About Young Sheldon:

Missy is one of the funniest on the show.
The character is very well written and Raegan is a remarkable talented actor.
Man, she sure owned that vocal fry!
It took me a few periods to get used to the feeling and I used to cry to mum a lot.then there is missy!

My ten-year old in her Halloween costume actually looked like Missy
I can see the hesitation for Mary buying Missy an American doll. Back then they were $82-$150. Which was probably like paying $200 or $300 today idk. I wanted them so bad when i was a kid but they were not cheap! I knew only one girl who's grandparents would buy her every doll and the accessories and she was spoiled 😂 their family wasn't super rich but they did well and had everything my family could ever wish for. They were the nicest family we ever met! 😊
Don't judge the character before watching the show and seeing the context.
She is a relatable funny kud you would definitely understand her if you actually tried to and weren't blind.
Her telling her father to go inside to get her pads instead and her asking whats wrong with you to her mother cus its rare for Mary to want to do something with Missy her daughter that won't get you hit or punished
People see her as a rude brat sometimes but that’s just how kids her age act. As she got older in season 7 she definitely had a character development
Missy is my 1st 🥇 favourite character on young Sheldon 😊

I love Missy, though if I had tried to talk back to my parents by saying "I'm not going in there, you are", or "What's wrong with you?", then I'd be grounded for the rest of my adolescence! TV parents are much more lenient.

From all the things you said, it's like saying that robbing, doing drugs or r4p1ng are a "double-edged" sword too because they might feel good for those who do it, because "kids like lenient parents" 1) is not true and 2) kids aren't supposed to like anything but obey their parents [when it's decent orders, of course].
Try being friends with your parents, they are basically like my siblings and and we take care of each other, I fly out of the state and don't tell them because they trust me enough to know I won't be doing what I'm not supposed to be doing lol, we are all 7 boys and none is irresponsible ofcourse they is always teenage rebellion and all at some point but it's all cool when you try to show them you're mature and responsible firstly by not seeing it awkward or weird to be friends with them, it's a sign of immaturity when you think being friends with your parents is weird, the way movies portray em

There is no way on earth I would have ever even thought to talk to my father like they do on tv, much less actually do it. The resulting physical pain would have been too much.

As much that Missy feel unloved, she is also a bully towards his brother. She should reconsider her actions instead of constantly telling Sheldon that everyone hates him.
That's how it is with siblings though the way Sheldon is it's understandable how missy is.
I relate to it like I'm a middle child I have a younger brother and older sister,I have ocd excema anxiety and depression many phobias .
I used to be close with both my siblings but a lot that they also do made our bond crumble,we barely do anything like interact ,we drift apart, I want to be close with older sister but she always priorities everyone but me just cares about her friends and others in the family and not me and I'm tired so I don't bother anymore
