the 400ci Mopar is a great engine to build it has the biggest bore out of all the big block mopars including the 426 and the 440 the only thing wrong with the 400 is that it was a smog engine so it had low compression and lot's of emissions junk including the lean burn system but with a zero decked block with flat top pistons and a good set of heads it's a good strong engine and you could build a stroker too with a 440 crank in the 400 and turn it into a 451CI and with the right stuff you can have a 500HP killer engine
You're right, I read up on then a little while back. Its wierd that parts online used to say "383-400" and now they say "361-383" or "361-400". And if its a B/RB part it now reads "361-440" on a lot of parts.
@@nightwrencherperformance i grabbed up a 413 a couple years ago against the naysayers advice. It turned out to be bored to a 440 already , had solid iorn rockers and a wierd reverse ground cam with an angle cut gear drive. I like the odd motors. Ive always liked the idea of a good set of heads on a small cu in bbm but i never considered head gasket or chamber sise mismatch.
Such a great body style. I'm starting at the beginning to watch this revival! Russell
Thanks man! I really appreciate it!
I'm not a Mopar man but if the Nightwrencher is doing videos on them... I'm gonna watch 👍 new subscriber
