First time i heard a vibraphone was the theme tune to Vision On.1970's English tele. I was only 5 or 6 but was instantly hooked.Thanks for posting LLRC.
In my jazz band I also play vibes, but I kinda felt my solos were just going up and down with sixtuplets, I’m in middle school, so I’m still one of 3 best soloists in the band, but I wanted to add spice so I looked herr
In that first tune, y'all can keep up with those bent notes and that tempo better than I can, for sure. It's beautiful, but it sounds like one track is playing 3 beats behind the other to my untrained ear. 😍🥰🎶

I play the vibraphone in my jazz band and it's cool to listen to what's possible.

It’s fun except whenever you tell people what you play they look at you confused at least that was my experience albeit very very limited
