We fished the upper portion of the tributary by the DSR boundary just one weekend this year and each got a couple fish hooked up. Awesome.
You put a sliding sinker on the line and have either floating egg sacks on the hook or even just little floating styrofoam beads. The idea is to keep your hook suspended over the bottom. I also tried float fishing with sinking egg sacks, but found that ineffective for some reason. Maybe was too hard to set the right depth. All my hookups were on tiny styrofoam balls.
