    Do they throw as much snow into the air behind you like the 95s? Loved that attribute

      The 96 is exceptional at rooster tails. Not many better skis out there for this application.

    Hi guys! Im probably not gonna do bad with any of the skis I’m gonna mention but I hope you can help me decide which one to buy. I watched a ton of your video reviews and I have some ski’s in mind. So: I’m quit an advanced skier. Always focussed more on carving and I love to keep doing that. I like to have a ski that has a good all mountain performance: Good in the morning with hard packed snow but also good for more slushy and bumpy snow at the end of the day. Maybe occasionally some powder but not a big fan of skiing powder or trees. I do wanna challenge myself to do more freestyle skiing in the park (180,360,switch,railing) and im going to buy my first twin tips. With all this information for which ski should I go?
    The Völkl Revolt 96 was actually my first choice. Looks very good like an all mountain and playful ski for in the park and on piste. Curious if it will satisfy in my carving. Maybe the faction is better in that case but is that also a good as an all mountain.
    Some others options I’m thinking about:
    - Faction prodigy 1
    - 2024 Nordica Unleashed 98 Ice
    - 2024 Rossignol Black Ops 98
    - Head Oblivion 94
    Would love to hear from you!!

      I personally really liked the heads, they have really thick edges and sidewall, and faction has poor dirability and I don't know about the others

      The nice thing about the Revolt 96 is that it's pretty sturdy, so it does hold up to firmer snow and carved turns quite well. I would recommend, if you go that route, that you move the mount back about 3cm to take advantage of this performance. That said, the Unleashed 98 is the best carver on this list by a decent margin. If you're looking for a twin that carves, get that one.

      I watched some videos of you reviewing the Nordica unleashed 98. Looks indeed like a really good carve ski. On the other hand it’s not for a beginner park skier, right? Is the revolt 96 in that case a better option? Or do you have other recommendations?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@danielvanvugt1 I don't think it's a good beginner park ski, mainly due to the metal. Revolt 96 is a better option here and still holds up to non-park skiing as well.

    I was really considering getting a line twp for park but i noticed a retailer in my country selling the 2025 model of the volkl revolt 96 for 50% off, would this still suit my needs for a park specific ski or should i spend more for one that may be better suited to park.

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm a huge Revolt 96 fan, but it's a tough ski to be park-specific as it has some weight to it. If you're cool with a slightly heavier park ski, it's great, but we've found that it's not for everyone and you kind of have to want that type of feel.

    quick questian im around 180 cm still growing should i get the 173 or the 181 i dont realy know alot about longer or shorter skis can u help me? or should i get a nordica enforcer?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the 173 makes sense here as the skis are on the heavier side.

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a breaking point to the ski--if you push one iota too hard, it goes into that slarve mentality. If you stay right under the threshold, it's right there with you.

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like the roundness and stoutness and consistency of the Revolt 96 but the Prodigy is more playful in the tips and tails. I'd rather use the Faction if park or freestyle is closer to the top of the priority list.

      @SkiEssentials  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! I found it to be very fun in the bumps and trees. I did move the bindings back about 3cm from the center and I even think I could have done more in order to maximize the all-mountain capabilities.

      and which volkl skis are the most for freestyle can i pls know.

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is a pretty pure twin tip with a center mount point that emphasizes the park performance. While it can function on trail, it's certainly more directed to freestyle. The Volkl Revolt 90 is the competition slopestyle ski as it's truly symmetrical. Weight is purely subjective. Some competitors prefer heavier skis like the Revolt 96 or K2 Poacher, while others prefer the lighter ones like Armada ARV 88 (about 1600 grams vs. the Revolt 90's 1800).

  • @jeppedds4932

    Do you think they are good for a pretty new guy in the park?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pretty good--they're on the heavier side so beware of that. Armada ARV 94 has a lot of similar qualities with a lighter feel.

    How would you compare this to the Chronic 94?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They're both fun and capable skis that ski better when skied centrally--that is, less pressure on the tips and tails in order to access performance. The Chronic is a bit more flexible in the ends of the skis while the Revolt is more consistent. Slightly more park performance with the Revolt while the Chronic feels like a narrower freeride ski.
