The course is worth buying, one price to download the entire course, no signing in, works offline. It has been a convenient and effective way for me to learn Spanish.
This lesson was a great confidence builder for me. My Corona virus lock down days have consisted of spending a lot of time learning spanish. I already knew every word used in the video, so what I learned today is how to string them together. I think it was cleaver that the word "thing" which I would translate as "cosa" is not used in the video. All these little words like lo, que and de have so many different meanings. Translating today required me to pause the video and think about the structures we were learning. The confidence builder is that I knew all the vocabulary so I could just focus on the structure with out needing to struggle with the vocabulary. I get my first shot today so my year of being on lock down is coming to an end soon. I look forward to actually talking to spanish speaking people. Thank you so much for all these lessons. They have helped save my life and changed it.
I'm stunned by how many 3-5 letter words starting with es end up meaning just about everything in terms of joining and self description structure words.
Lo bueno es que no hay muchos turistas aquí en Catalunya en este momento. (But if you were a business servicing tourists for a living you would have started this sentence with: Lo malo es…)
Lo peor es que los negocios son simbióticos, por lo que la mayoría está sufriendo. El turismo también crea empleos en las fábricas de papel y en los huertos.
Please sir I know it's off-topic question but could I ask why in the sentence "Ella tiene una buena personalidad" the adjective buena comes before the noun personalidad? "buena" should have come before no? Gracias!
We are often told that statements of subjective opinion trigger the subjunctive, and this usually seems to be true. But the statements in this video do not involve the subjunctive. So, "Es bueno que estés aquí " but "Lo bueno es que estás aquí." Why is one subjunctive and one indicative?
Never understood how to use 'Lo" in the beginning of a sentence. This video changed that. Thanks for uploading!
Same!!! 😎
Same here
El mejor de tus videos es que son cortos, claros y al grano. Agradezco tu esfuerzo.
