I really truly do not understand the Calvin Ridley stuff. Not one bit. For starters, he hasn’t been good since before the pandemic. On top of that, last year he was in a better offense, with a better quarterback, and no major competition for targets that matter for fantasy. Now, he’s a year older, on a worse offense with a far worse QB, and has to compete with one of the best target earning receivers in football. He’s not going to just become Atlanta Calvin Ridley again. His ceiling is matching his season last year, and I don’t want that in the top 8 rounds of a draft lol. No idea where this love is coming from from the industry. He hasn’t demonstrated any proof that he’s still good at football. The Jags felt comfortable replacing him with Gabe Davis, that tells you all you need to know.
It’s just his low cost, that’s pretty much it. You’re not really giving up much to take a chance on a guy that many feel could still be a top 15 guy. If he works out, it’s a great value, if it doesn’t work out, who cares?
Some guys are just not meant to be a #1. JUJU is a HELL of a #2. Ridley with Julio was ELITE. Last year Jags got him to be the #1. He is not that guy. But with D Hop and Burks and this offence wanting to be a Pass happy offence. He can be a solid Fantasy Value with his ADP.
The Jags played Ridley at X where he was on the line of scrimmage and couldn’t be moved around. They played him like he was Deandre Hopkins when he doesn’t win like that. Deandre can play X because he can run every route on the tree and is playing at the same height as ridley 20 pounds heavier. My prediction is that Ridley will be much more efficient this year, and his situation looks a lot like when he was across from Julio in Atlanta. I don’t think Hopkins is washed, but Ridley will benefit greatly from having that presence at X allowing him to played at Z. If Will Levis is ANY good Ridley will outperform last years numbers
and in my opinion, he looked great last year. Just wasn’t used right
You think Levi’s is far worse than Lawrence? I beg to differ he balled out when he played. Also Ridley was open 90% of the time and Lawrence wouldn’t even throw the ball his wag

Yeah I’m getting a lot of Pacheco as RB2 and Ridley as WR4 in mocks. For Pacheco: top tier offense with a workhorse RB and unsettled receiving corps. For Ridley: Callahan and the Titans signed him to be Ja’marr Chase.

I don't get the Pickens hype. He's a good player... but do we really trust Arthur Smith after the last few years with Pitts/London? I like Pickens the player but the Sith Lord is gonna strike again.
You’re right about one thing with the Titans. It’s not Ridley, it’s Hopkins you want.
I find it insane how it’s looked down upon when you’re a RB and you’re 26! 26!!!! That’s young! It’s crazy how they value RBs
I love RBs in the NFL I'm excited about my Ravens having Henry.
That being said; you're going to on average have better performance / $ with a RB on a rookie deal. RBs start to decline at about 28.

Jason is right about AOC. The man was third string till Josh McDaniels and the OC got fired. QB coach was promoted to OC though he has is very young and inexperienced. Really, really tough situation. He did finish his last five games with 9 tds vs 1 pick, though.
Mike! I'm so glad you're coming around to Sam Darnold! I have him as QB 18. This year's sleeper qb of the year!
My projections put him much higher, but that's best case scenario: 4,200 passing, 28 tds, 250 rushing and 6 rushing tds

Love Burton but there’s not enough catches for Burton after Chase and Higgins get theirs. Higgins is in a contract year and I expect Burton/Gesicki/Iosevas/Chase Brown to split third receiving option catches. Give me Cooks if I’m banking on injury for WR5.

I’d be taking Christian Kirk over George Pickens if they didn’t draft Brian Thomas in the first round. Although, opening up the jaguars downfield offense might complement Kirk’s skillset beautifully this year. I don’t have those answers, I like both players to improve over last year’s numbers.
I like the Burton suggestion but don't be so fast as to completely and totally ignore Andre Iosivas. The team seemed to like him last year as well.
Ballers, arthur smith is the OC for PITT now do we think pickens can break out with this in consideration?

Fields will start in Pittsburgh at some point this season. 200 of Pickens’ 1100 yards came against a Bengals secondary that had major issues.
Unless Russ gets hurt I think Fields will only see a few plays a game package if not just sit for entire games at a time
Can’t take away big games from a big game player. Especially with how putrid the QBs were. They didn’t even have decent college level QB play
@@NobleVagabond2552 That’s a popular viewpoint, and I get it. I hate the Steelers so my opinion on their QB situation is purely intellectual. I don’t see the upside in Newton at this point in his career, both the Seahawks and Broncos were happy to move on from him and I don’t trust him as a field general. I don’t think Fields was surrounded by much in Chicago and I don’t trust the Bears organization to handle QBs correctly. I just think Fields has more upside with a Steelers organization that I respect grudgingly.

I have Calvin Ridley on several dynasty teams & I've tried to trade him away since last season, no takers. No one wants him. Just like Amari Cooper - he might as well be covered in dung, lol. So if he does breakout, I guess I'm sitting pretty; however, I'm not holding my breath (well, maybe I am bc of the smell)
I got a 25 2nd and ben sinnot for him during our draft
My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined for the 2 seconds I thought we wont see Andy getting revenge this season for what happened last season!

Terry has never had an elite season and we simply don’t know what Chubb will be like back from injury, his second devastating injury to the same knee. Even if he’s mostly back to his old self eventually will that even happen this year? How many games will he play, maybe he’ll only be in a committee now. Your reasoning of he got paid big time money makes no sense since he got paid on the Jags and couldn’t do WR1 numbers. Hes gonna finish at best 15 but could easily be 30. He’s a best ball guy for sure, but he’s not worth it in the first 7 rounds
