In the instance that a party is in a war with no wargoal, one should be assigned - iirc, in Vicky 2, if you annexed a country and had a left over co belligerent still in the war, they would automatically be given a CB to liberate the country you just annexed. So in this case, Austria could have gotten a wargoal to cap you or land Egypt to increase their autonomy or break them from your vassalage. I think that could work
Yeah, agreed w/ the current system, but I also think the stopping at 0 thing is strange and gamey and is really the crux of the problem
@@generalistgaming 💯. The peace deal screen needs some work. I really like that you can have peace deals that give something to both sides, but I don't think I should be forced to cap unless my country is absolutely ravaged, lol.
@gordyhowitzer I hear that, it remains true though that there are circumstances that should enforce capitulation that don't. Patticularly in regards to foreign adventurism by the Great Powers
@McHobotheBobo I agree, I think it would be super gamey and bad if you could just have a war sitting on the back burner for years like can happen in EUIV
Would love to see you go for the Not Yet Lost achievement
That North German Federation at the starts looks kinda... like... y'know... Germany.
The truth hurts
just letting u know that the roman emiipre onvce has reached the danube river entirely so u havve to get hungarian, and austrian provinces aswell :)))
and ofc the answer is why? Cause the Romans thought the Danube is the line where they can make these big patrol stations and defend of any attacks from tribes. In Hungary we have a lot of place is where are ruins of the outposts big stone walls etc etc .I dont know if its a goal of this run.
@Ibm19000 They also at one time briefly pushed up to the Elbe. Empire might have been very different if they pushed up to the Vistula or stayed on the Elbe more permanently. Maybe we'd all be speaking vulgate latin lol
I enjoy the "modern" (19th century) Roman expansionism through economic domination followed up with a light smattering of military conquest. It's very on theme for both the time period and the Roman RP. Crassus would be proud.
RIP Crassus, keeping it real (exploitative)
Love HBO's Rome, to this day a personal favorite and strong contender for "best historical drama." R.I.P. Titus Pullo
Same
19:18 now that’s a high quality occupation on the Sinai
subjugating transvaal is almost always better than conquering because they have claims on northern cape and tswana so nobody else can colonise there
I feel like getting the gold faster is more valuable and if you annex them then you can colonize
@@generalistgaming yes you can colonise. But so can everyone else. And Great Britain loves to outcolonise that area.
Hi I'm playing as EIC, aristocrats don't want to leave their subsistence farms and work as officers or capitalists. What do I do!?
It's probably a general qualifications problem you're feeling because you discriminate against almost all your pops. Being a little bit more aggressive w/ unis can help
The war support calculation doesn't make a lot of sense to me, it definitely needs some work. It would also be interesting if declaring war and peace was tied to your political system, requiring autocracy on one hand or jingoism/legislative support on the other.
Yeah the ticking feels incredibly gamey and not immersive
Relaxing warcries to fall asleep to since it's 330 am for me rn also first
sorry for out of topic
How to avoid/reduce turmoil after annex/conquer a state? it's makes me frustrate because most radical in country are from recent change of government. How long these radical last & how to reduce it?
I manage to change from state religion to total separation without any revolution (devout
i get this a lot too and the most reliable way is to reduce taxes and try and get guaranteed liberties in home affairs. Low taxes increases Loyalists gain and decreases Radicals from SoL and guaranteed Libs will boost this alot. In the short term i would also consider violent suppresion and high level dedicated police to reduce turmoil effect so you can build in the state and upp the local SoL
Increase the population's standard of living in the state with turmoil helps as well. Fastest way to do that is through getting them jobs, and to less of an effect the emergency relief edict
stayed up till 2, but needed 3 😔
Good stuff👍
Thanks 👍
