Hi Graham You are right - oils flow better and stay wet longer - there are lessons in oils on my website. What i wish to let people know is that you can paint my lessons in any medium. I use acrylics as they are the cheapest and most available for many parts of the world plus I do not always like messy oils.
dear len , love ur videos, am new to painting only 3ys. cant get the leaves right yet changed brushes many times but dont get the right effect. anyway thks for ur contribution. lovely. jim
Hi Len,You should do tutorials on this painting in oils,i tried this with acrylics wasnt quite right lol (disaster) so i changed over to oils and alot better they are,and would like to watch you do wet on wet in oils. Graham
Hi ManNotRealy. I have never been impressed with any 'acrylic paint retarder' - for the price it seems to do little in slowing the drying time. I mix about 25% or more to the paint - It seems quite a bit out of the tube each time. (Sorry can not remember the brand) I added it to the white only. On my PaintWithLen website is a page about paint drying too fast - but I have not found a cure yet
I'm sorry - I worked alone and am not good at those types of things. I have never been able to afford to employ a filming team. Have retired now and enjoying gardening. Cheers

Sorry - I'm slow getting back.
This technique is easier when using oils, oils do not dry so fast.

hi great show, did you let the blue sky dry first before painting the clouds?
Yeh - I'm using acrylic.
Len, can I use this technique with oil painting?
Loved the tutorial but there was an annoying puzzing sound through the speaker. It was not my tv because it was not on other you tube shows.

No worries. I didn't mean it as a complaint because I enjoy your show immensely. Just wasn't sure if you knew this episode had this buzzing in it.
