Want to give this guy props. I was skeptical to buy something like this from oversees... but the products he sells are actually super legit. I bought the 2x black / 2x blue / 2x yellow / 2x red .... whole thing with shipping was right around $102 ( less than the cost of replacing just 1 color in the 283fdw. Filled the blue... which only required about 10% of 1 blue bottle to fill ( maybe less ) .... that squeezed out over 900 pages ... and I still haven't run out of the blue I put in. To give you an idea of why this is such a big deal ... to print 1250 pages cost me around $400 using HP toner. To print 900 pages cost me around $1.25 using the toner this company sells.
I couldn't be happier with the product he sent and the price I paid.
This is probably one of the most help full / instructional videos that I have found to illustrate the refill process on an HP M283fdw toner cartridge 207a including links to purchase the toner and other items required.
I have however without sucess tried to find the mentioned PDF link that illustrates the issue with the waste toner compartment?
Thank you so much for posting this item, I'm certain that it has helped 100's ++ to save a fortune on new OEM replacements cartridges and as mentioned, saved a huge amount of landfill waste. 🙂

If you're refilling HP originals, the amount of toner you can get in at one go is restricted. You'll have to put it in over about 3 occasions
Compatible cartridges are normally better for refilling. See the video here about that

Hi, I like your humour. Looking at the PDF, on page 8 it says it's less messy to just refill than to empty the waste. So would you just cut through the sealant around the hole you've already made with a scalpel, refill, reseal, and good to go? Can this be done an unlimited number of times? I'm a bit confused about what happens to the waste in the waste compartment after refilling again. Wouldn't it just keep accumulating?
On refilling again: the sealant makes a pliable seal that can be easily removed so you can refill again.
On the waste: yes, it keeps accumulating, so empty it as shown on page 8 of the PDF
If you empty the waste as soon as necessary, many refills are possible: but as we say, it's naturally messier than a refill

Is it OK to cover the hole with tape or paper sticker? Also, to avoid the warnings, would it be ok to refill the cartridge before it gets totally empty?
You can try with tape, but we found it hard to get a good seal because of the nature of the surfaces. Refilling before empty is a total no no. Doesn't avoid the message and is - as explained in the video - the Cardinal Sin of toner refilling
What happens if you refill it before it runs out? If you to refill it early how to you fix the problems that result? I bought the toner from someone else and it continues to say it is low and now the ink is becoming light.
Toner don't like mixing. The result is often "scales" of toner across an entire page: a grey background in the case of black
So, down the line, to refill a second time, do you just melt a second hole somewhere close?
If you're putting toner in for a second time, use the same hole you used the first time
I am needing to locate the chips for the cartridges. I cannot locate them anywhere in the USA.
You don't need chips to get a successful refill in the way we show in the video

Any idea whether the M182nw model has the low-toner error bypass menu feature? It comes with the HP 215A cartridges.
We haven't done any research on the M182nw, so I don't know in a specific sense. But every HP laser printer we've ever worked on - except one - has had some way of getting around "stops printing" behaviour. So it would be worth you having a skim in your own user guide

We don't know of any cases where it has failed
