It’s not because I didn’t have it in me because I slipped on the court because it was frosted from the cold i tried doing a lay up off my right and landed on my back
Just tore mine second time. Weird thing is I didn’t feel any pain like the first time. I do simple exercises and it swells up like a grapefruit now. Gonna need 2nd surgery I guess
It's been 1 month and 3 weeks after my acl surgery . Yesterday a small pop sound occurred when I was walking which used to be there before my injury while stretching and dancing but am scared since I tore my acl . There's no pain and am able to do my physiotherapy also. Did I retear my acl?
question i have acl surgery allograft and maniscus tear 11 mm which done on july 25 2018 almost 5 monhts now, and my work is access control technician so most of the time i have to carry a 30 lbs ladder most of the time to replace the door strike upper on the tech campany, so i used 6 foot ladder, 8 foot and 12 feet ladder, and i haven't start the job and if i have to go back would that be ok not retearing my acl again?
hi Dr, i've had an ACL surgery 4 years ago and now each once awhile my outer side of knee hurts with huge unstablity. i wonder if i tore it again and shall i take any meds when that happens cause it stays uncomfortable for few weeks. thanks a lot
Probably you should get an MRI scan, it can be something else, won't hurt to check a doctor and know for sure whats going on ! hope you stay healthy + good luck ;)
Retore mine after 9 months of recovery. Almost a year of PT down the drain for nothing. I seriously hate my life and want to end it
Joe did you have good PT? Did you had good strength when you were 9 months after surgery?
You ain’t the only one 🤦🏽♂️

what is the chance of re-tearing the acl after a month of surgery? would a simple slip and fall of a wet floor cause the acl to tear again?

I don’t think so but I’m no doctor
to answer this question, MRI is the best key.
Tire same one 4 years apart. New acl is from my thigh tendon not cadaver

Get it checked out by a doctor!

Experienced doctors have recommended that you should wait two years before returning to any action
