    As a non-American citizen, he seems like the best man for the job. I don't care about Republicans or Democrats, but you can tell that he is an honest man, which is more than you can say about a lot of other politicians.
    Americans would be very lucky to have this man as President.

  • @teronie213
    @teronie213 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Obama is great. His eloquence is superb. From the onset of him announcing his run I felt he was a force to be reckoned with. But I was originally thinking that America wasnt ready for a black President. But this man transcends color barriers - you dont see him as a black man running for President, you see him a great candidate running for president -I wasnt around for MLK but i now feel what people generations ago felt when i see Obama.
    We are witnessing History in the making.

    to TavernWenchBlog: Obama wrote this speech himself. He is not only an inspiring speaker but an inspiring writer as well. It is kind of like watching the West Wing come to life!
    And this is the first time he's given this new speech--it will get even better as he gives it again and again over the next seven days.

    Hey DanBerkeley, How many people do you know are "intelligent"? How many people can you honestly say are truly "inspired"? See the difference. Ron Paul is a good man with sound policies. This is a turning point in American history. This is a precious opportunity to manifest the destiny we've all dreamed America could hold for its people and the world. Inspired leadership is what is needed. God bless you.

    Anyone who has 'solutions' this very second for the problems our country faces lives in a dream world. He isn't supposed to have the answers now, but pick the brain of our finest as president to make progress. He knows what the problems are, and he has a track record of solving issues in his own state by severing bi-partisanship and having DIALOGUE. The most important quality in wisdom is being able to listen, and he has the ears and the heart.

    Obama 08. There is reason why JFK's speech writer and advisor endorsed Obama in September. America is in a rut, and Obama knows how to change it. And he will. Read his book, know his intentions, and realize his pragmatism. Common ground amongst all parties is the answer to this rut

  • @hubbabubba9849
    @hubbabubba9849 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm definitely voting for Obama. He's the first politic I can actually agree with. For example, pointing out our dying economy and failing school system. Those are the main problems around where I live. Also, he seems different from previous presidents, almost trustworthy. I just hope he's not all talk like most of our recent presidents have been. Although, he does seem much more like a "people-person" so I doubt that.

    @cornball1 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    For me the difference between Obama and any other presidential candidate this year is that you can look at what he says he will do.
    Edwards, Clinton say that they won't let special interest control them. Obama didn't even accept money from special interest groups when everyone said it couldn't be done. That in itself is an accomplishment that no other political candidate can hold a candle to.

  • @mongobobo

    This is a hell of a speech and so exciting...But I can't help noticing that it was so perfect and moving that it seems so impossible to fulfill all his promises. He'll be a charismatic leader, loved by his people. But is it in his capability to lead your country to the right way?
    As some one said, it's like Aaron Sorkin. But that's TV, ain't it? Isn't it about drama?

  • @tsbicca

    One argument that is obviously stated against Barack Obama is his lack of experience. Please, when you think of professional sports and how they draft new comers to make immediate impact, its almost a direct correlation to what this man will/may bring to our country. For a lack of better words, in terms of reputation and image, we are suffering abroad. The world, the world, the world has to "Stand for Change."

  • @eraserfunny
    @eraserfunny 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    I sure dream for the right thing to happen. This man is undeniably our hope for redemption. But it's hard for me to comprehend why he's not halfway on top of the polls. We have the right person, but i don't he will win. The majority of American's are not listening and doesn't know what is best for them.

  • @iwrlja
    @iwrlja 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    i do agree that obama is quite charismatic.
    ive listened to many of his speeches, and he repeatedly uses the word hope and change. But I honestly don't see any substance in his speech.
    All I see is a guy who wants to sound like MLK.... MLK was great as an inspirational figure to drive civil disobedience. But I don't see him as the head of the state implementing solid policies that would actually bring change.

    He doesn't necessarily have to bring that up in this speech...he has been campaigning for months.
