My friend is the same. It didn't scare them, but they thought it actually shocked you. (I was like that as well.) They became obsessed with shock machines when they were 12 thanks to a blog post on an antique one, but the one chance that they had to play it, they chickened out and made their family do it. Hopefully they can try it someday. It's not all that bad. It's relaxing, even.
This is amazing I have been searching for a machine like this for a long time I remember playing it on a school end of the year trip in Biloxi Mississippi :)
I played this on the highest level once when I was high and barely beat uncle fester. but I did and a big crowed gathered around me watching me do it. it was at an amusement park in M.N. I was with my cousin.
Hi there! We just got a working machine but the smoke/fog doesnt work, any chance we could pick your brain? We have been told by some the mechanism can be turned on and off? Also we cant seem to find any volume control on the boards or anywhere :) cheers to you!
the volume is in the settings menu if you press and hold the test switch button for 3 seconds it will come up on the screen then use high medium and low power buttons to go up or down
Good to see the love for this unique arcade novelty. It’s a simple, short, incredible experience.
It's funny how back then this game used to scare the hell out of me as a kid and now I'm dying to find this and play it for the first time ever lol

There’s one at an arcade in Norfolk
That is such a bad ass cabinet. Pier 39 has one. The only thing that wasn't there was the smoke.
I remember playing in this one I was 17 years old in 1999 at Peter piper...was fun

Hello
i want to buy one!
bell ring was too long, also nobody wants to listen to narration to start a game. you sort of ruined a perfect game
I think the original had narration too but it didn't have a Bell
