I love this car, I have the same one with the British Racing Green but Beige leather interior, 6 cylinder with 83k miles. Although its my weekend rider its always been reliable, though the top is no longer automatic. Thank you for you videos. Please post more.
We just recommissioned the top on ours. It involved rebuilding the convertible top pump. What issues do you have with yours? Maybe we can post a video to help.
@@LowTechGarage that would be amazing. It’s definitely something to do with the pump. I noticed a red oil coming from the bottom of the reservoir after it stopped working. I don’t have the confidence to take the pump out and go through it. If you made a video though I would feel a lot better. Thank you.
@@dustinbrooks1542 We just had to rebuild ours. I used this seal to fix the leak. We then got a leak with the valve on the top. I got those seals from Lowe’s (they were faucet seals) Seal: www.ebay.com/itm/292098838767?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8P8qksUHTBe&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Eozv7mfjTZ2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY This thread will help: www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/convertible-top-hydraulics-fix-71273/page3/
