Heading to Koh Chang next week. 5 days of diving with BB divers. Staying south in Bang Boa near the pier! Koh Chang is a great place for outdoor activities.

We loved our trip there as well, back in Surin for a week now. After driving the roads there I have more of a sense how steep the roads are there. Great Place to visit. It was nice meeting Dave at Annie P's. Good exercise getting to your rooms. I'll have to remember Infinity, we didn't get to that one. 👍👍

Hi Chuck. Tell Daz when going up stairs to turn the foot with knee pain outwards. When knee is not straight the pain should be minimal.
the pain is worse if the leg & foot is not straight....every knee injury is different....getting better, just very slowly! but thanks anyway

I didn't make it to Koh Chang yet but I'm planning for 2024 for sure. Thank you Chuck and Paige for always showing the real whether good or not so good. I have had this lingering question as I have watched your recent videos over the last few months and it's more insightful than negative as some may take it. Why Thailand for you? What makes it such a special place even when you can get restless and need to travel from time to time to avoid boredom and monotony.
Mostly the weather and the people. you can see by my comment section. The west has a problem with judging people and Expecting them to act accordingly. Here the culture doesn't expect much from me as a foreigner. Just to be happy and enjoy the moment. The sense of freedom is number 1.

No problem with the luggage checking out... just sling it out the window and pick it up when you get downstairs! 🤣🤣🤣 Actually, I have to sympathise with Daz, having a weak knee myself. Not as bad, but I do feel it climbing stairs sometimes, especially if I've already walked a few km that day. Damn, I feel hungry now. I think I'm going to have to warm up the passport!

I do feel for Daz. Just had total replacement 2 months ago and I'm heading to Jomtien to retire mid January. May even bump into some of the gang along the way. Going to hit up Koh Lipe first in April for diving and snorkeling trip before Koh Chang. Does look wonderful. Have fun gang.
I did a diving trip in October. my knee did good while diving(which was great!) the difficult part was climbing up the ladder after the dives. Even with taking my gear off in the water and handing it up before going up the ladder....but made it through the trip! :) my knee was happy when the diving was done
I feel for you Daz my knees are bad too. Being big and tall has a price
Just learning to except all my aches and pains for all the fun I had when i was younger. If I had no pains now.....means I had no fun before. I had a lot of fun back in the day......so dealing with it now. :) And hiking injury last year that caused the lastest issue.....very slowly getting better.

The blue monkey go better with your color scheme on the tailgate. The Don’t Mess With Texas sticker and the red TH-cam sticker co-ordinate a lot better with blue than beige.
Hello Chuck and Page, Great Videos. I just came upon one the interview with Daz. I'll be he lived or lives in Vacavill/Fairfield area. I'm in Pinole about 15/20 miles he knows. Working at Chevron he drove past Pinole everyday. Once again Great Videos and thank you for what you guys do showing Thailand.

Was our go to island also 20 year ago, now to commercial.
I have not been to too many deserted Islands that Tourist are aloud to stay on except a few that are National parks. But the other side of the Island is still Thai style and less populated. In 20 years a lot has changed...Everything changes my friend...
Try Ko phayam, you cannot take your car there but it’s how Ko Chang was 30 years ago
@michaelgreenwood4014 Thanks for watching this video, we have almost all Thailand islands in our platlist videos of our travels. We don't like to stay in high-end resorts normally except low tourist season. but on that island we were limited to electricity. It wasnit was a very comfortable as we are not really the backpacker type. so I think all of this back-and-forth just really depends on Our own personal preferences. I was only sharing that on the island of the video you're watching today has a quieter side and more thai style.

It is there job. Here in thailand women do hard labor including construction. They're much stronger than the men here and a lot stronger than women in the west.
Women there are strong not whispy wimps like your country.
