Your story about your dad reminds me of the time my flights go so messed up that I was going to be stuck in Dallas when I was trying to get back to Austin (where I grew up), so he flew to Dallas, rented a car, and drove me home! Driving in the middle of the night it took a bit over 3 hours, which is really good timing b/c no traffic.
