*** Sverre was said to be the illegitimate son of one of the Norwegian kings. He came from the Faroe Islands and claimed the throne from Magnus Erlingsson, and killed him in the battle of Fimreite in 1184. Sverre is one of the greatest and most disputed kings in the history of Norway.
**** I don't know what he means here. The translation is probably wrong as well, but this is what it says word by word.
Great reaction🤘 This was from the last album from Windir, before the tragic death of Valfar, Terje Bakken. The composer and frontman. A true genius young man.

much as I love Windir, in many ways I think what came from it, especially Vreid, after, might arguably be better. Milorg is one seriously great album.

I like Fanning and Resurrection Of The Wild more
RIP Valfar, never forgotten. My personal favorite song from them. Though Svartesmeden og Lundamyrstrollet is probably the greater achievement since the song was written and played entirely by Valfar. Its impossible to overstate the amount of musical genius it takes to compose a piece that complex and play every instrument yourself. Windir's legacy has spawned countless other bands that fuse folk and black metal (Saor and Fuath for example).

Personal fav is Saknet, it's beautiful. Eventually it evolves into something that feels spiritual near the end of the song

A greatest band, masterpiece of pagan black metal. My favourite song is on Arntor, and named Saknet. Probably the most iconic band who introduce some non metal styles on his sounds…

This is another INTRODUCTION eheh 2'00" Do you like the artwork guys ? 3'42" Paradiddle patterns on double drums with sort of accents and/or triplets 4'00"😘 And 4'15" 4'45" The arrangements of guitar are melodic . 5'15" I like the passage in odd time on the crashes 6'40" Particular arrangements on synths and or other stuff eh ?! 6'52" Changing timing ; flams with the pedals . 7'45" Sort of progressive signatures . To me on of the best work is here with pedals . 8'56" Very interested Suuziiii 9'10" You are WISE 9'20" Like Travis face here in particular 9'52" Dancing Travis 10'30" Suuuziiiiii likes the mood 10'42" Goood passage on the snare . The final is a slow passage to mute 11'37" Love the Guys... that drummer did various technical passages 12'06" 😎 12'22" 👬
Listen to "Likbør". It's the last track off of his first album, Sóknardalr.
The album in itself is a masterpiece of beautifully written music, but "Likbør" stands out.

Doesn`t like your reaction. You react as people who are used to bang with your head but does not understand what song is about. Very superficial reacting at the melodic elements.... Windir is a something special, it`s history back band. it seems to me that you don`t know anything about it.
