Having a pair of reasonably priced (!!!!!!) M. Roulot scissors drop into your lap is proof that 1. karma exists and 2. the universe loves you. That's a beautiful pair too - they're all beautiful but those are particularly nice. Love your Vierlande start, I was busily stitching away on mine watching you today. Linen with a little more color in it was definitely the right choice, it balances the tones of the thread. Can't wait until we all reunite at Summer School, with our starts!
Bren is still in shock with the bargain he got with those scissors. I am stitching on the Vierlander watching the Tour De France. It’s all I want to stitch atm but tomorrow I have to get back to my model 🤦🏻♀️ Not long now until Summer School. We can’t wait Katie 🎉🎉

I love IKEA…we have one here in Switzerland and I often buy things like your stand, to use for displaying finished cross stitch …this stand would also work…a flat finish without having to professsionally frame it. And like you said, quite inexpensive!

Hello! Just found you all…wonderful. Do you know that if you get a drop of blood on your work that you can spit directly on the spot and your saliva has protein in it, and it will take out the stain. Just make sure you you then use a cotton rag, moisturize to dab it on spot after you have cleaned with sit and you should not have a problem. Sam
I'm glad you are both feeling better! I am also a huge TDF fan. Unfortunately this year NBC only showed Stage 1, 3-7 on regular "free" TV, but all the rest of the stages are on peacock which is their streaming service that you have to pay for! UGH! Man am I ticked off at NBC! Now I have to catch up by reading what happened. Looks like Vingegaard and Pogaear are in a tussle for the maillot jaune. How exciting you will see part of next year's race in person! My brother and his wife were in Paris 10 years ago during the tour. They just happen to be in Paris during the final stage and got to watch the race on the Champs-Elysees! My brother said he couldn't believe how fast those guys could pedal those bikes! He brought me back a tote bag which I have hanging on the wall. The next year of retreats and traveling sound fantastic for you both!
Oh Patty, I’m so sorry you can’t get to watch Le Tour for free. We have SBS here and get all the Tours for free. They also have a free tracker app so you can keep up to date if you are out. Unfortunately it recognises what country you are in and wont work outside of Australia. Yes, Vingegaard and Pogachar are neck and neck. I so want Tadej to win🤞🏻🤞🏻 How wonderful for your brother. I was late getting around to watching this episode. I normally like to see them right after they get uploaded to FB. This one was a really good one! I loved seeing the pup pups and all their antics. They are just like babies. I know they have got to be your two’s babies. I hope y’all do come to Gary and Ronnie’s retreat. I’m going to do my best to get a spot to go. Montgomery is a good one for me. I live in north Alabama and Montgomery is only 4/5 hrs south. I would love to meet you two. I do hope Karen’s surgery helps her knee. My Orthopedic Dr is on speed dial. Not really but you know what I mean. I’m having surgery in a couple of days on my left ankle. This will only be the 8th surgery that I have had to have on this leg. 🙇🏻♀️ I have quit a few projects kitted up that I can work on. Keep the floss tubes coming. I love them. If you come to Stitchin’ in the Wild in September make sure to bring your very lightest summer clothes. September in AL averages about 90degrees/F with about 90%humidity. You can literally wear the air. Plus you will come at the first of College and High School Football (American) - Roll Tide. Plus I know of several places you and Brennon would love to go in Alabama. Also when you come to Bama you can jump down to the Beach and go to one of the new stitch shop in the state. I am looking to buy a floor stand is their anyone you would recommend. Also can you tell me if you have a blue/green piece of fabric that would look good to stitch Blackbird Designs “Yellow Submarine” on?
We really hope we can make it to the retreat 🤞🏻🤞🏻The only floor stands we own are Lowry stands but to be honest, we don’t use a floor stand much. As for a good green of ours for Yellow Submarine, either Lyrebird Dell or Rivergum should make the yellow pop. Or if you want something a bit lighter, Eucalyptus ☺️

Another fantastic video with your precious fur babies, I’m going to source some Seaweed to stitch my PUB pattern, I’ve been putting it off because of the background stitching…. I want to ask you both how do you store your hand dyed fabrics? A lot of mine are in plastic bags, I have neutrals and colours but I’m at a loss on storage ideas ❤❤ Helen
Oh gosh Helen, this is the age old question - how to store fabric😵💫. Sadly I don’t know if the way we store it is best but we mostly keep our stitching fabric in large plastic tubs, out of the sunlight. We do also have the really large pieces, yards etc on shelves in the built in wardrobes in our spare room. I also have smaller pieces in zip bags too. Not sure if this helps. We wish we had a better answer for you.
You two are so fun to watch! I’m thinking about a Potoky mini stand but have a question. I’m a two handed stitcher. Does the stand sit still/steady when stitching with a hoop? Does it slide around? Thank you 🪡
The needles you were talking about for the 53ct, could you please write what they are? Just a bit hard to hear it. Is it possible to order from Attic if I live in Australia? If not do you know of anywhere else I could purchase them? Not happy with the needles I've been using on my 46ct. Love the Modern Folk Embroidery pattern 'Let The Hound And The Hare Go Chase', (part of the price includes a donation to a greyhound rescue program) so much I've stitched it twice. First I stitched the whole design then did the same section as Brendan's pillow but added the words and made it into a drum. Looks fabulous. I bred whippets for many years, adore the breed except, like peas, it's hard to have just one. If you want a great tour guide for Italy send me a message. My brother (Australian) has lived over there for years and, as a motoring journalist, knows a lot of little non tourist areas with great food and wine, not packed with people. Lives on Lake Como. Loves showing Aussies around, misses the unique humour of our country I think. 'Borrows' a cool car from one of the manufacturers to test 😉.

The Attic will ship to Australia but you could try calling Julie at The Crewel Gobelin in Killara and see if she has them. I’d be surprised if she doesn’t. I will definitely purchase that chart from MFE. At one time we had 4 whippets and an Italian Greyhound. We currently have a whippy and 2 iggies☺️We love the breed. One day we will adopt a greyhound as well. We would absolutely love any recommendations from your brother. I was late getting around to watching this episode. I normally like to see them right after they get uploaded to FB. This one was a really good one! I loved seeing the pup pups and all their antics. They are just like babies. I know they have got to be your two’s babies. I hope y’all do come to Gary and Ronnie’s retreat. I’m going to do my best to get a spot to go. Montgomery is a good one for me. I live in north Alabama and Montgomery is only 4/5 hrs south. I would love to meet you two. I do hope Karen’s surgery helps her knee. My Orthopedic Dr is on speed dial. Not really but you know what I mean. I’m having surgery in a couple of days on my left ankle. This will only be the 8th surgery that I have had to have on this leg. 🙇🏻♀️ I have quit a few projects kitted up that I can work on. Keep the floss tubes coming. I love them. Have a warm week ahead and happy stitching.

If you come to Stitchin’ in the Wild in September make sure to bring your very lightest summer clothes. September in AL averages about 90degrees/F with about 90%humidity. You can literally wear the air. Plus you will come at the first of College and High School Football (American) - Roll Tide. Plus I know of several places you and Brennon would love to go in Alabama. Also when you come to Bama you can jump down to the Beach and go to one of the new stitch shop in the state.

Also can you tell me if you have a blue/green piece of fabric that would look good to stitch Blackbird Designs “Yellow Submarine” on?
We really hope we can make it to the retreat 🤞🏻🤞🏻The only floor stands we own are Lowry stands but to be honest, we don’t use a floor stand much.
As for a good green of ours for Yellow Submarine, either Lyrebird Dell or Rivergum should make the yellow pop. Or if you want something a bit lighter, Eucalyptus ☺️

I want to ask you both how do you store your hand dyed fabrics? A lot of mine are in plastic bags, I have neutrals and colours but I’m at a loss on storage ideas ❤❤ Helen
Oh gosh Helen, this is the age old question - how to store fabric😵💫. Sadly I don’t know if the way we store it is best but we mostly keep our stitching fabric in large plastic tubs, out of the sunlight. We do also have the really large pieces, yards etc on shelves in the built in wardrobes in our spare room. I also have smaller pieces in zip bags too. Not sure if this helps. We wish we had a better answer for you.
You two are so fun to watch! I’m thinking about a Potoky mini stand but have a question. I’m a two handed stitcher. Does the stand sit still/steady when stitching with a hoop? Does it slide around? Thank you 🪡
We haven’t tried a hoop, only a snap. Will try today and let you know☺️

It is a Hardwicke Manor hoop☺️ They are a little on the expensive side but are well worth it. We hope this helps .

The needles you were talking about for the 53ct, could you please write what they are? Just a bit hard to hear it. Is it possible to order from Attic if I live in Australia? If not do you know of anywhere else I could purchase them? Not happy with the needles I've been using on my 46ct.
Love the Modern Folk Embroidery pattern 'Let The Hound And The Hare Go Chase', (part of the price includes a donation to a greyhound rescue program) so much I've stitched it twice. First I stitched the whole design then did the same section as Brendan's pillow but added the words and made it into a drum. Looks fabulous. I bred whippets for many years, adore the breed except, like peas, it's hard to have just one.
If you want a great tour guide for Italy send me a message. My brother (Australian) has lived over there for years and, as a motoring journalist, knows a lot of little non tourist areas with great food and wine, not packed with people. Lives on Lake Como. Loves showing Aussies around, misses the unique humour of our country I think. 'Borrows' a cool car from one of the manufacturers to test 😉.

I think the needles The Attic sell are Size 10 Tapestry point beading needles. The Attic will ship to Australia but you could try calling Julie at The Crewel Gobelin in Killara and see if she has them. I’d be surprised if she doesn’t.
I will definitely purchase that chart from MFE. At one time we had 4 whippets and an Italian Greyhound. We currently have a whippy and 2 iggies☺️We love the breed. One day we will adopt a greyhound as well.
