I use it on night-dives here in the Philippines on "low" only. "high" is way too bright for that, and scares away the creatures, before I even get a better look at it. For outside the water use, i think it gets too hot, also the magnetic switch gen get stuck. Happened once when I accidentally switched it on when putting it in my bag. 15 minutes later I could not switch it off, had to remove the battery. After cooling down, all was fine again.
No issues that underwater. tried it on multiple with 25 - 30 meter dives during day and plenty of night dives.

I have the same flashlight. The switch on wheel is getting stuck very bad while trying to operate it. Any idea how to loosen/ lubricate it? It’s less than a year used and I think the sand particles that go in are making it difficult to turn.

I would have liked you to switch on and off from one position to another with one hand, as this would be the case during the dive.

I also have this light, the ring can be rotated easily using your thumb while underwater. I wasn't wearing a dive glove though but I believe it's easily doable as well as most dive gloves can have rubberized material on fingertips to help with grip.

@@Sherif_Hamdy Believe me, I am talking about a personal experience. I have had this lamp for three years, and I use it for underwater fishing. Every fishing trip I turn it on and off more than 100 times. Oftentimes, your fingers slide the power button at the crucial moment to see the fish inside the hole, until I I attached small pieces of metal to prevent slipping and facilitate operation, the second disadvantage of the lamp is that the start button must be lubricated because it loses its smoothness with frequent use

1600 lm underwater sounds like a candle, especially in dark lakes.

The 21700 battery doesnt work with this flash light it’s false advertising. I got that battery and although it goes inside but the back cover does not close because the battery is too large. The only battery that works for this is 18650.
