The fact that ghosts were in fact a mechanic on the 3rd encounter is crazy
This is 100% the best dlc ever. No way anything beats it!
I loved the campaign; best yet IMO. I played solo on Legendary as a Hunter and I thought it was quite challenging at times.
I've been running tether the past few months and not being able to run that on Prismatic out of the gate made things interesting for survivability. Also not being able to have a suspend grenade and be pushed into grapple is not my favorite either.
Classic Bungie and their "play how you want; make your own destiny... as long as it's how we want you to".
I've been using alot of sname. On prismatic and the scatter nade.
I think the campaign was very good and really needed to be personal like that. I liked Witch Queen's more, but I never loved Witch Queen as an overall expansion I think especially after today Final Shape has way more cool shit to play
I don't solo dungeons so I thought the campaign was fun yet a proper challenge on a blind solo legendary clear. That last boss fight was truly challenging. Ended up clearing it with The Call: Red Death: and Curtain Call; with the Celestial Golden Gun. Worked for me.
I love that everyone plays a different class, in this episode! -thanos balance meme-
Learning that Myelin pays people to write scripts for him is completely unsurprising given his complete shock at every single lore tidbit. They discuss tonight. Lol
Great cast!!!!
TV, I love the wall o’ whiskey! 🥃
Lol geez watts you got me saying hoonter now 😂
Would've been so good to have Tefty, Pope, Briar and Holtz in this era of Destiny.
56:15 wild gato spotted
AAAA-F*ING-MEN!!! Product, derogatory or not.
36:57 This is why you equip grapple so that you can save yourself.
I loved the campaign. I think they could have just introduced cayde to the whole team all at once and then you slowly uncover all the specified areas together. And make it feel like an actual psychological attack vs just kind of stumbling on the vanguard. Other than that i loved it.
33:40 The look on everyone's face whenever Fran is rambling about stuff no one can follow.
He talks way too fkn much. Needs to learn how to shut up and listen
Whoop whoop!
Is it possible to get the episode on Spotify? The feed is not updating
With the downtime, you also have to consider that the raid was only 3 days away. I wonder how much more forgiving the community would be if that wasn’t the case.
I heard the president from Rick and Morty in Zavala's voice right away and I couldn't unhear it either
Any mention to how snare bomb on hunter no longer works the same with tappers ambush aspect?
Every time I heard Zavala, I thought to myself, Fran does it better. 😢
i think myelin has become too distanced from the game and isn't able to immerse himself in it anymore, i understand it but it's a shame that he can't enjoy all the great stuff as much as everyone else
I’m not sure where you’re drawing this conclusion. I’ve been playing since the beginning of D1 and I take mini breaks when the content sort of dries up and I’m definitely casual these days with a few kids and a full-time job, but I definitely think Myelin is still very much invested in the world in the Lord in the gameplay just like I am
I have genuinely been waiting 10 years to make a support build. I'm so excited to have a working one and it's actually super useful. There's so much healing for myself and allies I can even run an empowering rift.
That pivot to spoilers was insanely awkward…what in the fuck
If you don’t like trip mines the Hunter transcendence gameplay experience sucks a fat donkey chode but other than that it’s pretty good. I’d give it a classic IGN 7/10
Let TV speak, geez!
Finished it yesterday, still preferred the Witch Queen.
Every time some one says let them cook my soul dies a little
55:00 Those people are not the target audience of a day 1 raid. The Target Audience of the Day 1 Raid are literally the 'no lifers' that play the game for 22 hours per day and dont play any other games. Its not FOR regular people. Period. Why do you think the same clan won like 6 Day 1's.
wtf Fran...always this negative about D2 or "let's go back to reality check bs". Pretty annoying at times tbh. Can we just ENJOY THE MOMENT?
😂😂😂
Thank you 🙏🏻❤️
You have to have folks representing all views good and bad on a podcast. Would be way less interesting if you had 4 peeps saying the same thing. This is the destiny community podcast, not the let's glaze Destiny podcast.
@@liquidrufus Thanks for the feedback man. Really appreciate it and yes, all views must be represented, I agree with you. Sometimes thou, we should just enjoy the GOOD moments; it is very important to do so despite the negatives, for once, and let's look at the positives since it does not happen so often, especially with Destiny :). This is not the first time Fran is so negative about the game, it is quite a constant to be honest and my comment was related more to his general negative attitude towards the game which is actually and objectively doing pretty great at the moment and sometimes we must give merits to merits and always critically glaze it a bit :).
Take care!
When Fran talks about "everything's at stake" around 4:55 mark, I was wondering if I maybe played the wrong DLC for a second. My biggest issue for the majority of the campaign was the lack of urgency. After the 1st 3 or 4 missions the thing that popped into my head was "just how bad was this before the delay?". It wasn't really til towards the end where it started feeling good, like Myelin mentioned. And even then, it wasn't til the post campaign content that really started to bring me back into the world of Destiny. And the final post raid mission, man, that was something special.
They wanted to keep you in the pale heart the WHOLE time in the campaign which was very unfortunate. It missed out on giving the dread chances to shine on other planets and yes, nothing looks like it’s at stake.
No pvp talk? Hmmm...
Probably because Pvp is an awful way to try and get raid ready?
I haven't finished the campaign yet. What I can say about so far? I hope it gets better because I'm not impressed and it makes me sad.
A while back there were leaks about it being "Good but, not great." I'm thinking those leaks were accurate.
I felt nothing playing this😢 d1 beta vet and I felt nothing, I'll replay the campaign again and see but I was disconnected a bunch 😂
Up until the last couple of missions, the campaign was quite a let down. And again, the post campaign stuff is quite good.
Yeah after all the buzz I was left feeling the campaign was good not great.
I mean it's been 10 years. There's nothing Bungie can do at this point to impress anyone.
That’s interesting that you felt nothing. This is some of the best dialogue, direction, and just overall emotions between characters in all of destiny. Especially after today’s mission it’s hard to feel nothing!
Saaaame I was watching Paul tearing up and wish I was feeling that, but it's probably a combo of bad depression and 10 years of the game, so I struggle to feel enjoyment while playing, it was still a great experience even with that, I got quite overwhelmed which was giving me anxiety, there was just so many new things and so much going on haha.
So the pale heart is like Silent Hill mixed with the brain machine from Evil Within.
