So I have to ask, I adore Ballum, maybe Callum more so but why did Callum need Ben to handle speaking to the widow & do the paperwork? I mean the former must have done it countless times and yet needs Ben to save him from the mean lady?! Really?! I can understand needing his help with Jay as Ben is his brother and is the one most likely to reach him but having to recuse himself completely is so unprofessional & childish, that I don’t really understand it. That’s not Callum! The dude does not need to be wrapped up in cotton wool. In fact they could have tag teamed and been even more efficient as partners, rather than making Callum seem like a useless damsel. 🙄
I’m thinking Callum could have handled it, he has handle other situations with families planning funerals. I just think he didn’t want anything to happen that may give the funeral home a bad rep. Jay lashed out at him so maybe he wasn’t sure how to handle this situation since it was personal to Jay, his boss and owner of the funeral home. Callum probably thought it would be better handled by the owners of this family business, which is Ben and Jay. Jay didn’t seem to be handling it well, so Callum thought Ben should step in. Just a thought. Been in a similar situation my self. And remember Callum is just an employee.
