    Man, i've been thinking they need to make a oysi small with a smaller middle gap. being a slightly smaller footman, i feel like over 120mm in the middle is too wide, with it feeling less like flat and more like....luxury antirocker.
    ....kinda oysi they kept it hilo though, especially with wheel wells being all but standard in pretty much every skate these days...
    maybe they might do it in a non-fr collab...

    Can we get a measurement on the hblock height difference. That should show much less you have to flex to get boot down vs the Medium chassis

    • @oysius
      @oysius 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Oysi Medium chassis is 41.25mm and FR x Oysi is 40.25mm, but the contour of the groove has been refined so it’s not quite an direct comparison, the feel of the groove out of the box is more comfortable without needing a break in on a ledge since a lot of skating is park coping skating these days, a nice benefit of learning from the other models.

    • @LocoSkates
      @LocoSkates  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah I really tried to do this but the angles of the groove were just too different to make a direct comparison

      @@LocoSkateschoose a typical skate, them 909 in size uk7, fit every frame to them and measure the boot down angle on coping for each frame. This will give a comparative angle for each frame.

    Oysi Medium Chassis is 65 or 64 on the outside, not 68.

    • @LocoSkates
      @LocoSkates  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah if you skate the 68/60 you have to divot out the souls (or skate them with souls which already have wheel-wells)

    • @oysius
      @oysius 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You can fit 68mm max outer wheels on the Oysi medium chassis, the best match to that is 60mm inner. Which is a great combo it provides a really good balance of more compact but nice skating feel of the original chassis, but it’s a little bit anti rocker so it doesn’t turn as quick until the wheels wear in. The real match is a 67mm/60mm but there are no 67mm wheels.

    • @LocoSkates
      @LocoSkates  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@oysius Can we assume that when a 68/60 is under load it's just rides flat anyway?

    • @DUNC4N
      @DUNC4N 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I skate 68/60/60/68 on Oysi Mediums, the calculator calls it -0.5mm rocker aka "More Flat"

    • @oysius
      @oysius 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@LocoSkatesyes 68/60 still rides with all the wheels touching the ground essentially flat • The feel of turning is that it takes a bit more effort than just flat like 67/60 or 65/58 ( because there is more compression on the outer wheel urethane than the middles ) which of course takes more effort than using a rockered combo which is more swively as the rocker increases • 68/60 is a really nice combo it just rides a little taller than the default of 65/58
