- It's pretty fun to break old men's hearts and take their record - @CaylaRivas after breaking the Bonneville land-speed record in the twin cylinder, naturally aspirated class for 600-750cc.
The earlier record stood at 100.1 MPH, but by the time Royal Enfield left the salt flats it had jumped to a new high of 157.053 MPH (pending FIM ratification).

She comes from a great family. I used to occasionally pay bass at their church and when her dad wasn't racing he played drums and he was a great dude super humble you'd never know he was a record holder and NHRA champion unless someone told you.
It's a smart strategy by RE. Putting a girl on bike reduces weight by half. Less weight, more speed! But feminism starts where common sense ends.

Maybe, but just like an SS modified Harley, there ain't much of a HD engine left once you start throwing in new bearings, pistons, conrods, valves, cams, etc. The only think left that's original might be the engine casing, but I bet that's possibly strengthened too.

jim beam The 650s are insanely reliable. Enfield backs them with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty, with roadside assistance to show how much they trust them. I’ve been using mine as a daily, and occasional weekend toy in the mountains. They really are great bikes, nothing like precious enfields.

But I still think Burt Munro said well when he said something like this: "Anyone can buy a fast motorcycle but to buy a slow motorcycle and make it go fast is something else". Ok, Royal Enfield is kind of a slow, there is some similarity. But. Munro build a fast motorcycle by himself. And I saw a picture of him, there he had a T-shirt that read "Dirty old men need love too!" So, I and other old men can be nice too (even if we look old and ugly)!
But, times change. I read a critic write of "The World's fastest Indian" that "children might get bored of the slowness of the movie". Ok, the critic didn't get it - I think someone could, still?

Fun is competing at Bonneville whether your a man or woman. Women have been racing and breaking records at Bonneville for decades. I have been going out there for eight years and never heard a comment on whether a competitor is a man or woman. Her record is outstanding but her comments about breaking old man's hearts by taking their records is disappointing.
Don - I just think it's youth, nothing else. It is true that the average age of racers at Bonneville is older which might explain her reaction. The reason most racer's are older is because it is expensive to race at Bonneville. There are few factory sponsored teams, occasionally Indian, Triumph, Harley will sponsor a team directly or thru a dealer. Perhaps she isn't aware that most teams are privateers without the support she has.
I would expect the Royal Enfield company to offer some better advice before releasing the video. I don't think most of the racers will hold that one comment against her.

how to make a bike frame or chassis and what material pipe and welding type to use
You will have to first design it in a software like solidworks, Catia etc then use stimulation software like ansys to test your design virtually. The choose the perfect material according to your motive generally carbon steels are used in these like AISI 1018, 4130 etc . MIG ( metal inert gas) welding is used vastly as it is not that expensive and does the job right.

Sorry but.... The only RE stuff in that bike was Engine, everything else was custom top notch stuff which RE will never give to their customers. RE bikes in current condition are not worthy.
Give good parts and ask for good price, and then people will buy it for performance instead of the Dub-Dub sound....
Well RE bikes sold in India are carp the ones they actually built for the European market is actually quite good.for most Indians they don't usually notice but even Toyotas,BMW's,Honda's, Suzuki's sold in India are garbage compared with real Japanese and European version of the same car.
