He also made a big deal of not doing a sequel to a movie that made him famous and he signed a contract in the beginning to do. He ruined the acting in the last one so they wouldn't have him back. Makes him selfish etc.

This is coming from a literal life long Elvis fan…Elordi’s portrayal seems so much more genuine than that other guys. Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis movie seemed like such a parody. The Elvis in that movie just overplayed his role so much (accent, overall look with the black dyed hair and overdone eyeliner) that he ended up just looking like a caricature and Elvis impersonator ( which is probably why he didn’t win the Oscar). No offence! Well done Sofia Coppola!
A parody to show Elvis was a masterful producer of his band's sound, at rehearsal? A parody that Elvis had private doubts and fears in choosing to be a brand but not an artist allowed to grow and fail through creative experiments and engage with social issues? Was Elvis not a natural blond who dyed his hair? Is Baz Luhrmann a documentarian or has his own overblown style to fit his idea of commerce and show business - and what they do to people who want to make art?

Halloween is definitely gaining traction here in Australia 🇦🇺. My daughter has started working in child care and dropping my daughter at on Tuesday almost every child was dressed up. So it’s my guess that Halloween is soon to be the norm here in Oz too

So.. I just watched Priscilla… He. Did. A. Phenomenal. Job. I watched Elvis and loved Austin’s performance, and I didn’t think it could be topped to be honest. But after watching the film, I think, Jacob did a great job playing Elvis in his personal life, and I think Austin did a great job playing Elvis the performer. Which are two different versions of the man.
The movie itself was meh. But I’ve read her book and countless others so I know it barely scratched the surface of all the wild stuff that happened behind closed doors. But it was nice.
Jacob seemed like an impersonator and I couldn't get over the accent slipping.
I feel like Jacob's fans are feeling insecure so they are all over Twitter trying to say that Jacob was just as good, but he clearly was not.

I liked Jack Kerouac too but now he's just some writer I read. Alcoholic, drugs abuser and promiscuous aren't really my role models. It's important to read different books and when you are done reading it's important to read another book. The more I read the more I know I don't know anything. I like historical world teachers. They know a lot and been through a lot. You learn more from suffering than partying, sex, and drugs. A lot of these writers are drugs addict and alcoholic. So they write their experiences. What work for them doesn't have to work for you. Music, cinema and books are my stuff. There's not a lot of bright celebrities but Jacob is curious and that's a good thing.
