thanks!, I wanted for a long time to record/produce a song with deep house/french/funky house attitude. It was a difficult task, as I had to do some sampling and looping for that purpose. My standard instruments are not suited for very melodic content. Only Juno is polyphonic (4 voices only:/), the other instruments are all monophonic. Great for techno though:). Anyway I used a quite tricky setup with Traktor and Maschine connected together via Blue Cat's Connector, sending audio into Maschine directly and there been live looped and kept in the Maschine as samples/loops. Later on launched with my midi controllers. With different workflow, and different controllers during live recording/performance, very challenging also to keep drops&breaks interesting... I was missing another pair of hands to manage all faders, knobs and buttons :). I keep challenging myself to make electronic music, and not to stick to one format/genre, as this is taking the fun out of music making. The previous project was completely different. I think a proper raw techno banger, made off 909/303 with some basslines on model D and raw stabs on Juno are coming next.....
Finally an LP was released in August 2024, titled Abyss under moniker Errant. Album is a combination of Dub Techno, Ambient, Minimal Electronic music. Lots of noise, crackles, and ambient sounds were put together, tied up with heavy dub bass and 808/909 kicks. You can find examples of original recordings like Abyss, Lost of Time and Eclipse which are all futured on album, just edited and sound-polished more. All live recordings were edited, mixed and properly mastered.
