I'd welcome a "Resurgence" sequel. Watched as a series, it has a better plot and storyline than most current "Trek" series produced by Paramount
So I'm a retired Army E-8 who was in the Signal Corps(Communications). That being said, on a ship, as we would in the Army, you have your different positions and, /or staff positions. Personnel, Ops/Intel, Logistics, Communications, etc. All being important to accomplishing the mission. I'm also looking forward to playing this game!!
My catch phrase to go to warp would be "...let's kick some balls!"

This is a dream game for me, what more could you want as a Star Trek enthusiast
Well I would like to see more game play mechanics added in a sequel but as an interactive story it's great! I love the art assets and voice acting. Soundtrack is good but audio with some characters was glitchy. Hopefully patch is underway.
I wish it wasn't on rails so much, it's 2023 we should be able to explore the ship freely by now. Hopefully this will open more Star trek games with expended possibilities. I want games that make the ship feel like your home and with characters you care about with life and death decisions. You take red dead redemption camp environment with hours of dialog but on your starship. To have this though it would need a triple A developer.
Telltale only makes these story games and not open world games. So think of this as a mini-series instead of a computer game.

Well the story is really good so far (I'm about 4 hours in) but on the Xbox series x version there has been quite a few graphical and sound glitches. But yeah agree the story is solid. As good as a TNG episode. The enlisted crew has the best voice acting I think. I love that switch in perspective between first officer and petty officer. Awesome!
The Operations Management (Ops) position has been standard from TNG onwards. It was the front-right station on the Enterprise-D bridge. Ops basically runs logistics for the entire starship, deciding who gets what resources when and so forth and such on. I've always thought that must be the most taxing bridge position during normal operations, even with AI routines doing most of the work.
Not sure how easy it is to find anymore, but if you really want to geek out, the "Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual" has a whole section on the Operations station and systems.
Oh, and my command catchphrase would be "Let us proceed." ;)

@@Archangelm127 I'm pretty sure there is one you know, I think there's a UFP first 150 years book, there's a starfleet cadet academy curriculum book, and officers manual, and the coverted starfleet technical manual that includes all the articles of the federation, federation flags, seals and uniforms, etc etc etc, there's also a starfleet intelligence agents orientation book, cadet training manual, and even a starfleet membership handbook!!!!
There's sooooooo many....more than I can afford hahahaha, I'm gunna have to pick out which I want most, them gradually but the rest bit by bit.

Well, this game is splendid for trekkies to delve into and that is what I so like and the only reason for me to be to play it. It is a fan service, which has to be appreciated. But from what I already saw on the internet, the gameplay, the mini games, the animations, the strange stealth system, the year 2005 game type feeling …… yeah, we‘ll see. Hopefully, they will patch the menu a bit (30 fps? Motion blur not deactivateable?). Thanks for playing it for us! ♥️👍

A Centaur class research vessel? I read somewhere that class was cobbled from multiple ships like the Excelsior during the Dominion war as a barebones mass production fighter. I guess the lore was unofficial
Looks like a refit, or variant, with the modified Hull and Pylons. So I suppose it is possible that could be a research vessel now?

Ya, it was part of the "Frankenstein Fleet" along with Yeager (Intrepid/fighter) spare parts kit bash for Doninion War I'm pretty sure. It was a merger of leftover/scrap Miranda and Excelsior hulls. It was a destroyer/light cruiser in Beta Cannon, but not a production ship, just a slap job for the war, they probably re tasked surviving ones to science roles after the war

On the Galaxy-class, Tactical was on the raised dais behind the captain's chair (Worf), the two forward consoles Helm (random person and on the RIGHT SIDE) and Ops (usually Data, on the LEFT SIDE), then in the back the 5 stations were, from left-to-right: Science I, Science II, Mission Ops, Environmental, and Engineering.
I’m a TNG fan and I’ve bought it as soon as it came out. Being enjoying the story a lot! The mini games aren’t so interesting but they are just a small part of the game. I guess they put them as a break from the dialog, yet I wish they were a little more challenging. Totally recomend it! Must buy for any Trek fan

The only thing about this game is that it's not properly polished. But the story, characters and gameplay is really what a ST game deserved for a long long time!
I totally agree with you. A narrative driven/moral dilemma game is a refreshing change from solely combat focussed games.

Hehehe glad to see the Centaur Class kitbash. That pegs the game around Dominion War/DS9 era. One of my favorite Frankenstein ships. Looks like an interesting game thanks for taking a look at this for us!

I would die for a proper Bridge Commander sequel... and/or a well made Starfleet Command 4... And I know I'm not alone.

Did not know about this game : it is a pretty sweet experience, and I am not even a Star Trek fan (but I love immersion, storytelling, and most sci-fi). TY for sharing.

Heard the console versions are slightly better. But they're more than double the price where i'm from.
This looks like what I hoped Star Trek Online would have been closer to. Somewhere between that and Bridge Commander. Will definitely have to check it out!
Also as far as the story... I'm feeling like the Captain got too much ego and it cost people their lives. We'll have to see!
Agreed...I felt that too....but...at least it's hit him where it hurts...at least he's feeling remorseful....I'm intrigued in the game...but it looks more like a Interactive movie than a game.......

USS Resolute is a Centaur class. The Centaur exists basically because they kit-bashed ships together for TNG, DS9, and Voyager in the days before CGI.
Wow there is many known voice actors in this game. This Bendrosi (?) Girl has the same voice actress like Liara from Mass effect. Love it!
Just finished my first playthrough and cant wait to try different choices, the game was great!

Highly appreciate the sneak peek of this game. Looking forward to purchasing it once the price goes down a bit. For now, it looks like a pretty satisfying game so far. Just checked by the way, the Resolute's actually a Centaur-class vessel. I thought it was maybe an Akira-class. I know you thought it might be a Miranda-class.

It’s strange that a lot of trek games are shooters or rts games, when the setting is way better for adventure games like this.
Recently started playing this one, I like it, bit janky in areas (settings) but otherwise really good game. Left a like. 🤘🙏🤗

FINALLY ... after complete failure mobile and / or browser games that didn't deserve to carry the name Star Trek (Fleet Command, TImelines, Alien Domain - including Incursion) and initally pretty good Star Trek games that didn't age too well or got busted by CBS (Star Trek Online, Star Trek Adversaries, Stage 9), it seems that we FINALLY get a Star Trek game again that's Worf it (pun intended)! I grew up with "A Final Unity" and the Nintendo games (TNG on Gameboy and NES), really loved Bridge Commander, Elite Force, Armada etc. which were all set in the TNG/DS9/VOY era. I hope we will get a sequel to this game, some time. Greetings from Captain Matthew Bluefox.

Im enjoying the game so far. Playing on PC there is already a community fix to change the resolution and disable the god awful motion blur, and unlock the frame rate. Goodness knows why these options were locked in the first place. The game now actually looks really good on my ultrawide monitor at 1440p 60fps.

We need a Star Trek game that feels like Star Trek and not one focused on combat.
Out of which previous Star Trek game would this be comparable to? Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (I think that's mainly an FPS)? Can you take command of your starship like in Bridge Crew or can you do what you want like in Star Trek Online? It looks like a really neat game. :)
It's basically a telltale-style adventure game. Free roam is only limited to very small areas.
I would haplily ditch the little action sequences and replace them with choices that lead to a greater variety of mission threads. Really awesome concept.

Roxy did you ever try Star Trek bridge crew, it really didnt get rhe credit it deserved. It was an updated bridge commander which im sure you covered in the past. I do live the idea of being the captain and hsve to order the other stations and crew insted of doing it myself. Like silent hunter in space lol.
I did but didn’t have anyone to play with so felt really uncomfortable online lol the single player isn’t as fun though right?

She's REALLY young for a Commander. Riker was 29 at the start of TNG, which was notably young to be a Commander and First Officer. But this girl looks like she's about 20. Did she get promoted straight out of the academy or something?
Then again, Kobliads might just age slowly. Ty Kajada had been following Roa Vantika for "twenty years", but the actress playing her was in her early thirties.
They mentioned that this takes place at some point after the Dominion War. Perhaps the massive losses that Starfleet took led to a lot of early promotions?

good game so far, not a big rek fan but it is how future star trek interactive media games should be, the complex dicisions make it feel like classic trek and how life on board ship would be, on modern ships in space and on sea work as portrayed in game, the entire crew interacting based on the current problem or discision, the shows and films are often ridiculous in portraying this.
Part of the old telltale the CEO well some say was what brought the old telltale down some don't like what he done to the employees but some of them worked on this game at least I think it was them I know they was making a star trek game with Spock.

Kinda makes me wanna get back into STO since I can't deal with single player games.
But then again I am making plans to explore the investigation and exploration content Star Citizen has to offer.
It's true they aren't truly implemented yet, but the game has so much hidden content and mechanics most players don't know about because they never tried looking into it.
My dream should would probably be something like an exploration Spirit variant, but until something like that comes along I will have to make do with ships like the awesome Terrapin or the 400i.

I love star citizen but save your money I'm being 100% honest with you. Game looks amazing but has zero gameplay loops it's grind is ment to make you spend real money on ships because their is no gameplay loops.

Ships class is super outdated - that is my only complaint. Nice to have a game in the DS9 TNG era(though the top grey of the uniform should be lighter and the colored part not so bright).
I know this is a long shot asking here, but, am I seeing it right that its only going to be available on epic games first, not both epic and steam?
