Open terminal and type "chmod 755 " (make sure to add a space at the end.) Right Click the Sims 4 tray importer, then click show Package Contents > Contents > MacOS >. Then look for the file that says "S4TI_launcherMac" and drag that into your terminal and run it. Then exit Terminal, right click Sims 4 Tray Importer, and click open from there. Hope this works for you!

pictures won't show on mine
I downloaded cc and have a bunch of broken cc and i apparently need a tray importer to delete it. do you know if that really what its for or whats the use of the tray importer
holy shit it worked!!! The steps were a bit different for me, I had to put the code on the terminal first before I could accept it on the setting but nevertheless, I got it, thank you so much!!!!

It keeps telling me I don’t have permission to open it
Right click and from there click Open!
I did everything right but it says that the app was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer. Do I press open anyway or no? I’m scared because I don’t want to mess up my laptop.
This is from 10 months ago, but you should right click the app and click Open from there and the option "Open" pops up. I know a lot of Simmers use this app to delete their broken CC so it's safe!

in my settings it didn’t say to open anyways , but i did everything correct
Tried this it’s opening but no pictures showing.
So I was doing some digging through the forms(15 pages of comments 😪) and the modder is currently working on this issue, but this was since April. It's something with Big Sur and he doesn't own a mac so hopefully, we hear something soon.

Hey, I keep trying to do this, but the Terminal says "No such file or directory" What am I doing wrong here? I've downloaded both the Tray Importer and I've installed Mono.
Edit: Ok, so I've looked over all my apps and I'm not seeing anything for Mono. So now I don't know if it's actually installed, where it's at, or what it may have done to my laptop!
It’s not an app it’s a software that’s why you can’t see it. It allows your Mac to act more like windows with downloads from what I understand.
Type mono --version . If the terminal session returns a "Command not found" error, you either don't have Mono installed or you have a broken installation”

I'm having a problem where it doesn't download sims4 tray importer as a .rar file. It shows up as a .exe file and no matter what I have tried I can't open it.

You can go on The sims 4 resources web site, this is the one i use in the beginning. you download the cc you like then put it on your the sims 4 file. it’s difficult to explain but you can find it on youtube easily. 😉
