    Another guy on TH-cam did the same thing and recommended few cheap parts from Amazon. I did the same thing on my Tour model and its very helpful. In the rear case, I got the OEM LED kit with the harness. Get ready, it is a little job to do this. Watch when dropping the right side inner housing inside the side case.

    Thanks, this video is a great help. I just downloaded the service manual.

    Subscribed! I have the same model and any ideas that make sense for practicality are of interest to me. I don't generally ride at night, but just in the garage with lights on still causes dark shadows when you are trying to find something. I'll be watching for updates.

    The Honda tour trunk has the same square cut out to install the Honda trunk light. So buy two trunk lights and they will fit perfectly. I did it to my 18 wing

      If you watch the second video, I already installed some really nice LEDs that look and function great. I don’t know what the OEM tour trunk light kit costs, but my solution is probably way more affordable and looks fantastic.

      Monarch did you buy 2 wiring sub harnesses for your lights or splice out of one?

    I'm thinking about, not to buy the original Trunk lights but some LED Stripes and put them in the Trunk and the saddlebags. So tust World bei 4 stripes. Do you think, that would make a problem with the canbus? They don't take a lot off power and make a very bright light; and by the way, the led stripes are much cheaper.......

    Great video! I’m in the process of installing these but in the process the hot wire bumped the frame and now that wire isn’t showing 12v. Any ideas as to what might have blown? All fuses are good.

    I installed the Honda trunk like and it appears to be the same as the cut out in the saddle bags, I did verify and with the trunk open and light off, I opened the saddle bag and the trunk light turns on.

    Nice video, but will the Honda puddle lights fit?

    • @mineaim7066
      @mineaim7066 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Lloyd that is a possibility. My Honda dealer doesn’t have any in stock for me to measure, but I may order a set to try. I wouldn’t mind getting a set anyway.

      Great question: If you have the wiring diagram, is it possible to “tap in to” the main harness under the seat without having to remove the entire front cowell, which is very labor intensive (several hours)? The puddle/entry light could be installed elsewhere in a nearby location for a quicker install. I believe those LED lights are weather/waterproof as well so it would be pretty seamless. Nice touch to walk up to your bike and the lights kick on! If you could make another video on the subject that would be awesome. Thanks!
