Good pickup on the lyrics both in english and japanese. Not many people credit the Band founder and Rhythm guitarist Miku Kobato on how she writes basically all the lyrics to their songs it is absolute genius on how she finds words that follow the melody and rhythm in both english and japanese . She also did not know how to play the guitar when she formed this band in 2013. The lead guitarist Kanami Tono is her guitar teacher who composes all of their songs.
Kanami doesn't write everything. Until yesterday, I didn't know that Miku writes too. Miku wrote the lyrics to this song. She also does so much for them off stage according to the members.

Welcome aboard, Tox. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 95 million YT views!) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (over a 100 songs with their latest album, “Conqueror”, and a new drop coming Jan. ‘21), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: th-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/w-d-xo.html Their later songs drive even more - Different, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts! And many are represented with over 30 well produced music videos. th-cam.com/users/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” th-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/w-d-xo.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s three of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. The first taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: th-cam.com/video/__1th7ctgMo/w-d-xo.html, the second taken by JT Dayo in LA: th-cam.com/video/4uIYBkAybCI/w-d-xo.html, and third, JOSER8845 in LA: th-cam.com/video/usWZvlGGDSs/w-d-xo.html. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.). There is a huge amount of musical talent in Japan and Band Maid are head and shoulders above them all. Talent off the scale. A genius lead guitar/ composer, genius lyrics from second guitar and founder, world class bass and drums and a singer of quite exceptional skill.
Welcome to our worldwide club of masters and princesses! Their official YT channel have a few live versions as well. th-cam.com/users/BANDMAIDvideos. No need to specify song they're all great. They add english phrases to help us sing along. You may notice after a while that choruses in japanese aren't that hard either.
From JAPAN ■ Introducing BAND MAID and the latest news. (^^♪ Thank you for Reaction BAND MAID. BAND MAID is a 5-member girls rock band. They are hard rock band and are now considered by fans to be one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually perform 23 songs and 2 hours live. They were formed in Japan in 2013 by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Kobato had experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara Tokyo and had the idea of playing hard rock with a maid costume. That's why the band was named Band-Maid. "Thrill" was their first music video in 2014, played 2 million times in two weeks and saved them from breaking up. At that time they were just around 20-23 years old. And then they have been doing LIVE overseas and increasing their fans. Now they are writing, composing and arranging all the songs. 31 songs have been released on their official TH-cam, all of which are killer songs. BAND MAID's online full live December 13th. The new songs "Different" and "After Life" will also be performed. Enjoy the deep dive into these Mr Gnome...all shades of rock, genius composition and they SLAY live (Instrumental masterpiece is 'Onset'...no kidding!!)
Lovely reaction and insight. Band-Maid is very much a genre-bending band at times. At their core they're a rock/hard rock band. However, they have influences in pop-punk, blues, jazz, metal etc. and have songs that can cross all these genres. A few more Band-Maid suggestions. slower rock ballad - Daydreaming more metal - Rinne Hard/Classic Rock - Dice/Domination And for something really cool check out a song they did for April Fools blending in Traditional Japanese Instrumentation under their alternate name Band Maiko - Secret Maiko Lips
Welcome to the Band Maid wormhole! You’re gonna be in here for awhile. Choose Me is one of their more pop-rock pieces; they have a wide variety of sounds. You’re spot on about the thrash metal undertones/hints and if you want to hear that part of their sonic spectrum, check out Rinne (music video) and Real Existence (Live).
Loved your reaction to the most talented women/musicians on the planet today IMO. As a musician of 56 plus years I started following Band-Maid back in 2014 when I saw there first video "Thrill" I was amazed. But I thought it was a joke at first. Then I started to check out interviews and articles from around the world about them. Again I was amazed by the genius of the Founder of the band Miku Kobato the rhythm guitarist and writes the lyrics to the majority of all their music. She found Kanami Tono on the internet Kanami is the lead guitarist and writes and composes 95%of of their music. Akane the drummer and MISA the bassist both went to the same prestigious music school in Japan together. They started out as 4, but Miku Kobato thought her voice wasn't good enough for the music so she found Saiki Atsume and the rest is history. I just find Miku Kobato is more about the what is best for the band and the music. In my opinion if you listen to all of their music, they are more a progressive rock band. It's because of all the different influences of music they put into each and every one of their songs. The song "Alone" was their first song that their management company let them put on a album and that was back in 2016 and they exploded after that. Sorry for the long comment, but I love these beautiful and talented musicians. Keep Rocking. 🤘🤘
This is an early track from Band Maid when their record company wanted a more pop punk / pop rock sound. Newer songs tend to lean more into the rock and metal styles than the earlier songs. Also, I'd highly recommend watching their live videos. Seeing them live take their music to a whole new level. Someone recommended Domination live (February 14th, 2020), and I second that.
@@toxicgnome8445 Avoid 'Different' for a while...it's full-on, complex...like all their albums at once!! Check the recommendations first and then you'll be prepared for the whirlwind ride :-)
Band-Maid is just the best rock band on the planet at the moment, male or female! Any Band-Maid song is great, pick away! Live is amazing, but the mv's are great too! Kanami writes the songs and Miku writes most of the lyrics and together the are pure genius!
They're called "Band-Maid" because they're a band.....of maids..... The band founder Miko Kobato (rhythm guitar/backing vocals) worked as a hostess in a maid cafe in Tokyo in between gigs (she was in an idol group prior to being in this band), and thought it would be a nice contrast having a bunch of cute girls in maid outfits playing in your face hard rock.
Great oberservation about their lyrics. It is even more awesome, since as some japanese reactors pointed out as a japanese speaker some of those english lyrics can be heard as japanese words and they even make sense in the context
Band-Maid pretty much relaxes on blocking as long as you pause it a handful of times. You should be ok with any music video or live video on their TH-cam channel. You should try Domination (official live video) for your next Band-Maid song.
The YT algorithm is weird. You get respected reactors getting strikes but loads of others reacting to the same songs without pausing once & they get no comeback.
Welcome to your journey down the pigeon hole. I prepared this little guide to help you handle the adventure you are about to embark on. Once upon a time in Japan.... Miku (Who is a 300+ year old pigeon... long story) was in a short lived "idol" band in Japan and ended up working in a "Maid Cafe". She came up with idea to create a rocking band in maid costumes. A "Gap" as its called in appearance to action. Miku found singer/songwriter Kaname (Lead Guitar and main Composer), who knew Akane - AKA "The Gorilla - she likes bananas a lot! (drums - Jazz and Classically Trained), who knew Misa - AKA the "Barefoot Assassin" (Bass, Jazz and Classically trained). [Grab a post-it now and paste to your desk - Miku (B/U and Rhythm,) Kaname (Lead) Akane (Drums) Misu (Bass) Saiki (Vocals)] Putting it together... It became apparent Mikus voice wasn't really suited to the style and so they decided to go find Lead Vocals and brought in Saiki. This basically put Miku out of a job in the band she created, but instead she adapted and Kaname started teaching her guitar. That's right. She couldn't even play in the first video they did 6 years ago. Now she has a 70-80s style aggressive punk style attack on rhythm and Kaname is constantly expanding her guitar parts in challenging ways. All while singing backup. Personally, I never could sing and play ha-ha Their first actual song they wrote and recorded was "Alone". They have changed label since and have joined a new one now for the new album going into 2021. Their look, songs, style etc. are their own. Not studio directed. Pretty cool these days. Note: Miku is the main lyricist and writes in heavy metaphors that can be interpreted many ways and often confusing in translation. So, they often add parts that audiences of any language can sing along.
Well, if this was your first time seeing Band-Maid, you got the name quicker than I did. It didn't hit me until the middle of the second song. Face palm! LOL
BandMaid- Dice, Play, Freedom, Domination, Daydreaming, Bubble, Blooming, Puzzle, Moratorium... I could go on and on. You can pretty much just pick one and go.
You've got to watch the 'live' videos on the youtube page. They are better live!!!! 'Domination' is great and 'Freedom' features a drum solo. 'Onset" is an awesome instrumental.
So you know bands where if you've heard one song you've heard them all? Well this band is the opposite of that. You have to listen to the live for sure before you've heard them, and keep in mind that their songs are very diverse in terms of poppy, hard slamming rock, power ballads, etc. To get a different feel and to see them live, from here I'd go to either Real Existence Live 2018 or Domination Live Feb 2020 from their YT page. They have a large catalogue and if you stick with them you'll find that their song writing is so good that it's impossible to find a clunker. They just range from "really good" to "holy crap!." They always seem to cheer you up when you listen to them, and this song particularly is a good one to hear if you need a mood pickmeup. Anyway, welcome to the world of maids and don't stop here whatever you do.
We LOVE/LIKE ALL their songs lol thats why we dont recommend specific songs ;) LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE BAND-MAID REACTIONS!(I havent had a need for other bands currently Band-maid is on loop!) they do varying rock genres: pop rock, soft rock, rock ballads, punk rock, classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal. Kanami(lead guitar) us responsible for the song writing in general. Akane(drums) and Misa(bass) add to what Kanami writes you can thank Miku(back vocals/rhythm guitar/lyricist) for the Lyrics ;) 80s female rockers? Pat Benetar/Joan Jett ps. if you want other japanese rock band suggestions can do that as well, nothing quite impresses me personally more since i've been listening to Band-Maid however. ;) Super Beaver, One Ok Rock, L Arc En Ciel, Asian Kung Fu Generation, Ellegarden, UVERworld, Radwimps, Man With a Mission would be other suggestions. MEET ME SATURDAY is a pretty good cover band as well.
If you want high quality live performances then I'd take anything from their official channel. Otherwise you're forced into fancam territory, most of which are fun to watch but less fun to listen to. The lives of Onset, Real Existence, Domination and Freedom are all great, and Freedom is also the best example of the band essentially having a party on stage!
Welcome to band-maid pigeon hole. Every now and then, reactors do their top 10 band-maid songs. Popular songs for reactors are thrill, puzzle, real existence, alone, domination, freedom, moratorium, blooming, different, rinne, play, secret my lips, don't you tell me, take me higher, yolo, glory, turn me on, bubble... Oh my, there are already 18 songs you haven't reacted to that you could. Then there are beautiful rock ballads, like daydreaming, endless story, wonderland. Don't be long and without holding back are instrumental. And there are so many obscure gems that many people secretly want you to react to. I have about 50 bandmaid songs in my play list. Most people commenting here are presumably the same. Other bands that are worth checking out are, aldius, bratz, maximum the hormone, ningen-isu, doll-box... lists go on, but I don't have any other bands whose songs on my play list exceed over 3 songs.
over 100 song catalog and every single one of them is awesome. Especially their live music (don't worry about the official videos, they are if anything less subject to copyright issue (may get a claim, but usually no strikes.) A lot of Japanese bands thrown in English with their Japanese songs, but Band-Maid is one of the best (if not THE best.) One Ok Rock is another band that mixes Japanese & English beautifully. Other bands that you have been missing from Japan (and Asia) BABYMETAL : Incredible heavy metal band fronted by 3 Japanese girls and 4 of the best heavy metal musicians in Japan, maybe even the world (they started out when the girls were around 12/13 and have been playing together for over a decade now ... not at all what you might expect unless you're expecting super awesome metal of every sub genera played better than any other band specializing in those genres!) One Ok Rock: Mentioned above. 4 piece rock/pop/heavy band that like Band-Maid is just something special. Dimash : not really rock, or heavy metal, but this man is the worlds best singer ... I know, you're thinking that's just my opinion, but no, really, this is an objective truth, he literally is the worlds best singer ... look up "Dimash SOS' and you will be saying the same thing with extreme confidence (just don't use the video from "The World's Best" .. an American talent contest that cut the shit out of his performance, then lied to him about the competition (he told them he would not compete if there were children in the contest, they said there wasn't and there ended up being a number of children ... Dismash would have won easily, but he dropped out from the $1M contest because he wanted the children to have an opportunity ... that may sound arrogant, but when you hear him you'll understand that was just the truth!) Japan has a ton of great Heavy Metal bands, but I'm not that into Heavy Metal so others might be able to give oyu better advice in that area. Welcome to the world of Band-Maid, IMO the world's greatest band!!
Band-maid kick ass! Many Japanese band and artists in Japan use English in their songs. Most times it’s a word or a small phrase. You can tell if they good at singing English if it’s a long song in English. Good examples Namie Amuro is Japanese artist who later albums has full songs in English. She is a R&B artist. You should check her stuff too You should check out the Japanese band name Scandal. I can give you some suggestions and links for Scandal songs. I hope you do a react video for Scandal songs soon.
Every song on their official chanell is great, especially live ones, and they are fine with using them to reaction videos. But posting anything ripped from DVD is big NoNo. Fortunatelly there are chanells with pretty good fancams.
If you would like to know how good they are live look out for the YT chanel of Vladimir Chupin. He has a video uploaded from a concert from 2019 in Hamburg and it has more than 110,000 views. If you watch it you will know why. These ladies will blow your doors off. The sound quality is very good and he stood only 3 feet away from the stage. Better live feeling you will not get in this damned COVID time.
What else you say is there? Try the Japanese band, Maximum The Hormone (MTH). Band maid's drummer and half gorilla Akane ( A-Ka-nay) attributes her desire to be a drummer after seeing Nao (MTH female drummer) play. As for lyrics, I think it's all in the syllables to fit in the score, and to sound cool but still get the meaning across. As a 1st gen Japanese American, growing up my family would most often speak both languages in one sentence because it was easier (flowed better) but still got the point across. It's probably a little tougher for Miku and Saiki to get that all done only knowing Japanese but now learning English. I'm still trying to figure out the phrase "Break a new Gate" from their first MV, Thrill. I suppose they were trying to say "knock the wall down?" I don't know but they are the best (in the world) at what they do.
All Japanese bands combine Japanese and English in their songs. Nothing to do with English audience. It's written for the domestic audience that way. I get what you mean when bands translate a song it quite often won't work because of the different sounds from one language to another. But these songs are originally written with a combination of the 2 languages, sometimes the meaning of the English words is irelavant, as it's the particular sound that they are incorporating into the music.
🐦 _(Some of _*_BAND-MAID_*_ popularity is US and Europe so when _*_Miku_*_ writes lyrics she like to throw in some English words so when they perform live the crowd sing with them.)_ 🐦

And many are represented with over 30 well produced music videos. th-cam.com/users/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” th-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/w-d-xo.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009
Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.).
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements, melodies and High Priestess mediator between the Gods (Band Members) and the masters and princesses (Fans). At 26 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Leader) as Miku calls her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away the persona. Her charisma, performance and voice focus the experience.
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 29 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kurrupo! No, no, no… KURRUPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Naw-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 29 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 30 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Assassin" - Bass, 28 years old. A sullen, barefoot, dark spirit driving her 5-string bottom-end to hell and back, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. The Mysterious One literally kills it… every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!

There is a huge amount of musical talent in Japan and Band Maid are head and shoulders above them all. Talent off the scale. A genius lead guitar/ composer, genius lyrics from second guitar and founder, world class bass and drums and a singer of quite exceptional skill.
I cant argue with a word u wrote.
Still can't get over how good the drums are in this track, incredible. Such a great song.
From JAPAN ■ Introducing BAND MAID and the latest news. (^^♪
Thank you for Reaction BAND MAID.
Full scale live is 2 hours. 23 songs are played and there is also their cute conversation. l-tike.zaiko.io/e/bandmaid1213
★You can watch it with anyone at any time until March 13th, Japan time .
They will release a new song "Different" on December 2nd and a full album 14 songs "Unseen World" in January 20 .
The new song "Different" will be the theme song for the animation "Log Horizon 3rd season : Destruction of the Round Table " that start in January 13 on NHK E-TV (educational broadcast) Japan.
They will perform live at Nippon Budokan, the sanctuary of Japanese music, on February 11th .

BAND MEMBER They are unique, serious, shy and cute women.

Saiki : Lead vocal, the youngest, and member call her a teacher and she make various decisions. likes bullet trains.
Kanami Tono : Lead guitar, composer (prolific genius), good at piano. hobby is reading. good at making sweets.
Akane Hirose : Drummer, good at funny faces, She is a big eater. She loves anime. She has a lot of friends.
Misa : Bassist, stage drinks are liquor, play with bare feet. She is the most shy and reticent. good at cooking
Thank you for all of that. I appreciate it
Enjoy the deep dive into these Mr Gnome...all shades of rock, genius composition and they SLAY live (Instrumental masterpiece is 'Onset'...no kidding!!)
Any live song and all100+ songs are great thanks
Lovely reaction and insight. Band-Maid is very much a genre-bending band at times. At their core they're a rock/hard rock band. However, they have influences in pop-punk, blues, jazz, metal etc. and have songs that can cross all these genres. A few more Band-Maid suggestions.
slower rock ballad - Daydreaming
more metal - Rinne
Hard/Classic Rock - Dice/Domination
And for something really cool check out a song they did for April Fools blending in Traditional Japanese Instrumentation under their alternate name Band Maiko - Secret Maiko Lips
I appreciate all of that, thank you.
Biggest credit to miku, po!
All live are on their channel
This is an early track from Band Maid when their record company wanted a more pop punk / pop rock sound. Newer songs tend to lean more into the rock and metal styles than the earlier songs. Also, I'd highly recommend watching their live videos. Seeing them live take their music to a whole new level. Someone recommended Domination live (February 14th, 2020), and I second that.
welcome to the world of band maid, are you ready to hear more?
Alot more😜👍🤘🤘🤘!!!
I am ready lol
The good news is that they have dozens more just as good or better. You're in for a hell of a ride.
I'm looking forward to it
@@toxicgnome8445 Avoid 'Different' for a while...it's full-on, complex...like all their albums at once!!
Go on their channel and pick a song, any song! They are that good. By the way if you want another Japanese group try WAGAKKIBAND or NINGEN ISU.
i already have Wagakki Band written down so ill add the other for sure. thank you.
Great oberservation about their lyrics.
It is even more awesome, since as some japanese reactors pointed out as a japanese speaker some of those english lyrics can be heard as japanese words and they even make sense in the context
That is true and thank you. My father speaks 9 languages so I grew up around accents lol
This is my favorite BAND-MAID song.
[Grab a post-it now and paste to your desk - Miku (B/U and Rhythm,) Kaname (Lead) Akane (Drums) Misu (Bass) Saiki (Vocals)]
Putting it together...
Personally, I never could sing and play ha-ha
Their first actual song they wrote and recorded was "Alone".
Face palm! LOL
Try the latest song Different or for live songs, Play or Onset are great.
Bridear/Doll$boxx/aldious/ningen isu/asterism will blown your mind, talent is mind blowing.
We LOVE/LIKE ALL their songs lol thats why we dont recommend specific songs ;)
LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE BAND-MAID REACTIONS!(I havent had a need for other bands currently Band-maid is on loop!)
they do varying rock genres: pop rock, soft rock, rock ballads, punk rock, classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal.
Kanami(lead guitar) us responsible for the song writing in general. Akane(drums) and Misa(bass) add to what Kanami writes
you can thank Miku(back vocals/rhythm guitar/lyricist) for the Lyrics ;)
80s female rockers? Pat Benetar/Joan Jett
ps. if you want other japanese rock band suggestions can do that as well, nothing quite impresses me personally more since i've been listening to Band-Maid however. ;)
Super Beaver, One Ok Rock, L Arc En Ciel, Asian Kung Fu Generation, Ellegarden, UVERworld, Radwimps, Man With a Mission would be other suggestions. MEET ME SATURDAY is a pretty good cover band as well.
They've had plenty of music videos for 10 or 11 years now.
Nice catch on the lyrics. They are genius.
It's insanely genius how it's written. Absolutely love it.
They also make awesome music videos. Check out Blooming or Dice.
Especially their live music (don't worry about the official videos, they are if anything less subject to copyright issue (may get a claim, but usually no strikes.)
A lot of Japanese bands thrown in English with their Japanese songs, but Band-Maid is one of the best (if not THE best.) One Ok Rock is another band that mixes Japanese & English beautifully. Other bands that you have been missing from Japan (and Asia)
BABYMETAL : Incredible heavy metal band fronted by 3 Japanese girls and 4 of the best heavy metal musicians in Japan, maybe even the world (they started out when the girls were around 12/13 and have been playing together for over a decade now ... not at all what you might expect unless you're expecting super awesome metal of every sub genera played better than any other band specializing in those genres!)
One Ok Rock: Mentioned above.
Dismash would have won easily, but he dropped out from the $1M contest because he wanted the children to have an opportunity ... that may sound arrogant, but when you hear him you'll understand that was just the truth!)
Japan has a ton of great Heavy Metal bands, but I'm not that into Heavy Metal so others might be able to give oyu better advice in that area.
Welcome to the world of Band-Maid, IMO the world's greatest band!!
Freedom live please
I gave you 3 likes Rick & I'll add the link for "DOMINATION" for Toxic Gnome for good measure.
th-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/w-d-xo.html
Band-maid kick ass!
Many Japanese band and artists in Japan use English in their songs. Most times it’s a word or a small phrase. You can tell if they good at singing English if it’s a long song in English. Good examples Namie Amuro is Japanese artist who later albums has full songs in English. She is a R&B artist. You should check her stuff too
You should check out the Japanese band name Scandal. I can give you some suggestions and links for Scandal songs. I hope you do a react video for Scandal songs soon.
Lots of reactions to official live BM videos out there and rarely do they get taken down
All the lives are great but I would recommend Real Existence Live for pure high energy hard rock
That's good to know, thank you
These - WOMEN - are the the the best Rock Band on the planet at the moment ..... other than that good react :)
I know you'll be a Maidiac pretty soon! (muhahahaha!)
MISA MISA MISA!
I will Do that, thank you
Try Googling Jimmy Page and Akana, you may be surprised.
I like how you say you are going to quit stopping so often, then stop almost as soon as you start the video.
You're missing out on "Maximum the Hormone"
I will write it down. thank you
All Japanese bands combine Japanese and English in their songs.
I will sub if I see you for another BM reaction 😉
well keep your finger on that button cause more is to come for sure so ill just click DEAL even tho its already planned LOL
Where's the bass? WHere's MISA???
Ningen Izu
The Wagakki Band
I'll add them to the list , thank you
@@toxicgnome8445 th-cam.com/video/ponTbDDMYjw/w-d-xo.html A good place to start.
