Bret called a masterpiece. His current attitude sometimes makes me forget that he really is the best there was! I like being reminded of THAT Bret every now and then.
Well, let's put things in perspective. If a company you worked for a) took you for granted and never gave you the respect you thought you deserved, b) publicly humiliated you on a national scale in front of several thousand people who you are a hero to, much to the benefit of a co-worker you share a mutual hate with, and c) is effectively responsible for the death of your younger brother, I mean, what would you consider an appropriate amount of time to be mad about that?
Realistically speaking, I would probably be mad for about 15 to 20 years max. I think Bret is finally at a point where he should just take a couple of deep breaths and forgive and forget. The man beat cancer! If anything, that experience should have taught Bret that life is too short and precious to spend it angry and bitter.
Okay, 15-20 years, but starting when? Montreal Screwjob was in 1997, and Owen died in 1999. Either way, we are still within 20 years of those two events. At the same time, you can't say he hasn't tried to move past his issues. The very fact he makes appearances for the company, as well as the fact that he has (at least in public appearances) buried the hatchet with both Shaun Michaels and Vince McMahon at least shows an effort to move on. Not saying he should be angry forever, but letting go of that kind of bad blood is a lot easier said than done.
As much as I am here for my usual comment, first I must say R.I.P Eddie. You were one of a kind and we all miss you to this day. Rebook Zack Ryders United States Championship run.
I have never been a fan of Hart, but I respect the hell out of his in ring skill and knowledge. I will freely admit, that Bret could wrestle a broomstick to a 5-star WrestleMania main event.
Yep, he messed up against 'taker in the run up to SummerSlam and the dead man legit took him out and pinned him with a look of contempt in his face before walking off leaving Bulldog in shock and Paul Bearer holding the body bag.
Bulldog and Brett put on one of my top 3 matches ever. Even as a diehard Hitman fan at the age of 6 in 92' I couldn't be upset, it was just a fantastic match.
I don't need to see female wrestlers in bikinis doing demeaning things. If I want to see a naked woman I'll either have sex with my girlfriend or watch some porn.
Yea it did, I still remember J.R saying , "August 15 will live in Randy Orton memory for ever" or Kings "would you rather be build like a truck, or a Greek God", "Remember destiny Randy".
+GoToWork751 oh of course the first match of a Promotion doesn't mean shit compared to the opener of a PPV. Think about it again after you are done with kissing Adam's ass!
I never was, but someone seems upset. Yes the first match of a promotion means something because everything before was leading up to that promotion. I'm not saying all the screwy finishes are the best ideas, but having it on the first pay per view when you expect a payoff, is way worse than having it on on a regular show's first match. Think about it again
I love how he says we need more things to put in these lists to stop repeating ourselves but after he leaves the list just seem like Simon or Jules is repeating themselves
When I heard that Brett carried him the whole match, that just makes the fact that it was a classic all the more kudos towards the Hitman. I became a fan of Brets after that match.
+Ocelot I am not an unsimple man, when I see Eddie in the Thumbnail, I click like then click unlike then click like again so I can click unlike to click like again.
Summerslam 92 took place at Wembley stadium not Wembley Arena, two different venues. You also failed to mention the near riot that took place in the crowd due to people sitting in the wrong seats etc.
nickythebull82 1. Chris Benoit was born 2. Chris Benoit was a child 3. Chris Benoit was a wrestler 4. Chris Benoit was in the WWE 5. Chris Benoit had some great matches 6. Chris Benoit was employed by Vince 7. Chris Benoit worked with other people 8. Chris Benoit has the same name as Chris Jericho 9. Chris Benoit existed 10. Chris Benoit was Chris Benoit
Awesome job by the Hitman. I didn't know about that and it's another reason why he is one of the all time greats. God these lists are making me miss the good ol days of wrestling.
Remember going to blockbuster looking to rent all the VHS on wwf/wcw. I prolly rented every special, and ppv shows before I was I discovered wrestling. I still have a shitload of recorded live ppvs from the 96-99. Recorded everyone. Even recorded A&E biographies.
From now on every time you "fake laugh" you have to do it in your Seth Rollins laugh. And have his face pop out from the side of the screen like Dan Forden saying TOASTY! in Mortal Kombat lmao
I'm Rick Harrison, and this is my pawn shop. I work here with my old man and my son, Big Hoss. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I've learned after 21 years - you never know WHAT is gonna come through that door
Hey what culture, could you please do a video about the mcmahon-helmsley era? This is one of my favorite story lines and ideally it would include everything from the Stephanie and test wedding to the Armageddon street fight to Stephanie McMahon's promo with Vince on Raw where she references the corporate Ministry story and would include everything until the end of the story line and we would see even seemingly unrelated things like the evolution of Edge and Christian, The Hardy Boys, and The Dudley Boyz. Also, please don't forget the "Xpac and Tori Christmas Story", the "DX nights", and maybe even some of the behind the scenes developments like HHH and Chyna. If you guys or OSW review could do this it would really be a great video and it would be nostalgic for me because this was when I started watching Raw and Smackdown every week religiously. It was, in my humble opinion, WWFat it's very best storyline wise.
The whole "Jackass goes over Umaga" thing is hilarious in hindsight, as more than a decade later Johnny Knoxville went over Sami Zayn with the help of the Jackass crew in what was very close to an Attitude Era hardcore match.
Adam, i wanna thank you, the angle WCPW is doing to bring Cody in to win the invitational and face Kurt Angle is great. can't wait for WWE to do a 180 and get them back after.
I was at SummerSlam 2004. I was up high enough to see the fan run across JBL's limo and the roof bend under his weight. Right away my cousin and I looked at each other and said "Someone is going through that."
Anyone else find it highly ironic Adam B puts up the whole thing about the first ever Summerslam match ending in a draw when he himself booked the first ever WCPW match ever to end in a DQ and no contest hahaha
6:28 Actually, Bam Margera was never booked to compete @ SummerSlam 2007. The original plan was to use only 8 out of the 9 original Jackass crew, excluding Margera. When Ryan Dunn found out that Bam was not going to do it, he dropped out, and then pretty much all of the rest of the Jackass crew followed suit. Even the first SummerSlam 2007 poster featured Knoxville, Dunn, Pontius, Steve-O, England, McGhehey, Lacy, and Wee-Man, with Bam conspicuously absent. That's a real shame, too, because @ that time, Jackass was on top of the world. 1 year later, they tried to do a Johnny Knoxville vs The Great Khali @ Cyber Sunday, but those plans fizzled out, too.
Adam: they shouldn't have ended the first ever summerslam match with a draw
Adam: ends first ever wcpw match with a DQ
Lol
Draw =/= DQ
A DQ isnt a draw...
DirkAustin it's still not a proper end to a match
+Ryan Collie No but you still have a winner. In a draw you have nothing.
Bret called a masterpiece.
His current attitude sometimes makes me forget that he really is the best there was! I like being reminded of THAT Bret every now and then.
I mean hell, with all he went through, he deserves to be bitter. Wouldn't you be?
If God forbid I was in his place I'd be more pissed.

Rebook Zack Ryders United States Championship run.
he was one of the best and i loved him ..he was a good in ringer . just a shame to see his pass so young
Rebook Zack Ryder's IC title run.
Bitch.
never give up King lex
we all do
The fact the Bret was able to work one of the greatest main events in history with bulldog in that condition shows just how good he was
I miss the blue and green look fro the old SummerSlam PPV's.
same
4:04 is the best photo ever taken of shawn michaels ever
Yup
do 10 things whatculture wants you to forget about Adam Blampied.
1. The Posh Guy Who Likes Wrestling
+Shard Cyrus the main event booking of the first ever wcpw
+I Have A Theory the what controversy?
He lost the Whatculture World Heavyweight Championship to Sam but regained it shortly after
+I Have A Theory what was the controversy
The "custody angle" was the first angle I've followed, It got me into wrestling
same
Nice
the fact that Bret managed to carry an out of it Bulldog to arguably the best Summerslam match ever shows how good Bret really was.
Wembley will appreciate him for that, that's for damn sure.
Not just Wembley, we all appreciate him for it.
Absolutely, Id say all of the UK appreciates Bret for that. The match would have been a shambles had Bulldog been against anyone else.
I have never been a fan of Hart, but I respect the hell out of his in ring skill and knowledge. I will freely admit, that Bret could wrestle a broomstick to a 5-star WrestleMania main event.
Yep, he messed up against 'taker in the run up to SummerSlam and the dead man legit took him out and pinned him with a look of contempt in his face before walking off leaving Bulldog in shock and Paul Bearer holding the body bag.
geez bret.. you legitly called a whole dam match and made it an instant classic hats off to you
I googled the £10 note to see if British Bulldog really replaced the Queen. It sounded believable
I knew someone would think we really did :P
+Tesco Lemon Bleach do you do black current?
It's a special edition, I've got a couple of them.
Yeah it looked believable too
Eddie Gurrero was a father to us all
I love that you included that Bulldog Vs Hart match. As a kid that was the match that made me a big fan of Bret Hart it was so good.
Bulldog and Brett put on one of my top 3 matches ever. Even as a diehard Hitman fan at the age of 6 in 92' I couldn't be upset, it was just a fantastic match.
Lets not forget almost anything to do with women pre pg era. Bikini carwashes, diva dodgeball...
I'd love to see some bikini carwashes with paige, becky, nikki, bayley, sasha, alexa bliss... Who wouldn't ?
+Lullaby Feminists and their testicless "husband/boyfriend".
+Lullaby I'd love to see that, just not in my wrestling. They're too good for that shit.
I don't need to see female wrestlers in bikinis doing demeaning things. If I want to see a naked woman I'll either have sex with my girlfriend or watch some porn.
If the women are okay with it, then it isn't demeaning, people don't understand this.
Man that Bret/ Bulldog match really was good. It's left off alot of top 10 matches
It's made more impressive because apparently the Bulldog had forgotten all the spots and Bret had to tell him everything during the match.
Complains first Summerslam match ends in a draw when their companies first match ending in a DQ. Lol, dont worry, WCPW is great :P
But with a "DQ" finish, there is a winner. No comparison!
+Herro if it setting up an angle it is.
+Herro Says who? A bunch of salty kids on TH-cam? ........ Well, i didn't realise that this was the place filled with "experts", my bad.
Then they molested women!
amt5133 What?
Who is this Krispen Wah that you keep talking about?
Lame overused comment 👎
Chris Benoit 🤔⁉️
+mjstory1976 sorry but we need to bury and get rid of Chris
Voldemort.
m
"big Vincent's house of incidents" fucking lost it
Big Vincent's house of incidents. The best thing I have heard today, bravo sir. BX4Life
I am the only one who thought about the video was about Eddie Guerrero
No, we can read the Videos title.
+Jesus Christ hey jc love u x

Randy vs Benoit happened today back in 2004 believe it or not
on this day
My first Summerslam.
+MuffinCake I SEEE CLEEEAAARRRLLLY
+Raw Is Lachlan IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU SEE CLEARLY
Yea it did, I still remember J.R saying , "August 15 will live in Randy Orton memory for ever" or Kings "would you rather be build like a truck, or a Greek God", "Remember destiny Randy".
The first WCPW match ended in a DQ. what's your point?
Savage
Summerslam is a pay per view. Built to Destroy's first match didn't end in a DQ. What's your point?
+GoToWork751 oh of course the first match of a Promotion doesn't mean shit compared to the opener of a PPV. Think about it again after you are done with kissing Adam's ass!
Even worse, WCPW's first match ever ended with a shit finish.
I never was, but someone seems upset. Yes the first match of a promotion means something because everything before was leading up to that promotion. Can't believe Adam said Bam's name wrong.
im from philly. how dare he
no he read it as is spelled
+Chaz Bono no that would be Marguera, not Margera
kabouterwesley83 it's spelt margera...
that's exactly my point. But the pronounciation in the video suited "marguera"
“Big Vincent’s house of Incidents”
Gold
The gift of Jericho is the best gift for CHRIStmas drink it in maaaaaaannnnnn......
Because we are Y2AJ
Miss Elisabeth Bum is a underrated diva to be honest.
I was at Summerslam 92, I must have been about 7. Great night, remember watching it back on TV to see if i could spot myself.
'On the network for an undisclosed sum' is the best subtle joke in these videos.
How WWE Should Have Booked Kizarny. The guy had more promos than actual matches.
Kizarny only had one televised match (I don't count dark matches). Also to rebook Kizarny, don't call him Kizarny.
He was also in a Battle Royale, but I guess that doesn't count.
***** Yes he was, he came to SmackDown, beat MVP and went back to Coney Island or wherever he came from.
Wait...that ladder match between Eddie Guerrero and Rey mysterio was 12 years ago? Good lord...
14 years now
16
Now
17
it was like a drumroll when before Adam's voice popped up and yelled ADAM!😂😂😂
Why do I feel like that Jackass vs Umaga match would've actually been kinda cool?
I'm soo early I have to see it in 140p
144*
Well shit
Mini Max lol
+JohnnyBoy14532 nah man. I think he was SO EARLY, that he had to watch it on a no-existing video quality.
Ten things WWE want you to forget about Chris Benoit, besides he existed and killed his family and himself.
Crispen Wah?
Harley365 Nah, it never gets old.
This is why 11 yr olds shouldn't be on TH-cam.
Harley365 Really m8.
leave the tops to simon and adam please
I love how he says we need more things to put in these lists to stop repeating ourselves but after he leaves the list just seem like Simon or Jules is repeating themselves
(4:04) Shawn Michaels: DERR I'm doing a flip!
When I heard that Brett carried him the whole match, that just makes the fact that it was a classic all the more kudos towards the Hitman. I became a fan of Brets after that match.
Do a 10 things about Eddie Guerrero!!! I was so hyped when I saw the thumbnail
Lmao Shawn Michaels at 4:01
The fans at Summerslam 92 packed into Wembley Stadium. Not Wembley Arena. Wembley Arena.... is well.... an arena.
Adam's laugh is life xD
3:17 This would make for a good “What If” video
I am a simple man. When I see Eddie in the thumbnail I click like.
Ha, gay
I thought it was "10 Things Want You To Forgot About Eddie Guerrero". I guess this is good too, though.
I think there are no things people want to forget about Eddie :d He was the perfect wrestler in my opinion.
I'm not a simple man. When I see Eddie in the thumbnail I click like. Then I click unlike so I can click like again.
You should do ten things to forget about Benoit
nickythebull82 1. Chris Benoit was born

3. Chris Benoit was a wrestler
4. Chris Benoit was in the WWE
5. Chris Benoit had some great matches
6. Chris Benoit was employed by Vince

10. Chris Benoit was Chris Benoit
@@jessicauba7722 hahaha funny (not)
Who all thought this was 10 things Wwe wants you to forget about Eddie
they made one already
me
Awesome job by the Hitman. I didn't know about that and it's another reason why he is one of the all time greats. God these lists are making me miss the good ol days of wrestling.
with all due respect to the content of the vid, which is still awesome, anyone know what the background music is? sounds epic
Remember when Vince teased running for president at SS 04 or 05? Thank GOODNESS that didn't go anywhere.
adam's voice is like music to my ears
It amazes me how many people Brett carried through matches in his carrier. He really was the excellence of execution
1:17 holy shit. That guy looks like Chris Jericho (to the left)
Adam might actually be my spirit animal.
When your match carries a whole PPV,you know you're good
Bret may be a bitter old man now but calling that match on the fly was just genius. Truly the excellence of execution.
And that's why Bret was one of the greatest ever
I remember when WWE actually did this themselves in 5 Things. That was hilarious
The first ever WCPW match ended in DQ
4:05 Shawn what the hell are you doing ??
Remember going to blockbuster looking to rent all the VHS on wwf/wcw. I prolly rented every special, and ppv shows before I was I discovered wrestling. I still have a shitload of recorded live ppvs from the 96-99. Recorded everyone. Even recorded A&E biographies.
AMAZING ADAM!!!!!
Eddie is doms real dad 🤣
From now on every time you "fake laugh" you have to do it in your Seth Rollins laugh. And have his face pop out from the side of the screen like Dan Forden saying TOASTY! in Mortal Kombat lmao
That's why Bret will always will be the best ever was....
I know you said the rest of the lines after reading.
I was praying that Adam would be in this vid when it was loading
Shawn Michaels being Shawn Michaels at 4:02
I normally like Adam, but the Mountie skits from Summerslam '91 was some of the funniest stuff they've ever written.
Interesting list.
Bret is awesome for pulling off that main event.
Do 10 Things WWE Wants You to Forget About...The Attitude Era
You whistled when you said "Awkwardly"
BRING BACK THE OLD SUMMER SLAM LOGO!!!!! That Green and Yellow logo was perfect.
yeah... The Eddie Guerrero one I still remember
I miss this adam
I'm Rick Harrison, and this is my pawn shop. I work here with my old man and my son, Big Hoss. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I've learned after 21 years - you never know WHAT is gonna come through that door
I didn't see the full title and I saw the Eddie thumbnail, I though you were talking about things to forget about Eddie.
the irony of how wcpw's first ever match also ended in DQ yet that's number 10 on this list
"Categorical jagoff?" Adam's really from Pittsburgh, isn't he? :-)
Hey what culture, could you please do a video about the mcmahon-helmsley era? something that i never wanted to admit vince was handsome in his prime
The whole "Jackass goes over Umaga" thing is hilarious in hindsight, as more than a decade later Johnny Knoxville went over Sami Zayn with the help of the Jackass crew in what was very close to an Attitude Era hardcore match.
What's the song you play during these? specifically the one that starts at 0:52
The Jackass angle actually sounds pretty awesome except from the part where they go over
In Vincent's big house of incidents ! LMAO
That Eddie vs Ray it is good the boy was not really haggling from the top
I enjoyed the Mountie in jail stuff
Adam, i wanna thank you, the angle WCPW is doing to bring Cody in to win the invitational and face Kurt Angle is great. can't wait for WWE to do a 180 and get them back after.
I like how Adams like, " to have there first ever match to be a draw is terrible " now everyone watch wcpw's first match
sadly #1 is a prime example why Hart is probably the best technical wrestler ever
Do you remember when WhatCulture made a magazine called Wre- oh... nevermind
I was at SummerSlam 2004. I was up high enough to see the fan run across JBL's limo and the roof bend under his weight. Right away my cousin and I looked at each other and said "Someone is going through that."

another great show, cheers
Waooooo maybe he cries a lot, but Bret is a truley legend !
