Cheers Dave, thanks for watching my video and comment. Im just about to do another Deltic, this time it's in the old style green livery The King's Own Scottish Borderer. So should be uploaded in next couple of hours. Hope you are keeping well Dave. Best wishes mate, Kevin 🙋♂️👍🤝📽🚂🎞👀
Thanks for watching my video and comment. The Napier engines sound fantastic with their deep roar. Need to use my Prodigy controller to test all the sounds & functions. Cheers Kevin 🙋♂️👍🤝📽🚅🎞👀👂
Absolutely stunning model. When you consider a model of this quality is just £160 (£250 with sound) it’s really quite remarkable the detail and quality, a few minor niggles aside. For a very first accurascale locomotive though…. Accurascale customer support are also extremely responsible and helpful.
Thanks for watching my video and comment. Also thanks for S U B. It is very good price for sound loco compared to other manufacturers. Just a pity so many of us have had wee bits of detail in the bottom of packaging after transit. But there's so many fragile bits these things do happen. Cheers & thanks again, Kevin 🙋♂️👍🤝📽🚂🎞👀
The Porterbrook Deltic is my first UK model I bought. The Deltic is a UK Masterpiece and I really love the Purple livery and the engines are so unique! Mine runs poorly at first, it had a truck/bogie that was jumping, I found a round and flat piece of dirt attached under a wheel. When I turned upside down the locomotive to check the problem, a little piece fells off. I can’t figure out where it goes but it isn’t broken. It looks like some sort of valve, probably is something that was attached to the fuel tanks. I have a question: do you know what types of coaches/carriages were pulled by the Porterbrook Deltic?
Thank you so very much for watching my video and comment. You might find it's the same piece that was in bottom of box when I opened mine. Its most likely a valve that I have been told sits between the fuel tanks. You could try looking at THE PARTS DIAGRAM to see where its supposed to go. That's the advice I was given. About the coaches, I'm not sure. You could put a search in Google for photos of it & see what it's pulling. What I'm going to pull is a rake of 11 Purple V Tanker wagons I've got. Might not be typically hauled behind this loco. But rule #1 comes in then "its your layout so you can run what you want on it". Happy modelling, cheers Kevin 🙋♂️🤝👍📽🚂🎞👀😉
Thanks for watching my video and comment Alan. The motor is so smooth & silent straight out of the box. Might not need running in, but it wouldn't harm if you did. Cheers Kevin 🙋♂️👍🤝📽🚂🎞👀
Absolutely splendid mate love the livery and sound functions awesome such a mega cool deltic, such a shame spending so much on it, to then find it having a missing screw, I completely felt your frustrations must of skipped the quality control, fantastic video as always kind regards Danny 👍🏻👀👋🏻🤩
Thanks for watching my video and comment Danny. Does piss me off that the SO CALLED quality control ISNT DOING THEIR JOB. That screw should never be missing. Yet again corners have been cut, & its SHOCKING for such a great model. Cheers mate, Kevin 📽🚂🎞👀🤝
@@bluebellcentralmodelrailwa4064 The screws are not there to hold the body in place, it has clips for that. I'm sure they'll send a spare out if needs be.
I sense the broken part on this model (and your D9000 model) are a valve/pipe from the end of the fuel tank (on the inside end between the outer tanks - turn the loco upside down, the part is all but invisible from normal view angles. Hopefully the one at the other end is still in place so you can see where it goes. And try contacting Accurascale about your missing screw. Its not acceptable but hopefully they can provide you with a spare. HTH
Cheers & thanks for watching my video and comment. I won't be looking at fitting these little bits I have found. Way too much fragile details. Now I've received all my Deltics I will contact Accurascale via their webchat & ask for the screw & the Head Code info sheet. Cheers Kevin🙋♂️👍🤝📽🚂🎞👀
Looks like the same type of outer packaging as the W1, model box in a large box and a bit of brown paper to try and stop it moving! That worked! Such a great model otherwise! All the reviews I’ve seen so far, have had problems with bits breaking off during transit! I fear for mine when it arrives! Hope you get yours sorted!
Thanks for watching my video and comment. Yes my two were packaged in same state. Huge box with 4 pieces of brown paper to take up the slack. There's so many wee fragile bits on these locos bit are almost certain to come adrift. I've got another one yet to arrive, so let's see how that goes. Cheers & thanks again for watching, Kevin 🙋♂️👍🤝📽🚂🎞👀
Thanks for watching my video and comment. I will contact them on website. Its just a pity you cant actually have a spoken conversation with them. All communication is done via Live Typed Text. I bet they will want a picture, so I best get 1 ready. Cheers mate, Kevin 📽🚂🎞👀🤝
Thanks for watching my video and comment Andy. No Sorry I didn't figure it out. I really need to run the loco properly on my loop & use a better controller to try to figure it out. Accurascale have released some updated info on these models. I received an email with about 5 or 6 links to certain info. So I need to check these out. For all I know the loco might have to be running at a certain speed to get a response for that function. Cheers Andy, all the best, Kevin 🙋♂️👍🤝📽🚂🎞👀
Hi, I bought the same deltic, but only has time to hear the sounds and see it run before I wentintohospital , when I get home I will the quality. I did notice F11 red lights did not seem to work, are they working on your loco? Simon
Cheers Simon, hope you get well soon mate. Thanks for watching my video and comment. My controller only has 10 functions. I have to search through my boxes to find my better dcc controller to check all functions out. Hope there isn't a problem with the tail lights. Stay safe my friend. Cheers Kevin 🙋♂️👍🤝🙏📽🚂🎞👀
Love the sound. Great looking locomotive. Thanks for sharing. Dave

A rake of pullman coaches, either Hornby or Bachmann wouldn't look out of place as loco had been used for Rail Tours. Cheers Kevin 🙋♂️🤝👍
One thing missing from mine is nothing in the manual about running the motor in cheers Al

Thanks for watching my video and comment Alan. These models do look great. Safe handling is definately required. Cheers mate, Kevin 📽🚂🎞👀🤝

Cheers, Andy.
