PHILIPPINES vs UK Quarantine (SHOCKED By The Difference)

- April 13th 2020 - We've been stranded in Siargao under the Philippines Quarantine Lockdown for 27 days now. Today we got a video clip from family in the UK and we were shocked by the difference in how things are being done there in the outskirts of London compared to here. Sacha and I were quite emotional while watching it.
We are really trying to make the most of every moment, and in this video we talk about the things that really scare us about the future of humanity. It's pretty serious stuff and it could go either way, positive or negative. But as long as we are thoughtful and keep our minds open, the healing process will be quicker and we will be able to hug each other again without fear of infection.

Well the massive outbreak in the philippines was preventable if the OFW just listen and followed procedures. But instead of staying house/room quarantine, they went to the malls and meet up with relatives. Bunch of cunts.

I’m here in london and my family rarely go out because we are always reminded that we aren’t only looking after ourselves but the people we love and the staff at the NHS. So far there are many Filipinos working in the NHS are already dead from the Coronavirus and sadly they can’t be visited by their families and probably might take a long time for the dead to be reunited with their families. With that in mind, it makes me stronger mentally to stay at home for the sake of my kababayans too. They are heroes.
True heroes. Philippines is the largest exporter of nurses worldwide. Filipino doctors, nurses, caregivers all over the world are some of the silent heroes of this pandemic. Prayers for them and for all frontliners. Keep safe, everyone!

You are very fortunate to be in lockdown in such a beautiful place. I live in London in the same area as your brother. We are among the fortunate ones who live near to large green spaces and woodland walks. Fortunately, I stocked up on essentials before the lockdown and get fruit and veg delivered weekly so I haven't had to join any of those supermarket queues. I am happy to go for my daily hour walk and spend time in my garden, planting vegetables :) Weekly zoom dinner dates with friends really helps and also work team meetings online help with the isolation from work colleagues. We all need to do our bit to prevent the spread of the virus, especially to older, more vulnerable people.
Had a recent conversation about this with my family and we're thankful we're locked down in the countryside where we can grow our own food, walk around, look at the sky and enjoy our relative peace. Can't imagine how stuffy and claustrophobic people living in sky high condos are feeling.
That is how kids here in UK...so, story is a bit lucky to have a stretch of shore..Ohhh!!!what a shame..she wanted to kiss her nanna!!!!😢😢😢
If I may share that prior 2 me watching your video I had the pleasure 2 view the amazing Italian legend vocalist Andrea Bocelli. Give a solo performance representing a message of love, healing and hope to Italy and the world. It gave me joy of course 2 hear his magnificent voice but @ the same time watching the pictures of beautiful Italy locations highlighted. Where there are no tourists or local citizens walking the streets was eerie and sad @ the same time. 2 not get into a funk I immediately thought of your beautiful daughter Storey smile & her head of curls. I said it's time 2 watch you guys hanging @ the beach nibbling on an awesome breakfast that your lovely wife prepare is whatzzzzzzz up!!! Sacha, you are an inspirational for me and many women who are learning from you how 2 do family!!! It's a welcomed pleasure 2 watch your mother & Storey because they represent calm & nature.

What your brother as shown on his video, is basically what`s going on all over the UK and most of the Countries around the World..
I`m still working, I`m a trucker, therefore we are "cataloged" as "Essential Workers" although there`s loads of us at home under the government scheme called furlough, meaning the government pays 80% of your wages the other 20% some bigger companies pay, most don't, but for those at work like me, we have a company`s document to prove WHY we are out in our car/bike etc.
As for my Country/Yours (Portugal), they not doing to bad as oppose to Spain, Italy, UK, France and others, for instance, Madeira Island where I come from and you`ve been, there`s no deaths at all, a few infected, but no one in a critical way.

I live in the US, & I'm so envious of where you are right now, living on an island near the beach. How lucky you are that you can watch the sun go up & down, being able to walk in the beach & swim. There's not much to see & do around here in my part of the globe. Story is so smart & adorable. Kudos to you for teaching her to be a responsible individual to keep the environment clean by picking up trash on he beach. Love that you don't "baby talk" to her.

My Daughter got back to UK on 15th April after being stuck here in Iloilo since 15th March and when they got to Heathrow they were totally SHOCKED...no face masks, no recommendation to self quarantine, NOTHING. Roads full of cars, seemingly like a normal day. Just look at the statistics comparing Philippines to UK and Philippines has a much larger population than UK. I know why as we are okay with lockdown and we have over 7,000 islands so much easier to restrict travel but the lack of discipline in UK is inexcusable.
Coconut jiuce is super healthy for your body....its better than water to be a honest
Coconut juice is healthy but not better than water. It has lots of sugar and drs advise to avoid if you are diabetics.
It is an acquired taste though
Coco juice has lots of potassium which may not be good for a lot of people with health issues like diabetes or kidney failure..

You guys are one of the luckiest people on earth to be lockdown in place like paradise..I can tell God has purpose why you guys end up there and have to stay and to experience simple life like that.
One way that might help you get over not liking coconut water: add sugar to it. Or consume it the Filipino farmer's way: scrape the young coconut meat and add it to the coconut water, add milk (or a milk substitute), sugar, peanuts, and salty crackers (sounds weird, but it actually tastes really good).
young coconut juice taste taken from trees near the sea taste much better. keep the juice in the ref until it is cold. it tastes better. add milk (we add alpine evaporated milk) ang sugar. add the meat.

I am so happy that you have opted to stay there in Siargao. If you need something, you can ask help from the locals, as they will try their best to help you in any way they can. Most of them, will give you food even it is their last food. They are very generous. They are shy in asking you if need anything so it is only when you ask that they will be able to help you.
