Luke is very daddy...and I think a good name would be Brackenwood Cottage after himself and his dog, so even after they're long gone there will still be something of them left on this land and records in this place that was important in his healing journey. Also when you get to the chickens I feel like he'd name them after Jane Austen characters.

From experience, having an Australian Shepard is such a joy and a ride. Mine is so smart she's learned how we spell the names of her toys out when trying to trick her, and learned how to spell each and every toy. What a great dog breed to give him.
Maybe he could have an elder rescue cart horse that he saved too. And then the cats could be rescues that he found somewhere. Maybe all the animals that need help magically seem to find him and they all love one another and make each others hearts whole ❤
And maybe also one of the spare rooms could have some medicine supplies in it that he uses to help all the wild/ stray animals in the neighbourhood if they get poorly. I can imagine him bottle feeding baby rabbits by the fire

I'm actually so glad the floorplan got reworked to be a two bedroom, it saves me having to renovate the place when I download the save file and marry my sim self to Luke and have a child with him
I would like to offer you two names that I'd love. Calderview Croft, or Calderside Croft. I think croft could be a nice "house name" because there are crofters up in Scotland who live off the land. I'm from a wee town just outside Glasgow called Blantyre (Blantir if you're local). Where the river runs through our wee town is called the "Calder" (cawder if you're local - it's actually the Rotten Calder, but we just call it Calder). My dad still walks the dog there every single day in life. There's a waterfall (not high - about 5 feet high) and as kids we used to walk along the top of the waterfall and sometimes jump down it. I don't have particularly happy childhood memories, I'm having therapy now for long-standing childhood trauma and abuse, but my memories of the Calder were always happy.

i like "Bracken's Break" as a name for this build. I wanted to fit Bramble into the name, but it just wasn't working. Luke is always thinking of making his animals happy, so while the estate is Luke's break from the dog-eat-dog world, it's Bracken whose peace means the world to Luke.
Luke is beautiful and has a very kind face. I would like to name the cow if you don't mind, I think Adelaide would be a beautiful name. Of course you can name the cow whatever you want.
What if the Creature Keeper of Henford on Bagly just keeps bringing over orphaned animals he finds because he knows Luke will care and love them (I think a momma cat and two or three kittens would be a good story idea with this)

i feel like the cottage should just be called wildflower cottage perhaps, when luke bought it, the cottage was in disrepair and in a very sorry state littered in ivy and wildflowers etc. the creature keeper encouraged luke to cut away the wildflowers and the ivy but it was secretly what drew luke to the cottage in the first place and although the creature keeper nags luke to cut it away, luke conveniently happens to forget

We still use "Fors" in Sweden, spelled like this instead. But we mostly use it for rapids rather than waterfalls though it still can mean both! :)
