"Wonder how much this jacket costs" - me, having flashbacks to Jimins 18,000$ jacket on the floor and Namjoon's 'expensive' bag ruined by cake - "Believe me, you don't wanna know."
@@INF1NIT3SIN basically ya 🤣 but the thing is that Jimin was wearing it at an award show, and while they where waiting for the announcements he put it on J-Hopes lap who just yeeted it to the floor like 'wtf am I supposed to do with that crap' 😂 and they literally droped an entire cake on Namjoon's bag once, ripped really expensive pants and other costumes more than once, Jimin just casually put his feet on Namjoon's 28,000$ handcrafted coffee table... They are literally pure chaos sometimes 🤣🤣🤣
when you're sincere and open-minded and just generally a nice person, army will shower you with love because that's what bts promotes, spreading love around :)))) I do hope we don't scare you though with the amount of passion and info. we can be too much sometimes because we feel strongly about the boys, but please let us know if you ever needed time to breathe :) getting into bts is quite a journey that we'd like you to experience as organically as possible to fully feel the joy that bts brings
i quite comment above the same thing Mai...., we're too much some times, but it's only because of the hardship these boys went through and army was there to support them always!
This is my take on the song seeing BTS as performers. In their documentaries/vids you’ll see them perform on the verge of collapse and fainting. A lot of them have chronic injuries you’d only see in people twice their age, like muscle seizures, neck, knee and back pain etc… but you would never be able to tell once they’re onstage. So when they say “Bring the pain on” they literally mean it. On this album they mentioned they wanted to be more raw and honest with their fans so while its nice being the biggest & most in-demand group in the world, there’s also the pressure and burden that comes along with it. A lot of singers succumb to it as you see with a lot of tragic stories in history. They even said they thought about disbanding at the height of their career (late 2018) but decided to stick together for their fans. So when they say “find me and im gonna live with ya” they’re talking about making the choice to accept that weight, the love and the hate, the shadows, the pain, the literal blood, sweat and tears it takes to prove themselves on stage every day. p.s- even the 1st line “I can’t understand what people are saying” is blatantly honest because you will see these boys having to promote and network in a foreign country with a language that is not their 1st… on youtube you can see it makes for some funny times.. but I bet it’s confusing, disconcerting and scary for the most part. You got some deep thoughts though- very open-minded too. You're doing great
you know...i saw a vid last night that they have to do their military service and there's a possibility that they could not be a "whole" group for some years. I was very disappointed by this info, but I learned a lot just by watching that...kicked myself for not recording it.
@@INF1NIT3SIN no problem, if you will want, you'll have a plenty of videos to which you will able to react and record it. just try not to fall into that rabbit hole too deep, if you have some work to do. because I found them 10 months ago and... I mean, I'm 42 years old, I edit now one book and with one eye watch your videos, because I myself not long ago was so surprised by this group, also didn't know anything about k-pop, and it is so nice to find intelligent people as yourself who probably start the same journey which I did and still doing. what I want to say - I'm late to edit that book, so BTS fascinated me too much. They even have a song about this problem, "Pied Piper", maybe before you fall into them too much, you should listen to it and check the lyrics ;) but. if you will spend with bts some of your time, they will definitely make you a more happy person than you already are. It is an inevitable side effect for every good person who gets interested in BTS ;)
@@INF1NIT3SIN There's a possibility that they go to their military commitment all at once, together. That's not the way most guy groups do it, but BTS is always a bit different.
@@blueguitarbob whilst we would like that, realistically it just isn't possible. TXT is not ready to carry Bighit even for two years and the newbies debuting soon most definitely isn't ready. For that reason alone BTS will probably stick to their enlisting schedule.
i just wanna say that i really appreciate that you’re pausing and rewinding often! some reactors try not to because it makes their videos longer but we like seeing reactions to the whole thing: the music, the video, the lyrics. if that’s what helps a reactor to grasp everything better, i’d rather watch a longer video of someone really trying to understand and appreciate what’s going on than a quick video with little reaction. so thank you & don’t feel bad for it!
Hey, of course I don't know what is going on your life, but there is a saying that YOU don't find BTS.....BTS finds YOU. You know, we are all somehow connected through the universe. Fun fact, most this MV was shot with a drone. The operator is a masterfully skilled.
ABOUT THAT CHOREOGRAPHY... Because BTS are a group of young geniuses, they like to work with other young geniuses. Did you notice the young woman front and center at the very beginning? She is 19 year-old Sienna Lalau, and she is the person who choreographed this performance. The other dancers are part of her award-winning hip hop crew The Lab, from Los Angeles. This is the THIRD performance she choreographed for BTS. At age 18 she created the prop choreography for 'Dionysus', one their most iconic stage productions ever. She also did choreo for J-Hope's solo song 'Chicken Noodle Soup'. You are totally correct about the theme of this song. In their new album series, this song comes after they learned to integrate the shadow that was still 'doing its own thang' in Black Swan, causing problems. The band they hired for the studio recording were the UCLA Bruins marching and jazz bands, and the one in the video is the Blue Devils bugle corps.
Sienna Lalau...Dance, Genius Queen and Amazing Choreograph:) She is Best in the Best:) I'm very happy, that She wanted to work withe BTS:) Dionyssus and ON...unique choreo... BTS and ARMY...We Are Family:) Always:) We Love BTS...Forever:)
The Shadow is the internal force that holds us back while also supporting us. It's part of the theory of Dr Carl Jung, including Persona, Shadow and Ego. That's what this album and the previous album are about: recognizing what we are made of, reconciling what we are made of, what we present to the world and who we really are. Their lyrics are usually deep, or as RM (the team leader once described them) 'socially significant'. Black Swan, which you already watched, presents this theme as well. You might consider watching the three videos Persona, Shadow and Ego, with subtitles on.
To understand Army’s love of BTS you have to watch who is BTS the seven members, nobodies to legends, and BTS crash course. They will show you who each member is the struggles the band went through and the relationship they have with Army.
first, i just wanna say i really like how genuine you are. most of us fans are happy to hear your thoughts and watch your reactions no matter how you structure it, just do you! there are some really young and/or immature fans though, but please don't let them discourage you. thank you for looking at all aspects of bts' videos: lyrics, outfits, location, choreo, cinematography, special fx, etc. we're all very passionate about those things too and i love that you're appreciating them so much. secondly, i personally am okay with you watching the visuals first and then going back to check the lyrics. a lot of us don't speak a word of korean either and we learn what the songs' messages are through translations. (i also relate to your anime metaphor haha i definitely do that when watching anime.) lastly, keep doing whatever you like! it's your channel, i wouldn't expect you to just turn into a bts reaction channel. i'm happy to watch your journey with bts. you've earned another subscriber :) (p.s. it would be a good idea to mention what genre of music you tend to listen to and the fans will definitely streamline their suggestions of bts songs to your taste :) it's a nice way to get to know their music more!)
I enjoy anything with an alternative vibe but I literally will listen to almost anything and like it....i mean that with all honesty...i just love music.
Bighit, their label, was started with a goal and a purpose. They wanted to change the game in K-Pop, and they have succeeded. Ironically, changing the game meant returning to K-Pop's roots as socially progressive protest music. In the beginning there was Seo Tai-ji and Boys. They 'invented' K-Pop, and it was edgy, controversial and political. They were even banned for a minute. Then Kpop became a commodity - packaged, reproduced, mass marketed, formulated. A group called Bigbang came along and re-infused the scene with more innovation and edginess. They are still massively popular, despite losing a member to one of the biggest scandals in Korean entertainment history. Now BTS is subverting the paradigm. They're doing such a good job of bringing controversy and social issues back that Seo Tai-ji (pronounced "sah teh jee"), the founding father of K-pop, officially passed the torch to them during his 25th anniversary show. Imagine Metallica crowning a new metal king and letting them add a new guitar solo to 'Enter Sandman'. Seo Tai-ji brought BTS on stage and let them add verses to some of his most iconic songs. th-cam.com/video/4lOP1mXLf8o/w-d-xo.html If you watch this clip of BTS with Seo Tai-ji performing 'Classroom Idea', you'll get a good idea of what K-Pop really is. BTS and Kpop as a whole are so much more than boy and girl groups. People who don't know what the song is about complained because the costumes appear to be "nazi cosplay". This TH-camr added translations, and explains how it is just the opposite. It's gonna blow your mind, and I think give you a deep appreciation for BTS on a level most of their American fans don't even have.
This is a fantastic explanation. Very educated. But the pronunciation of Seo Taiji is not necessarily that. As a linguistic major who understands how to read APA, the phonetic alphabet, the Korean alphabet is different but with the same concept. It's difficult for me to explain with simple letters. If you and everyone knew APA, it would be easy to show you and explain LOL. But sah and teh are not exactly correct pronunciations.
Luscious Angel yes, you are correct. In reality there are no equivalents because English vowels and Korean vowels are sort of halfway between each other. The sound made by 어 isn’t “ah” or “oh” but in between them. This is also true with the consonants. For example the sound for letter ㄱ is sort of “in between” English k and g. That’s the best way I can describe it. But instead of writing another two paragraphs, I just offered an easy option. A brief side note about why Tai-ji is spelled in English with ‘ai’ and not “correctly” with ‘ae’. The Korean government changed the romanization rules in 2000. If a birth certificate/passport/etc displays a romanized spelling from the old system, it doesn't change. That’s why the name ‘태지’ isn’t spelled ‘Tae-ji’ and why ‘정국’ is spelled Jungkook instead of the “correct” ‘Jeong-kook’ in English. Taiji and Jungkook used to be the correct way to romanize their names. To prevent confusion with identity, romanized names are not allowed to be changed. People can still use the old system for names, but once they pick a Roman spelling, they have to keep it. So we will still see Young instead of Yeong sometimes, and Lee or Li instead even though the name is just I.
@@JoobieLoobieSoobie That's great to know. I love knowing things about language in general 😊. But, it's nice to finally know the reason behind the change of the spelling. It's always in the etymology and morphology.
btw i feel happy that we can help u reach some views.. i really hope u find happiness with BTS thou.. that's their purposes in life, to help ppl find their own happiness..
BTS will for sure give you views as you probably are finding out in a big way. Sending a shout out to giving a new genre a chance and to just ask you to stay genuine. Lots of people discover BTS and are not real fans but the views push them into reacting disingenuously. We will know. I hope you continue to enjoy the boys and their hard work as their music portfolio is very diverse and their work ethic is one that is not seen much these days. As you saw, Army is in fact an army and we are not just the little teen age girls who swoon over their adorableness, (I am an older woman who swoons over their adorableness, lol) many are older men and women, seniors, as well as every nationality in the world. We will be there for you as much as you need as long as you keep true and keep it real.
Thank you for being polite as most people aren't. It's okay if there are things you don't like. Don't be afraid to voice it out. It's fine as long as it's just an opinion. Thank you for checking out BTS 💜💜💜💜
I'm sorry, but this is driving me crazy. The Blue Devils is a Drum and Bugle Corp, not a marching band. Yes, they are headquartered in Concord, California, and yes, they march, but there is a huge difference between a marching band and a D&B Corps. A band using all sorts of instruments and is affiliated with a school/college. A D&B Corps uses only drums, brass instruments, and color guard components. And they are entertainers who actually tour. They have a "season" where the travel around and perform and compete. It's more like the NFL or NBA of marching than just a "band." Their members are sort of affiliated with UCLA in that many of them went to school there, but the Corps itself is a separate entity.
@@rohanamohd8379 Haha. No problem. It's not you. The idea is everywhere, in every article. I know of some of the confusion is because the UCLA marching band was involved in the recording (if I'm remembering correctly). But those folks on the field w/BTS were The Blue Devils (and The Lab, of course). Sorry. I was a HUGE D&B Corps fan back in my high school days, so I'm sort of biased. (And I was in my HS marching band too. :-))
@@aroundtheworldvideo6570 thank you for clarifying this. My brother was a drill writer on DCI for years. Worked with them, PHantom Regiment, and Cadets. Nobody like Blue Devils.
You deserve all the support we're giving you. Any open-minded individual who gives our guys a chance, is welcomed with open arms by A.R.M.Y.! Can't wait to catch up with your videos.
ARMY is not insane or obsessed. We are PASSIONATE. The more you watch and learn the more you will get the WHY! BTS has a message which is complex, meaningful, detailed, thoughtful and they give us everything we could ask for. Their generosity is incredible. Happy to see u getting a kick out of us (ARMY). LoL We are all genders, ages, nationalities, with just 7 things in common: RM, Jin, Suga, JHope, Jimin, TaeHyung, and JungKook. U nice...keep going!
Love your reactions really~!!!!!!! I just get excited seeing you enjoy their music and trying to understand the lyrics. If you react with honesty, curiosity, and respect to BTS, you will get so much respect and following in return. Thank you for being interested in our 7 wonderful men. I have enjoyed watching your reactions! You will find with time that they are truly humble and incredible artists. Their lyrics will really touch you and make you think.
I find it interesting that you noticed the "Find me and I’m gonna bleed with ya" line. I think it represents the unique bond that BTS share with ARMY. Just as we are so protective of the boys, they are protective of us. They are essentially telling us that they will be with us no matter what. I’m glad that you are taking the time to analyze the lyrics, not many people do.
I'm a huge marching band nerd so this song made me so happy. Basically the instruments in this song were recorded by the UCLA marching band which is so awesome to let college students work on such a big track that could possibly win them awards. Also the band in the video is the Blue Devils Drum Corp. Drum Corps are professional marching bands that you can join at 16 and compete all around the country until the championship which is held in my home state of Indiana. I did a program for 2 years in middle school where I got to perform the opening for the competition so to now see these worlds mix and bringing awareness to Drum Corps is so amazing.
In this Map of the soul 7 album, one of the themes is Carl Jungs theories and there shadow is your fears and the sides of you that you dont notice or that you surpress, are embarrassed about. In black swan the shadow was their fear of loosing passion for music. They have a Suga solo in the album, called Shadow, that is all about the shadow in him, its a great song! And yes, remember to do you, its your channel, keep on your other videos also 👍🏻
The reason this song has such a great meaning is because they HAVE been through it. They were treated like trash their whole careers and they know what that “pain” they keep mentioning is like. But they’ve overcome that. And it’s because they’ve overcome all the mistreatment and hate that they can now stand tall and say, “Bring it on. Bring the pain. It has no power over me anymore.” They now use it as fuel and as motivation to prove their haters wrong and to set an example for all their fans. They’ve shown that you can truly become stronger from hardships and suffering. Which is what they want to share with the world. This song is one of victory over a war they’ve already won. There’s no stopping them now.
I am so happy. Where were you hiding? 99% of kpop reactors are fake; do not care about anything analytical, technical, symbolic etc., Thank you. Kpop artists dance amazing choreography while singing live. It is why I appreciate & love kpop.
Finally, a good use for drones. Their agency, producers, camera guys, etc. blow my mind every time. The sound engineers, background vocals, instruments (including marching band) were by UCLA Music Dept and it's director. I may have some of that mixed up, but there is a commentary, more like a short documentary, about the their working with BTS. The choreographer is 19 years old (middle position, opening scene). How do they find all this talent? Why aren't I 17 and agile?
So this song is the lead single off their new album Map of the Soul 7 its already sold over 5 million physical albums over 4 million were pre ordered before we heard anything. This song and the album is about the struggle they went through to get to where they are now and how they have resolved the negatives and want to carry on pushing through and BTS have struggled to get where they are. I recommend you watch BTS from Nobodies to Legends either 1 or 2 will give you some idea of where they come from. Their stage outifts are expensive as Jimin tore his pants from dancing so hard in this Mv and apparently they cost around $5800 at that price they should hold together better lol. The guys themselves are very humble and dress just like you or me in real life except maybe better brand names. Some of them spend a bit more on clothes some less its all about dressing in their own style and they all have a different style. They unlike most K-pop artists write or have a hand in producing almost all their songs. Their company encouraged them from the start to tell their own stories about things that impact them and to begin with people didnt like it but the K- ARMY (their Korean fans) supported them and promoted them through social media etc so we in the west I-ARMY were able to find them and enjoy their music. The demographic of fans is amazing 25% are male 75% female. Of the 75% of that number the biggest group are the 40 to 49 yr olds and i fall into the smallest group the 50+ age group. Their message and deep lyrics are what attract most BTS fans as even when a song seems to be a love song it normally is about a deeper meaning . They promote self love and self acceptance and also try to help people with issues such as mental health and the pressure from school and studying etc.
one of the things that draws armies in is when they start to learn each members personalities, and hoe they continue to grow as people and artist but are still able to stay so humble and down to earth
I like honest reactions from first timers. BTS does that thing to you. With their visuals, music, lyrics, concept, and personality bring you in and make you their own. Soon you'll be calling yourself BTS ARMY.
Yeah they protest against bullying. They are a major sponsor for UNICEF. In fact BTS did a speech at the united nations last year. You should look it up.
Usually it's the reactor stopping the vid to say something, but I keep stopping the video to leave you a comment. It is so refreshing to find a sincere, intelligent & humble person reacting to a band that I love because they help me get through stuff. Most kpop reactors now are sub par. You're not. Please stay that way. & thank you.
The last three videos were made in LA. The LA theater is an historical landmark in LA that's been used in other movie sets. The set for this was a water project site in LA and the 'ON' MV is also in LA... There are behind the scenes videos for each one on TH-cam. Plus a short documentary on this about the use of the UCLA marching band and more ('Dialogue). Enjoy.
I am just loving the fact the more and more people are getting to know them 💜 and thats because their hardwork, talent and ARMY 💜 i love the fact that ARMYs are showing love to everybody who is sincerely interested in Bts💜
SAME!! As someone who has watched a lot of anime, it really wasn´t difficult getting into k-pop. I always feel kinda at an advantage when I see others reacting to k-pop for the first time and they are not able to do both at the same time.
These guys are extremely genuine. Yes, they tend to conceal their pain and insecurities, but they don’t deny they exist. They let their personalities shine through. They’re not playing roles. They are just themselves.
I really appreciate your genuine reactions. Shadow represents the bad side of oneself incase you’re still confused. So the two worlds they’re talking about here is the face they show outside(persona) as well as their true self which has a dark side in them(shadow).
13:34 that’s a really good question and one that BTS focuses on a lot, asks themselves a lot, and has written about a lot. I honestly can’t answer off the top of my head, but if you actually end up wanting to learn more about them and go down that path of a fan (which you don’t have to) you will probably see how they feel about it. Also for what you said at 16:38 there is a behind the scene video of them shooting this that will probably answer your question ;)
One cool thing is that many BTS fans (Armys) are inspired to start dancing due to BTS. Many get together to learn BTS's choreos and hold events where people just get together and dance to different songs in one big dance circle. I already have been dancing (hip hop, ballet, modern) for about 10 years before I found BTS and it's really fun to learn their choreos, especially in this time of isolation :)
Thank you for your geniue response. 48 year old Army here. I love the that they are so everything. They have so many music genre in their bag and you can find songs for any mood you're in. I love their message of self love and be who you are. Don't be affraid. Be you. If BTS can be themselves in front of millions, so can you
I love how a lot of men are starting to react to BTS and always say how damn nervous and unsure they are in the beginning... and then they get swept away by the boys and ARMY and they get that giddy gleam and just. Spread love guys. Always ♥
"They do both, y'know they don't put up with the bs and they kinda do their own thing-" Me: *flashbacks to Jungkook and Jin dying their own hair without permission and the 2018 festa party*
Great reaction! I really appreciate your attention to detail and lyric analysis. You’re definitely one of the best reactors I’ve found - there are some good ones but a lot of them just endlessly praise the vids without actually talking ABOUT the music video or it’s contents. In contrast, I felt like you actually gave a great analysis on what was going on while still putting in your spontaneous thoughts/impressions. I’ve subscribed :) Btw, here’s one of my fave live performances from them if you wanted to check out a live show. Their music vids are cool but they shine when live too! This is their song Dionysus from the 2020 Golden Disk Awards: th-cam.com/video/midSq_-5iLA/w-d-xo.html
You are watching the reason why they are so big. They are not afraid to venture into new territory. Watch their documentary on making of ON. They collaborate with Gospel choirs to create the soulful sounds in the background. They work with people who are knowledgeable and experienced in this type of music down south.
The Shadow is all they being thru to get where they are at and still they will go thru Shadow, but now they are says bring the pain, the haters, the suffering and no matter what they will continue singing, composing, dancing and nobody are going to stop them.
OMG, i just love how people outside of the ARMY (BTS fandom's name) always get the meaning of the lyrics just spot on with the thories we spend days and days trying to understand
ON shows their feelings from the start until they achieved their dream. Bookish Theories has many videos that explain things about a lot of kpop videos, so it's really helpful for me 😁💖💜
We love these boys because they are 100% genuine. The love they have for ARMY is also genuine and very mutual. Because of this, we fight for their success as much as we do. It’s amazing to see how far they’ve come and how they are still so humble. I’m glad you are so kind to them because they are one of the best groups in the world. Also, most ARMY have figured out, you don’t need to understand what they sing in order to FEEL what they sing, once you’ve felt some of their songs, you’ll never feel the same about them. Looking forward to your journey.
"ON," according to the group, is a reflection of the group's 2013 single, "N.O, they used marching band and some talented amazing dancers from LA LAB'S. Jimin, Jungkook, and Jin talk about living with both their past selves and their current selves. While they might still have reservations about the future, likely due to the fact that anything can change overnight, they still are determined to fight for their success and put everything on the line. "Having woken from sleep and opened my eyes, I wonder where "here" is / Perhaps Seoul, or New York or Paris / Having gotten up, my body sways." While BTS are now in their 20s and no longer necessarily feeling the weight of academic pressure or that of the adults in charge on their shoulders, they describe a foe that, in many ways, is much more threatening: themselves. In these first lines of "ON," the group acknowledges being wrapped up in the glamour of waking up "in Seoul, or New York or Paris," and that with every leap they take to rise higher in recognition, the demons follow ("When I lift one foot, the shadow grows one step larger"). Fans might recall a poem Suga wrote in a 2018 episode of the band's reality series, Run BTS!, that reads: "It is true that the more light that burns upon us, the more shadows appear."
They used UCLA Marching band. Also used a dance team called The Lab. They had a lot of haters and have been through a lot. Now they pretty much are saying "Hey bring it on, We got this!" The shadow is the dark side of yourself. They're accepting all sides of themselves and working with it.
I saw your reactions to BTS and you seem honest, you appreciate their talent. BTS has an ARMY of more than 20 million; you will surely get a lot of subscribers!💜
10:57 find me and I'm gonna bleed with you. BTS inspires us and gives us motivations through their music. Their bond between the entire band and their fans is just like that. They bleed with us, we bleed with them. When we are in pain and no one's there to comfort us, we only have to look for them and we'll find comfort we need (find me and I'm gonna bleed with you). They experienced a lot of difficulties before reaching the limelight they have right now, yet they remained the same BTS who loved the ARMYs from the beggining of their journey.
Drones were used for the shots that you were talking about. This, Black Swan MV, and ON official MV were all filmed in LA. The Blue Devils Drum Corps and UCLA marching band were used. You should watch the making of video. Very interesting.
BTS has a huge range of music genres in their discography, and that's part of why they are so famous. Their music really can be appealing to many different people (as well as their lyrics) To give an example, I suggest you check their tracks Mic Drop (which is heavy hip hop based) and Singularity (which has jazz influences), and they have many more in between! Their music versatility is really amazing!
They have a song called Shadow. It is the introduction to this album. This album is their journey to accept their shadows, which refers to the dark sides of oneself.
Hello I'm Cathy from DownUnder Australia!! Been a BTS fan since Jan2018 watching MICDROP REMIX was all it took. My daughter who is 26 now got me into them. My life has never been the same since. Their music and talent moves me like I'm still living my clubbin 90s hip hop and RnB days. Haha, I'm 55 now and I have a little obsession to watching reactors wanting to get to know BTS so as JIMIN would say "YOU'RE NICE KEEP GOING"!! Thank you xx
We like it when people pause and take the time to understand what they’re saying. Realized myself I hadn’t really absorbed JHope’s verse and now I think it’s my favourite. :D
This is such a refreshing review of BTS. I feel like people just take them at face value and aren't willing to delve deeper into what they're about. Their lyrics, their message, their passion for their music and the way they use it to spread a message and bring people together. Thank you for taking the time to take a deeper look into who BTS are and why they do what they do and what it's all about.
BTS have been through hell and back together. I suggest watching BTS:From Nobodies to Legends 2019 version. They were treated horribly by the K-pop industry and by other K-pop fans (who treated ARMYs, the BTS fandom horribly too), just because they were poor and from a small, unknown label. Now, BTS is seen more as its own genre rather than K-pop, because while they do K-pop, they have a unique sound and have experimented with so many genres and styles that simply cannot be categorized into just K-pop. Plus, BTS' lyricism and storyline took a path pretty much unknown in K-pop. When they sing about bringing the pain on, they're saying they don't care about what they have to face anymore. It's been 7 years of struggling and they can take it now. They accept all the troubles that arise because they've got people who love them, and a job they love. They're calling pain to find them so they can bleed, and rise up further, as they've always done.
13:15 their 2 recent albums (map of the soul: persona & 7) cover that topic thoroughly. the song Persona is about the image that they are trying to uphold and how to know who you are within that. Shadow is about the darkness that they feel they have to hide behind the image, but not letting it overcome you (this also relates to the Black Swan music video). Ego and ON are about embracing both sides ("I throw myself into both worlds"), and being themselves as well as maintaining their image, but also making their image match who they really are.
The “find me and I’m gonna live with you/ bleed with you” part, what I think it means is they’re calling all the hardships and struggles to come at them cuz they’ll deal with them/ they can take them on.
You definitely have potential to be a army theorist 😅 it's their lyrics that mostly made me love them, penned by the members themselves , so really authentic , listen to beside tracks from old albums as well , you will be amazed
I reaaally like your sincerity and the way you tried to get the message behind :) Actually i would recommend to watch the BTS ‘ON’ Commentary Film: Dialogue. My gut feeling tells me that you will like it ^^
"I'd pull something" "To old for that shit" 😂😂😂 MEEEEEEE vibes so hard. Thank you for being so receptive to trying to learn and understand BTS and ARMY. We purple you!
It hypes my so much that you GET IT as you're watching the video and reading the lyrics. You're understanding who they are from their music and it warms my heart. I'm 30 years old and have been ARMY since BTS' debut in 2013. I'm not some teeny-bopper who loves them for their faces or becaause I fantasize about dating them. IT's 100% their music and their energy. You're absolutely understanding it and catching on so quickly as to why we all adore them and we'll give you our support!!
It’s so refreshing to see someone breaking down their lyrics, BTS always express how important their lyrics are, they write their own lyrics btw!
@Anthony Judah yup, been watching on flixzone for months myself =)
"This video just made me wish I could dance"...said every single BTS stan after first finding them.
Still a year later 😔
And me, after 7 years. It doesn't matter how much I try, I still can dance like them.
Then we all learned the choreography
Then attempted the choreography
Thought we could dance
*we can’t*
Tanya Val omg are you an army for 7 years now?
And made some of us that thought we could dance, realize we really can’t. 😎
"Wonder how much this jacket costs"
- me, having flashbacks to Jimins 18,000$ jacket on the floor and Namjoon's 'expensive' bag ruined by cake -
"Believe me, you don't wanna know."
Kyana, 18,000 ! not 1800.
@@jtd5849 my bad forgot one zero 😂 gonna change it real quick
I think the jacket was 19000 dollars tho.
So basically "too expensive to be wearing" lol
@@INF1NIT3SIN basically ya 🤣 but the thing is that Jimin was wearing it at an award show, and while they where waiting for the announcements he put it on J-Hopes lap who just yeeted it to the floor like 'wtf am I supposed to do with that crap' 😂
and they literally droped an entire cake on Namjoon's bag once, ripped really expensive pants and other costumes more than once, Jimin just casually put his feet on Namjoon's 28,000$ handcrafted coffee table...
Rolling into the third hour of reading comments and not planning on stopping....the comments are giving me so much insight
i quite comment above the same thing Mai...., we're too much some times, but it's only because of the hardship these boys went through and army was there to support them always!
Mai Tran I couldn’t agree more! Nicely put.
This is what bts teaches me, teaches us to share, love, support each other
Aww that is so sweet of you!
They even have a song about this problem, "Pied Piper", maybe before you fall into them too much, you should listen to it and check the lyrics ;)
but. if you will spend with bts some of your time, they will definitely make you a more happy person than you already are. It is an inevitable side effect for every good person who gets interested in BTS ;)
@@INF1NIT3SIN There's a possibility that they go to their military commitment all at once, together. That's not the way most guy groups do it, but BTS is always a bit different.
Your comment is simply perfect
@@blueguitarbob whilst we would like that, realistically it just isn't possible. TXT is not ready to carry Bighit even for two years and the newbies debuting soon most definitely isn't ready. For that reason alone BTS will probably stick to their enlisting schedule.
BTS ARMY can spot a fake reactor a mile away and you sir have our respect. You are appreciated.
YES!!!!
trueee
thanks again! ♡
Agree, I have seen several of his react on BTS already. At least he is honest to himself.
I would argue, since many fake reactors ou there have over 50k views and more likes than dislikes:)
I really apreciate when someone want to focus on the lyrics because they gave a good message, thanks.
Yes, we Armys will show you with love because we love BTS so, so, so, much. Thank you so much for your amazing comments.
i just wanna say that i really appreciate that you’re pausing and rewinding often! some reactors try not to because it makes their videos longer but we like seeing reactions to the whole thing: the music, the video, the lyrics. if that’s what helps a reactor to grasp everything better, i’d rather watch a longer video of someone really trying to understand and appreciate what’s going on than a quick video with little reaction. so thank you & don’t feel bad for it!
Hey, of course I don't know what is going on your life, but there is a saying that
YOU don't find BTS.....BTS finds YOU.
Jill Sanders feeling emotional that you shouted out this queen 💞
Sienna Lalau...Dance, Genius Queen and Amazing Choreograph:)
She is Best in the Best:)
I'm very happy, that She wanted to work withe BTS:)
Dionyssus and ON...unique choreo...
BTS and ARMY...We Are Family:)
Always:)
We Love BTS...Forever:)
We love that you go back to focus on the lyrics. Don't worry, no body is bothered. We love to know what you think.
You might consider watching the three videos Persona, Shadow and Ego, with subtitles on.
and ppl still think we're 12 year olds who JUST gush over their handsomeness 😂
@@eyemah
I mean their handsomeness isn’t to be scoffed at 🙃
To understand Army’s love of BTS you have to watch who is BTS the seven members, nobodies to legends, and BTS crash course. They will show you who each member is the struggles the band went through and the relationship they have with Army.
And BTS Hardships
Ra Nia Amongst those videos, this one was the one that got me all in tears.
I agree, even though BTS are now world wide they remain humble and absolutely adore their fans.
first, i just wanna say i really like how genuine you are. most of us fans are happy to hear your thoughts and watch your reactions no matter how you structure it, just do you! there are some really young and/or immature fans though, but please don't let them discourage you. thank you for looking at all aspects of bts' videos: lyrics, outfits, location, choreo, cinematography, special fx, etc. we're all very passionate about those things too and i love that you're appreciating them so much.
secondly, i personally am okay with you watching the visuals first and then going back to check the lyrics. a lot of us don't speak a word of korean either and we learn what the songs' messages are through translations. (i also relate to your anime metaphor haha i definitely do that when watching anime.)
lastly, keep doing whatever you like! it's your channel, i wouldn't expect you to just turn into a bts reaction channel. i'm happy to watch your journey with bts. you've earned another subscriber :)
(p.s. it would be a good idea to mention what genre of music you tend to listen to and the fans will definitely streamline their suggestions of bts songs to your taste :) it's a nice way to get to know their music more!)
I enjoy anything with an alternative vibe but I literally will listen to almost anything and like it....i mean that with all honesty...i just love music.
I agree, he's cute as a button as far as his politeness. He is easy to look at, as well 😉
Bighit, their label, was started with a goal and a purpose.
This is amazing I was gonna comment something similar till I saw your and knew there was no way I could explain it as greatly as you did.
Bigbang ? havent u know super junior they are also as legend as bigbang dont even try to forget the kings
btw i feel happy that we can help u reach some views.. i really hope u find happiness with BTS thou.. that's their purposes in life, to help ppl find their own happiness..
The band is actually performed by UCLA marching band The Blue Devil.
@@aroundtheworldvideo6570
Sorry my bad. 😔
Nobody like Blue Devils.

pause, rewind, talk yourself through it, take all the time you need to analyze and appreciate the video! im telling you Army loves that shit XD
ARMY is not insane or obsessed. We are PASSIONATE. The more you watch and learn the more you will get the WHY!
What is really cool is that the UCLA Marching band actually did the band portion of the music.
And yes, remember to do you, its your channel, keep on your other videos also 👍🏻
남준이 천재~
RM is genius ~~he wrote most lyrics,
The reason this song has such a great meaning is because they HAVE been through it.
ARMY love watching newcomers reactions :)
You just fell down the rabbit hole.. there's no way back my friend.. welcome to ARMY 💜. We PURPLE You 💜💜😁👌
one of the things that draws armies in is when they start to learn each members personalities, and hoe they continue to grow as people and artist but are still able to stay so humble and down to earth

This quarantine has got me missing my BTS videos. No concerts mean no live performance recordings to watch. I'm 48 and can't get enough of them.

"This video makes me wish I could dance" that me basically in all of their videos, so I feel ya..

We love BTS so much that when someone shows an interest in them, we feel happy and proud to share our passion.
I hope you’ll watch Interlude: Shadow to learn more about the darker side (and also just to see Suga killing it).
yes you must watch that one!!
We love to see new people reacting to BTS.
Also for what you said at 16:38 there is a behind the scene video of them shooting this that will probably answer your question ;)
unrelated, sorry, but i love your profile pic
We love a new person falling into the army rabbit hole. Welcome. We're all hot messes, and enjoy the ride ❤
Always ♥

I’ve subscribed :)
Btw, here’s one of my fave live performances from them if you wanted to check out a live show. Their music vids are cool but they shine when live too! This is their song Dionysus from the 2020 Golden Disk Awards:

Can you imagine this performance at next year's Superbowl?
"How can you be yourself and how can you do what the label says?" Or smthn like that. That was the most epic moment for me. They do both. Trust me.
Bookish Theories has many videos that explain things about a lot of kpop videos, so it's really helpful for me 😁💖💜
I really like how you are analising all the aspects of the video and the lyrics, great job! New subscriber from Italy🇮🇹
I would suggest Fake Love MV because it has great visuals that looks like CGI but isn't.
"ON," according to the group, is a reflection of the group's 2013 single, "N.O,
they used marching band and some talented amazing dancers from LA LAB'S.
Jimin, Jungkook, and Jin talk about living with both their past selves and their current selves. While they might still have reservations about the future, likely due to the fact that anything can change overnight, they still are determined to fight for their success and put everything on the line.
"Having woken from sleep and opened my eyes, I wonder where "here" is / Perhaps Seoul, or New York or Paris / Having gotten up, my body sways."
While BTS are now in their 20s and no longer necessarily feeling the weight of academic pressure or that of the adults in charge on their shoulders, they describe a foe that, in many ways, is much more threatening: themselves.
It’s about living with your shadow and living with your pain
Drones were used for the shots that you were talking about. This, Black Swan MV, and ON official MV were all filmed in LA. The Blue Devils Drum Corps and UCLA marching band were used. You should watch the making of video. Very interesting.
BTS has a huge range of music genres in their discography, and that's part of why they are so famous. Their music really can be appealing to many different people (as well as their lyrics)
To give an example, I suggest you check their tracks Mic Drop (which is heavy hip hop based) and Singularity (which has jazz influences), and they have many more in between! Their music versatility is really amazing!
They have a song called Shadow. It is the introduction to this album. This album is their journey to accept their shadows, which refers to the dark sides of oneself.
I recommend watching the video first without the lyrics and then watching it with the lyrics. That's what I always do.
"I feel like I'm gonna be totally wrong" *gets it right*
We like it when people pause and take the time to understand what they’re saying.
Because we love BTS))
I love seeing new people getting into bts 💜
We keep tracks on new baby Army♥️ Most of us keep our eyes on new people reacting to BTS to help them explore the real BTS we know.
The “find me and I’m gonna live with you/ bleed with you” part, what I think it means is they’re calling all the hardships and struggles to come at them cuz they’ll deal with them/ they can take them on.
they’re in los angeles btw all of their newest music videos were all shot in LA
You definitely have potential to be a army theorist 😅 it's their lyrics that mostly made me love them, penned by the members themselves , so really authentic , listen to beside tracks from old albums as well , you will be amazed
Power of bts babeeeeeeee
The whole album is based of the book “jungs map of the soul” btw :)
We just love BTS :')) they have so much to offer you'll never run out of content! Might as well stan now
I reaaally like your sincerity and the way you tried to get the message behind :)
Actually i would recommend to watch the BTS ‘ON’ Commentary Film: Dialogue.
