Lagwagon played a benefit for Blue Bear Music programs at Miraloma Elementary School.
The proceeds of this concert will benefit Miraloma Elementary School's aspiring musicians by providing them with opportunities to team with the Blue Bear School of Music teachers in exploring and learning rock, blues, jazz, folk or pop instruments. The goal of this program is to afford all interested students access to instruments and instruction which aren't traditionally taught in elementary schools, providing them with the time and space to rock to their hearts' content.

Chris Rest rocking the underrated Mesa Stileto Deuce half stack, half Recto half British inspired tone. He always has good gear. Even in RKL he had a nice SG Junior which have become in high demand lately.

I had lost interest in Lagwagon after Shaun and Derrick left the band because they just kind of lost it but in this video here it sounds like the Hoss day's. I got the chance to see them live in Austin Texas back in the mid 90's for the Trashed and Hoss tour and were really good live just like this. Joeys voice sound pretty strong here.

Yes, absolutely, but that does not mean they were better or worse, they just changed their approach as I said, without losing their "spirit", I personally think there was no "before and after" I think every album is very unique... even duh and trashed are really different.
I personaly like both bands ,but the earlier RKL stuff is really good too.I m more into Reactivate (RKL) and as I said the compilation of all the earlier stuff... RIP Derrick Plourde ,RIP Jason Sears...whom I personaly both met.
drummer is dave raun who replaced Derrick Plourde in 1996 or 97.
more actual change would be Joe Raposo on bass who replaced Jesse Buglione.
I can see that Daves ADD is working full time on this set
rock n roll nightmare is waaaay better..Bomers drumming and bass and that cant be matched...
i think they are two different approaches to what they want to play... If you pay enough attention you will see that Dave Raun is an incredible drummer, and the new bassist, which I think is the same guy from RKL is really really good... just get RKLs riches to rags and you will see what I mean.

if they tour again with this lineup, they should bust out an RKL song. I mean, everyone here was in RKL besides joey.. even Flippin, he played in the final, ripping version of Rkl .. i'm not positive they would want to but it would be way sick.

punkgrl325 yea i think thats partially true, he tried out or something.. but hes younger than those guys.. and i'm not sure what he would do in RKL. They already had a singer .. hes good on guitar but i'm not sure he's THAT good. RKL guitar parts are pretty tough.

Comparing Lagwagon live to other bands live like Belvedere, NOFX, Strung Out, Millencolin, and Propagandhi, I have to say Lagwagon sounds the tightest... Which I think could be attributed to Dave playing faster than the record... where other drummers make it sound draggy by playing too slow.
Derrick was way better
He wasn´t. See old RKL stuff, Daeve was gnarly. Also Boz was great.
MrMotherfuck123 agreed. Different drummers for sure. Derrick was phenomenal, Boz too... but Dave is definitely more well rounded, and weighty. Powerful. Lot of folks don’t even know bout RKL,and how technical that shit is.
But let’s not forget, Bomer would eat them all for breakfast. Ha! Dave said that in an interview. Rest his soul. Miss that guy
