I really like mark being here, hes always been one of my favorites. Hard part is, most everyone on the show is a favorite. From bill and josh all the way to king shine sutton himself.

hahahah these straight up southern good-ol' boys are out here seriously doing damn alchemy at a pretty high level lol. I mean, they innately understand how to use the various chemical components in order to produce exactly what they are wanting to make. They probably never learned much about formal/technical chemistry, but hot damn, they have innately mastered the chemistry of that moonshining process.
Crazy to think they were doing this over 100+ years ago without TH-cam or google.
Don’t mean to burst ur bubble but it doesn’t take a person with a degree in biochemistry to make alcohol
@@Ihu162 my point was that they probably can’t scientifically explain every little process for making that alcohol, but if something tasted “off” or they weren’t getting the desired result, they would know exactly what to do to yield what they want. Like, they just intuitively have a practical knowledge of biochemistry for this process. They know exactly what to do on a chemical level to give them the exact result they’re looking for. I wasn’t trying to say you have to have a degree to make moonshine or something like that, just that these guys actually do have a pretty good knowledge of that stuff within them, whether they realize it or not.

I imagine it's to distill the alcohol an additional time to increase the proof, but don't qoute me on that

Does slowing it down increase the pressure in the system, hence why some rumors i know of these things exploding? I assume slowing it down gives the vapors more time to heat up or something but I really don't know.
When I make beer and hard cider I reuse yeast and as a result I'm able to make stronger stuff because the yeast adapts over time

Me and a mate got on the piss the other day drinking 64%(128 proof) whiskey. I did warn.him. it can mess up your outsides too. Next day me mate had a black eye, covered in cuts and bruises he got trying to make it the 30m(33yards) odd home.

If you are making 180 proof alcohol, using grains is stupid and wasteful. You strip out all the flavors with the high proof, so you'd save time, money, and effort by just using a sugar wash.

Please explain how you can be attempting to make 180 proof, when you can’t have 102% ABV unless the the container you keeping the shine in is also made out of ethanol, ya dumbos
180 is only 90% the higest you can go is 190 which is 95%
I promise you no one is worried about the fashion police... T-shirts or no shirts! Tim ain't never wore a shirt & He is the most successful at accomplishing everything! Hell I even bought a bottle of climax moonshine n never drank a drop! Gave it to my alcoholic liberal x roommate! He went crazy & riped down my trump flags n was evicted 24 hours later💥. That was the climax of that bottle!

100% bullcrap. 4 hours?!?! Yeah right. A run from a still is 6 hours at a BARE MINIMUM!!! This show is just a joke.
Wondered if anyone else felt this way...I take it as entertainment and got several good chuckles along the way..laughing at, not with..the 4 hrs got to me mostly..more n an hour to get heated up before running.. Im learning to treat it as entertainment and not class..
