He pled guilty to Federal charges. He admitted it was staged for views.

Just the fact that he pulled this stunt exactly 50 years to the day of DB Coopers heist is enough to confirm it was planned in advance.

I appreciate your analysis and perspective, good arguments. That he took measures to mitigate the impact of his crime does not mean he didn't commit a crime.

    • @Brian.Murray

Exactly. Quite the contrary. It indicates he was aware of the dangers and still proceeded. Which, to me, moves it from basic negligence to malice.

@@Brian.Murray Hi Brian, as from other people opinion, FAA acted as emergency to inhibit from fly ASAP. This cannot guarantee it can submit again to a new license due to ban. Just wait till report submitted to justice department and FAA again. About no explosion, camera are the fist priority, fuel finished or got dumped when at target to prevent fire?

The funny thing is he was never actually charged with the crash itself just technicalities after the fact. If he didn't lie to the investigators he probably would have only lost his pilot's license.

His plane crash video is demonetized. I cannot get ads to play on it. I also remember him talking about loosing the ad revenue right at the 1mil view mark in one of his since removed videos. If I'm correct, it was the video where he mailed off his license to the FAA.

As of today he's plead guilty to obstructing a federal investigation, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.

I would be shocked if he gets his faa certificates renewed. I think the suspension was just to buy time for other agencies to build cases against him.
I dont think the faa is a fan of content creators doing mad sht for views.

0:18 Should be in jail, why are people still debating guilt License revoked, no way he will get approved again. In April 2022. The FAA revoked his private pilot certificate and ruled that he will not be permitted to APPLY for a new certificate for one year, stating that "your flight … [was] careless or reckless so as to endanger life or property of another"

As a non-pilot it is absolutely suspect that he didnt even make any attempt to LAND THE PLANE BY GLIDING. He clearly had enough height to have options and though the ground doesnt seem to have a lot of landing spots ... it is a small and slow plane ... and those dont need miles of runway to land.
Conclusion: worst case scenario is that he is an absolutely TERRIBLE "NO SKILLZ" PILOT, but since he styles himself as an "action adventurer/thrillseeker" ... that doesnt seem too likely.

Lol he didn't even try to restart the plane, it literally just shuts off and he decides to bail out lol it's so fake I can't believe he can think anyone would ever believe otherwise.

He styles himself as "an action guy", "a thrillseeker" ... and as such THE NEXT THRILL has to be bigger than the last one to get the same adrenaline/dopamine response. This is the reason why news headlines get more and more outrageous too, because the news are seeking customers/viewers/readers that will not want to hear the same old stories again.
Vice is one such "ridiculous stories" media outlet in search for extreme stuff people will click on.

If they allow him to fly again ... the FAA is making a bad April Fools joke.
There are some things you should never "fool around with" ... planes, guns, dangerous chemicals, finances/banks ... and some people are too immature/outright evil to be allowed to use these.

Even though what he did was bad and all, I'm glad he never apologized. An apology on the internet is not like a real life one. In real life an apology can make a situation better. On the internet, its like dumping chum in the ocean and creating a swarm of sharks. It's seen as a sign of weakness and provokes more attacks. I think the best response when the internet is mad at you is to give them all a nice F you. Even if you're at fault.

    • @pazsion
      @pazsion ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you apologize…
It’s not weakness, only those who think like this are weak.
The internet is the most primal form of life… but not caring and having no love or respect for others will get you shredded.
You own your mistakes and do your best not to repeat them, if your their friends you try your best to remind them. 😂

Don’t talk to the cops huh? That’s the stupidest thing I have seen on TH-cam today. That’s fine. Please the fifth. Let the cop make assumptions and fill in the blanks himself. All that does if prolong the encounter. SAF advice

It's a certificate NOT a licence. There is no such thing s pilot's licence. There is a vast difference. This is not a ridiculous point if you understand the laws of interstate commerce and the reach of the Federal government. But who is going to go down that rabbit whole. Well i had friend who did an I was amazed at the results he had while our local FAA office. I'll leave it at that. Few pilots will challenge FAA, it's understandable. Just put these points in the back of your mind for future reference.
