At one time there were 7 to 8 areas to camp. You could also put a tent anywhere in the forest. During this period AEP owned it. There were over 300 lakes or ponds. I'm not sure how many there are now. Several large lakes have been drained the last 10 yrs. That was during the 1960s and 70s. It's still nice today. It's been a few yrs since I've been there, but the lakes are scattered all over. The best fishing is back in the woods. Camp ground lakes are overfished. The 1960s and early and mid 1970s were awesome. I heard that once odnr purchased the area they shut off some of the water pumps.
