@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA You can check my 90mph video out on my channel. I had to take the body off and run it with no body because it kept doing back flips as air got under it....lol. But since that day I haven't had much luck with this car. Today I did 74mph and crashed like 3 times...I couldn't keep it straight. Same for my slash 4x4 speed run car. I got up to 84mph and the pinion and spur grenaded their teeth.
I definitely love the Frog!!! The first Buggy that I went Racing with in 1985. Sweet memories! That TT02 is really hooked up! You're right, the stock Steering is PANTS!! I can't wait to be able to afford an Aluminium upgrade. Carmine ✈🚂🚙
If you do upgrade your motor mount Id suggest staying away from the adjustable one. I heard the motor can possibly slip from its position under pressure particularly if you running a more powerful setup like with a 3s battery causing the spur gears to strip. Id recommend the fixed position engine mount upgrade.
Ran the adjustable one without issues and got the car going close to 100 km/hr. I do agree on reflection the YR alloy is a waste of money. The Tamiya upgrades are far superior but expensive.
I've just finished building a TT-02B obviously not a rd car but same chassis. Can't wait to see your speed run. It looks AWESOME with all the blue aluminum upgrade's.
The frog is a great choice! It is a true classic. Punky Brewster had one on TV in the 80s, I've wanted one ever since! P.s. volume levels much better, thanks for that, it's noisy where I watch TH-cam!
My kind of content! My advice is get some Ulti foams from Walters hobbies to help with traction. And a good body like the Toyota GT1 form Two key rc. Then find a nice long wide stretch of road and use all the range in your controller to build up the speed. Looking forward to seeing some more of this.
Thank you Stew , your Speed Runs are Awesome 😎 and I appreciate your advice. Yep I’ll be testing and trying things to hopefully get this over 100 kms/hr
Hi, which how many T Spur Gear and T pinion Gear, Do you put in? Do you ever go to Newcastle Radio control Onroad club at old williamtown tennis court club?
Haven’t been to any local races for about 15 years. I enjoy the building and hunting down rare kits side these days. I used the high speed spur gear, adjustable motor mount and a 26T pinion. The Chassis became uncontrollable and I ended up selling this one on.
Thank you 😊 The Build is Slowly progressing in the line of other Builds. Been a little delayed By postage on some Upgrade parts. But hopefully I can Show the Build in the coming week or two 😎
RC Action Australia can’t wait to see it then! I have a tt01 with an acto power brushed motor and with 7.2v 4200mah nimh, I’ve gotten 35mph out of it, on standard gearing
I like this electronic upgrade could u please list the parts u used as I'd like to build it .I'm not very good at RC knowledge .if there is a more suitable part out u could list that .hope this message gets to u and u find the time to reply .if not that's ok have a great Xmas .
the tt02 can u get carbon chassis for it ? have u used ceramic bearings? the frog car its a great car i have 3 of them are u going to build the car or leave it in box for them to build? paint the body? etc any upgrades to the car or not great video
Really cool project. I love the TT02, i have like 13 of them now in different configs. 9T brushless will be insane in that car :) What's the pinion and spur gear ? Tip if u did not know: the YR upper arms bend easy so put in some titanium turnbuckles. I'm waiting too for some parts myself. That virus ...... :(
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Well, that's disappointing. LOL! Thanks for the reply, though. I'm new to RC and I'm building my first TT-02 now. I have a second one with a few Tamiya hop-ups that will be next.
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Not sure that I'm ready for a speed run build just yet but I will definately keep that in mind when I get there! Thanks for the advice!
That is a very good looking car, what body will you be putting on it? Th Frog is a great car for your giveaway, let’s hope I haven’t subscribed to early. Ha, Ha.
I have afew bodies but I’m thinking I’m going to need a sleeker Body to really get the best out of it. No mate I don’t record weeks / months in Advance. I Film & post weekly. Frog seems to be a Favourite. Thanks for Subscribing 😎👍🏻 I hope you enjoy the Channel and Share
That 02 looks slick with the blue alloy! I'd like to buy one when stock arrives in Australia, not much around at the moment. I have a couple of HPI Lamborghini an other low profile shells that will fit tt01/02 because they are such a low profile car and the low cg should make them handle to. Looking forward to seeing your run vid mate 👌🦘🇦🇺
I love the TT02. Got mine up to 90mph so far looking to get to over 100 this year.
Wow 🤩 I’d be happy with 60mph

Same here in Japan a lot kits and parts out of stock , this looks easy too work on👍🏻
Thank you 😊 Yes the Virus has halted a lot of supplies. Yes the TT02 is basic but a solid basis for this project 😎

RC Action Australia can’t wait!👍
This Set up went very close to 90+ km/hr in a TA05. So I’m interested to see how the TT02 Performs and can be modified As a Speed base Car
RC Action Australia can’t wait to see it then! I have a tt01 with an acto power brushed motor and with 7.2v 4200mah nimh, I’ve gotten 35mph out of it, on standard gearing
Very Nice 😎 the Previous Set up in this car Was a 15T Brushed motor, Hobbywing 1060 running 2s Lipo and it was a pretty Quick car.

What ESC was used here? Is it less powerful than Hobby wing 1060?
It was a Hobbywing 9T brushless set up
the tt02 can u get carbon chassis for it ? have u used ceramic bearings?

Unsure about Carbon Chassis , Ceramic in the gear boxes.

Yeah I’ve already Upgraded the Front To Titanium. 68T Spur and 25T pinion to Start with.
Love The Frog. It's on my list to get.
Interested to see how fast you get the tt-02 to go.
Thank you 😊 Yes I’m keen to see how Fast I can get it going 😎
Just got my first ever TT02. You have some really nice hop ups on that mate.
Thank you 😊 my Speed attempt was a fail! Lol
RC Action Australia there is always a way
Did you ever run it? I don't see a video about the result. Thanks!
Yes! I Ran it and it hit 87k/hr and suffered a high speed crash and the car no longer exists
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Well, that's disappointing. LOL! Thanks for the reply, though. I'm new to RC and I'm building my first TT-02 now. I have a second one with a few Tamiya hop-ups that will be next.
Nice. Stick with the stock parts of your building a speed run car. The plastics have more flex if you hit something 😎

How much u spend on upgrading brushless
Shouldn’t spend more than $150-$200 on a decent Brushless combo and Lipo battery
Very cool man 👍
Thank you 😊
What damper set you are using?
They were the 50mm Yr set
Cool thx

I like to watch these videos except when they go off subject at the beginning.
bro what is the gears u are running
Standard High Speed gear Set from Tamiya
@@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA i dont know thats why im asking whats the pinion tooth and spur tooth count please help
The high speed Gear set is a 68T. Pinion gear anything from 23-25T but I’m using the YR Adjustable Motor mount so I can use any pinion size.
