About I Dream of Jeannie: Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman star in this classic ‘60s comedy about a genie and her master. season. She found fame quite late by today's standards for a female actor.
Barbara was 33 and 34 when the first season was filmed (December 2-4, 1964 pilot, January - March 1965, episode 1(a newly filmed scene) and episodes 2-11, June re-shoots, October - December 1965 episodes 12-30. That is the whole Season 1 Production Schedule Months.
Almost nobody finds that kind of "fame" at any age. Eden had a co-starring role in the late 1950s with "How to Marry a Millionaire" and been featured in several movies -- including one that inspired this show, called "The Brass Bottle." She was already well-known, but it was only after decades of syndication that "Jeannie" came to define her.
They don't write comedy like this anymore. I am glad I grew up in that era. Far superior to late night talk show hosts like Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert. They are politically correct.

Being stuck in a bottle for 2000 years, she would not know about the Titanic, Lusitania, or any other boat including the Mayflower or Christopher Columbus. The story line cannot be followed for she did not study modern history since Cleopatra days.
To me that's the big logical fallacy of the show - she met so many people throughout history. They should have made it 200 years trapped in the bottle, not 2000 years. With the bit about Titanic, she could have learnt of a few things like that after being released.
