I just received my blue and gold 16oz gloves today. These gloves feel marvelous. I wish I had known about Fly earlier. I haven’t seen anyone in the states wearing fly yet. Which size gloves do you usually use for training and sparring ?
Amazing video as always. I was wondering if you could do a review on the Ring to Cage 34oz and eventually 50oz boxing gloves. I have heard that these give one helluva workout and tremendously increase your hand speed, and I am curious to see how the results look. You can find them on Amazon. Thank you for reading this, have a great day! 👍🙂
Been a fan of your channel for years, and just received my first pair of FLY gloves in the White and Silver 18oz. I have to say I’ve never been more let down by a pair of gloves in my life!!!! The left and the right glove feel completely different, the padding is terrible, and the thumb on both gloves are completely different. I will probably send them back and never order another FLY glove again. Never been more disappointed in a glove in my life.
Hi, really like your work. I received the fly x white and silver in 16 oz today. Really look like a nice glove ,the only problem i have with the glove, is that i weighted them and they are 13,9 oz... They have the 16 oz tag inside but i never had glove underweight by 2 oz. I am a pretty big dude so i really need the extra padding. I was wondering if I should contact them and if it happened to someone else.
Contact them Especially if you are sparring 13,9oz would be out of my acceptable range for a 16oz glove especially given you are a big guy and maybe sparring in them
@@jeffc7502 Very comfortable! Perfect hand position in my opinion. Best inner lining I ever had. Nice feedback on the bag. I got mine in 12 ounces because I will use them primarily for the mitts. If you are a heavy puncher like me I would recommend 14 to 16 ounces for the bags. The design in silver & white is absolutely beautiful 💪🥊
@@jeffc7502 If you want them in 12 ounces for the bag and you're a heavy handed puncher you could also use knuckle guards with them to protect your knuckles better. But honestly I didn't try it out myself yet.
@@nicolasd.3775 Thank you for those helpful and timely responses. As you’ve suggested using a knuckle pad for more protection with the 12 oz size, can I assume that the hand compartment on the 12 oz FLY X is not too snug, but that it would have the extra space to accommodate the additional knuckle pad weaved into a wrapped hand? Thank you again for your time and assistance.
@@jeffc7502 Your Welcome, mate! Honestly I've tested it out for you couple of minutes before I wrote that comment now 😂 I think I got medium sized hands with tendency to large hands (right in the middle). I tried it out with the winning knuckle guards and 4.5 m long handwraps. In my opinion I have a real good snug fit which isn't to snug or hurting. The protection is definitely better with the knuckle pad than without it. I'm sure that I can punch hard all day now with the 12 ounces and the winning knuckle guards. The size of the winning knuckle guards is perfect. But I wouldn't recommend to buy bigger knuckle guards because than I think the Flys get to snug with it. The only challenge was to get in the glove with handwraps and knuckle guards but even that wasn't to hard because of the nice smooth lining. Maybe the wrist part was a little snug while I was getting my hands in the gloves but it was not a big deal. I hope that I could help you with that information. P.S: I've got the velcro version of the Flys but they're pretty much the same like the laced ones. Keep punching, brother! 💪
Do you know the true weight of the gloves? I have a pair in the 12oz but the right weights 13 and the left weighs 15! I'm just curious as to whether this is just my pair although I understand it must be difficult to create a properly protective training glove whilst keeping the weight low enough.
