If you put wet fruit & vegetable in a plastic container they spoil fast, therefore you have to put a liner at the bottom of container such as paper towel. Or drain and dry in a strainer before you store them in a plastic container

Our refrigerator’s are a bit different in the States. We do not have the same compartments. I like yours better.
