Tracy you turned a piece of junk into a treasure!! And getting it back up your stairs, holy smokes!! I can’t believe they wanted money for that! You did a marvelous job!♥️
Oh my goodness how beautiful! Love everything about it, the drawer pulls are gorgeous! Lordy, lordy you were moving that piece around like it was nothing! Be careful though one wrong move or slip and it could be tragic! That's a lot to do by yourself! So glad nothing bad happened! This is a gorgeous stunning transformation! Outstanding job! 😊❤
Thank you! It can get dicey moving a piece up and down the stairs. But I take my time, and plan my next step before I make a move. Yeah, it would bad to slip and fall!
Thanks! Painting the top just didn't feel right. I'm usually okay with old stains, etc. showing through a new wood stain. I let potentials buyer know to expect to see that kind of history left over.
I’ve picked from the curb a beautiful mid century desk, and it’s in really good condition too…. Except top looks almost as bad as your dressers…. Haven’t tried to refinish yet, but I will because I want to gift it to my daughter for Christmas…. Just bought oxalic acid, maybe it would help… if not I would have to put a new venire on top…. Because if I were to paint the top it would lose its value…. And desks like that are really expensive refinished….
My daughter used to live in an apartment with this kind of parking system…. It was really big space between apartment buildings with grass on it, but people have to walk long distances from the car to the door… they each have their personal door…. I don’t understand why it’s designed like that, why not make parking spaces right at the door…. Same builder then charged the design and build more apartment complexes with much more convenient parkings… my daughter paid for the parking space closest to the sidewalk that led to her apartment, because people would have guests and she had to walk a long distance with groceries after work….
I could park out front on the street instead of in the parking lot, but I wouldn't be any closer, and I wouldn't have a sidewalk. I don't mind it so much though. I'm used to it!
@ when we were moving our daughter out, my husband just parked moving truck on the grass, he refused to care stuff that far 😅.. She was so mad at him for doing so, but he didn’t budge😂, and nobody said anything…. Guy from the opposite building came out and thanked my husband for showing him that it could be done, because he was going to move too…. Luckily curbs are really low too…
Very nice save !!!!!
Thanks!!!
Such a nice soft color on a pretty piece! I would have tried oxalic acid on the top for the stains. I enjoyed watching the process!
I like it, too! I thought about trying oxalic acid but my limited success with it made me skip it. Thank you!

Thanks! Yeah, it's always an ordeal that I'm glad to have over with!

I really loved the lines on this piece! The curves and straight edges were so cute! This turned out really pretty.
It is a pretty piece that will now find a new home. Thanks so much!
Maybe oxalic acid would remove the stains? But even with the stains, it still looks 1 million times better. Nice job.
It might have helped some. Thanks so much!
Wow!!!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
You made it pretty again! ❤
Thanks so much!
Gorgeous! I hope you're keeping it!
Thanks! It would fit in with my decor just fine, but I just don't have room for it. ☺
Beautiful job
Thank you, Joan!
Those stairs are making me anxious 😬. Great job though👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So nice!! Wow! That is a great job. You need a furniture cart. I paint in my basement too😊
Thank you! Yeah, I keep thinking I need a rolling cart of some kind. ☺
It’s a lovely piece. I’m glad you didn’t paint the top.

@ I like seeing imperfections in old pieces. They’re much more interesting and one of a kind.
@@kayhenry6293 Same!
I've been wanting to try refurbishing furniture. You make it look so easy and do a beautiful job. Just please be careful on those stairs. 🙏
Moving Furniture is a pain the A..! 😂
You know it, sister!

I've had limited success with oxalic acid, but it's worth a try. Good luck with your desk!

@@alyb8058 In a pinch, they'll let us drive up on a the grass. The maintenance people do it all the time.
