And how does him wanting to own his own business means he's walking away? She basically just called him a gold digger by insinuating that if he makes a lot of money on his own,he won't want to stay
You know if you had let him franchise and actually have direct control over the branch you'd have made more money than with the original branch it's not his fault that y'all refuse to move forward
Yeah, this wasn’t about business. It was about control. She realized that he actually had the talent to have his own gym and she was doing everything to prevent it, but it’s a sound business plan he can get financing from anywhere
So... She didn't want to help fund his own gym to be a major competitor and take half the clients away and the story makes her sound like the bad guy? Sounded more like she wanted to save her generational family business but he wanted to bring it down from the inside.
She could've be part of that success. It's clear Eric had a good idea of what works, and wanted to pursue that. They could have all shared the profits. She didn't want to fund it, but then started sabotaging him, that's beyond not collaborating.
their business only kept up because of him, they werent her family clients they were his, what he wanted was to be an owner of his own business and instead of supporting someone she "loved" she tried to sabotage and control him at every turn, they could have easily asked him to give them advice about how to keep their doors open if they didnt burn the bridge not to mention their family didnt pay attention to what customers needed and instead focused on what looked good with brand new machines they wasted money on and the frankly insane idea of not letting personal trainers build a rapport with clients...how you can hear this and think that her family are the put upon ones in this is crazy to me they did everything wrong except owning a business they inherited, im willing to bet her grandfather would be turning in his grave watching how they ran it

Their business was actually saved because of him. She became a saboteur and control freak. She lost out. GOOD!
