Even if these markers gave you hard time, the art is always so vibrant and lovely. I won't get these pens though, I don't have the patience like you do to keep shaking them and add layers upon layers 😅😂
Yeah the colours are really beautiful and I'm glad the pens come with so much paint, I think these would work great alongside other products. You can achieve good results with these pens, it just might take extra work to get there which I completely get being a deal breaker 😅
Waking up to see you posted a video after i had a terrible night was like finding water in a desert. thank you for being such an amazing artist and content creator ❤
Your understanding of anatomy as a whole is so impressive omg. I love drawing along with your videos, bc your art inspires me to practice so to speak. Much love!
your creative process is genuinely just so satisfying to watch, it's just so aesthetically pleasing to see your main sketchbook with your ideas book and all your creations together. so beautiful, you're awesome
A Static Wool video on my birthday! Isn't that a nice surprise ^^ I've only been a recent viewer, but you've inspired me to experiment more with my art and even fall in love with acrylic markers. So, it's quite nice this video is about acrylic markers :DD
Dang! You put those things to the test in terms of surface material and layering. Beautiful art. Really nice video, helpful for people considering which set/what type of marker to get if they’re making a purchase, which is what I’m doing. But your illustrations are so gorgeous and have such a great sense of color ❤love it!
something i've been experimenting with with acylic pens is you can actually make refillable ones yourself. I've been using the empty molotov pens and filling them with golden acylic high flow paints. It's definitely way more expensive than just buying a fixed set like this, but if you're good at colour mixing, you can make any shade of colour you want, and then you can refill them indefinitely, pick what kind of nibs you want, and you still have the high flow acylics to use for other projects as well.
My only thoughts on drawing on glass is to let the first layer dry COMPLETELY before going over it, but you (meaning everyone) wouldn't think to do that since they are markers. Markers are just sort of a keep-going medium. I imagine you forget they are acrylic paint. I've never used acrylic markers so this is just my guess, lol.
Tuve que poner subtitulos en lo que decías y me encanta tu estilo de dibujo me quede en shock al ver los detalles y la calidad que le dabas me fascina esos materiales que usate👍🏼💜
Thank you sm for this realistic review and I’m also super obsessed with your art it’s very beautiful! I was planning on getting these paint pens because of the hype but I do draw small, so it’s definitely making me re think, so again, thank you for the honest review!😊
Love that you tried them out on different surfaces and gave them a fair shot! The bunny spirits are absolutely adorable and also menaces hehe I myself hate this kind of markers, they feel so scratchy, literally a sensory hell for me LOL
I'm not sure why I started watching this when really, I needed some audio to listen to while drawing... But your art got me mesmerized XD Makes me want to lick the paint
I know this is a late comment, but your videos brighten my day. Everytime you post i always have so much fun listening and watching you draw. Your art style is amazing, i love it so much. I hope that you have the chance to see this but, have a great day!
I have the same issues with literally every single pack of paint pens I tried out so far, it seems to be an annoying medium to use but somehow I (mostly) still end up liking the results :D I totally love everything you created, especially the little fox demons!
Well done on the glass! Smooth surfaces are really tricky because you've got way less friction than normal and it can really throw off your muscle memory of how to draw/color. You did amazingly though!
Every time your video pops up in my recommended it always piques my interest! I wonder for glass painting if you've tried sanding/scratching the glass before using the Arrtx. Truly acrylic should stick well on its own, but maybe having a rougher texture might relieve your feelings about painting on glass. Though I'd understand not wanting to especially if any scratch marks don't get covered. Anyway, thanks for the video it was a lot of fun to watch!!
If anyone is planning on getting that picture frame, I saw the same exact frame at ikea. I think they had silver ones too but don't quote me on that. Also, I love your art, the shapes, the colors, everything! I understand that the acrylic markers are not for everyone, for me they worked fantastically since my artstyle is more cell shaded and stuff.
Arrtx always market themselves as working on different surfaces but this is the first time I am actually seeing where it would work on everything else than paper or maybe for larger paper prints
i love watching your videos! it always give me will to draw and my moom soon will buy me arrtx acrylic marker! im soo happy ( sorry for my english, im not american) ❤❤
for the glass frame i was hoping you would paint on the back of the door thingy for a 3D effect but everything turned out great! i really liked greta ❤
Hey, I just wanted to say that I bought some stickers from your Kofi and they arrived!! I'm so in love with them. Where do you print them? I thought about making my own but I don't know where to print them.
Yay I'm so glad!! And thank you so much ❤❤ I used Sticker App, they're really awesome with lots of ways to customize your stickers, and their customer service is amazing ✨
Hi! Thanks for sharing! I'm curious what the benefit is of these oil-based(?) markers for these or Poscas it seems like these are just more difficult to use than the Arrtx brush acrylics. I don't really understand the benefit when the brushes are so easy and don't need shaking
@@NopeItsBurnt I think yeah, the surface usage is 1 point but also I think the nib size and the amount of paint these pens hold (which is a lot). I think it's just a matter of personal preference though ☺
The particular liner she used on the Greta drawing was an Ohuhu fineliner; she did a full video on them previously on the channel, they are alcohol marker proof for the most part, but not waterproof. She uses other liners as well, as the Ohuhu liners are a recent addition, but in this video they are the only ones showcased.
from what I know most paint markers/paints do struggle to be opaque on dark surfaces(I use posca's and they have the same issue on my moleskins) Lighter colors have a really hard time when going on top of dark backgrounds idk your experience w/ paint markers but I thought I'd let you know, I love your art btw!!! It's so bouncy!! ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა
also, when it comes to fabrics I recommend block printing or screen painting , they are definitely more unique experiences but I totally recommend them if you haven't tried them already, sorry for being a chatter box haha

My favourite has to be the piece on paper - I love the idea of the skeletal hands on Greta's corset!
I love the way the Ideas book cover turned out

The snake is awesome
Is it just me or should she make those demon fox things into a plush because it looks too cute 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Finally some honesty, these pens are just too runny and you cannot control the amount of paint that comes out thankyou for this

I agree. I did let them dry completely but with how I edited this video I don't think it's so clear.
@@staticwool My apologies then, it looks like you did it all in one go with how it's edited >.

I'll look into uploading a version of it to Redbubble, they have some good fabrics 😁

a tip for watery markers! try removing and flipping the nib. that usually helps me out.
Perfect way to start my monday!!! You're my favorite artist
