What an awesome car!. This car proves that Volkswagen New Beetle is better than the Chrysler PT Cruiser. The VR6 engine is like music to ears. Volkswagen has always been one of the greatest out there and their cars have a much better feeling than the Toyotas, Hondas, Nissans, Mazdas, Kias and even Hyundais thanks to German engineering.
Scott, no one needs to prove anything to be better than that joke of a car. To even remotely compare a Beetle and PT is kinda depressing, to be honest. They never existed on the same level, unless you _just_ count the retro appeal.
The PT was always a mediocre joke.

This is possibly the most overpriced car of all time. MSRP was $130,000 adjusted for inflation. That's ridiculous for any Beetle, and yes this is a special edition very limited production, but really what is special about it? This drivetrain was not then and certainly isn't now unique to this car or really that impressive. You could get a TT with this drivetrain and AWD around the same time, for less money, better looks, and lower center of gravity. And even then the TT was not the greatest sports car, even in its time. Why anyone would buy this thing is beyond me.
