Man is a composite being. Man has the physical body, the etheric body (vital body) and the astral body (desire body). The soul is built through experience and is three-fold: The conscious soul, the intellectual soul and the emotional soul. In Haiti, they have Ifa but the priests who practice it are called "bokor" as in the Evwheh land "Afa" spirituality and not "Babalawo" as in Ifa. The Haitians also have "Legba" which they call Papa Legba who is the "protector" who captures or arrests evil spirits and hold them against a tree or against a wall as in its name "Le na gba".
Ifa as written, is just happened to be more popular to our people in the West, and that's all, just as "vooodooo" as written was popular in the western media until now that new light is been shine on it.
And in the early 60s up to recently, the western media had intentionally lied that "voodoo" originated in Haiti.
Meanwhile they knew all about the values and its culture in West Africa as a way of life and had nothing to do with "voodoo dolls"
The Haitians are mostly Fon/Evwheh - brothers to the Yoruba - from the Evwheh land of Dahomey or Benin Rep of today.
Before 1884 Berlin conference which brought about the borders, there's no way you could see them as different people practicing different anything. It's all one thing.
We can even go on different way of writing stuff.
"Voodoo" is Hollywood right, but what it is is Vo Du meaning free people or nation in the Fon/ Evwheh language.
In Ghana, a male child born on Tuesday is called by the Evwheh people as Komla,or Kobla, and by Akans as Kobina, and the female as Abla and Abena respectively.
Most people in Ghana did not even know about Vo Du until they read about it or heard about the Hollywood version which is the distorted version which is now being chased out of town due to the new consciousness in our new age of Light.
The Ifa/Afa system is so old and ancient. It was practiced and performed for the Pharaohs and the Bokoawo or the Babalawo are the "seers" your Bible speaks about.
The Yoruba, the Evwheh, Ejebu and the rest such as the Ga and Akan and Moshie all came down together from the Northern Africa regions.
The consultation of Afa divinations was the guide that had led them to safe places and had helped them to overcome enemies.
Most names of towns are of the results of Ifa "Du" divinations.
That's why it's not cool mispronouncing these names so that they can maintain their proper vibrational frequencies.
