@@tpfoxCastro Decamo is only good when used with Blooncineration, given you're not using it for the Decamo properties, but the fortification stripping... sadly, there is no tower in game that strips the fortified status while keeping camo.
If Ninjakiwi really insists on disarming the sub paragon for 10 WHOLE SECONDS during the nuke ability (which I still heavily disagree with), how about we compromise a little? Instead of completely disarming the sub for 10 seconds, it instead forcefully submerges the paragon for 10 seconds while it launches the nuke, and it cannot emerge for the duration. After the 10 seconds, the sub paragon will re-emerge if it wasn't already submerged. This won't completely disable the tower and still allows it to use its submerged radiation attack. While it still effectively disarms the sub paragon, it won't be as significant of a risk because it is able to at the very least deal some chip damage around the tower and buff nearby towers while it fires the nuke. I feel like this is a flavourful addition to the game that sort of makes sense. It's like the sub is 'acquiring' its target using the radiation sonar attack while it launches the nuke. What do you guys think?
I think this would've made total sense and been the perfect change...Before they buffed the radiation damage. I still think this is a great idea, by maybe it's a little too much now? If they nerd the radiation damage just a little, I think it would still work.
@tpfoxCastro I see where you're coming from but, this is a paragon we're talking about. Even with the new buffed radiation attack, the 10 second main attack itself is still significantly reducing it's total dps by many magnitudes, even with the buff taken into account, making it the weakest paragon by far for those 10 seconds. If Ninjakiwi really insists on disarming the sub, either reduce the duration OR at the very least let it use its alternate, vastly inferior attack mode to compensate for the massive disarm.
Damn, the sub is still bugged to have the radiation attack even when unsubmerged (there's no animation but it still deals damage). You can see the rainbow bloons at 15:40 getting popped by this invisible attack. Not sure why this hasn't been fixed, sub paragon has been out for the better part of a year now...
honestly, i wouldn't mind if they just made the sub do less damage as long as they give it more support abilities. a support paragon would be a really cool game changer to the game
I think the sub paragon should be better in submerged alone, but better submerged when you have other paragons/VTSG on screen. Buff should def be map wide though

I have some ideas that might make it stick out~ Submerged mode should keep with the idea of the top path's Advanced Intel by having Monkey Villages gain the Sub Paragon's Radar and Effects as long as the Sub Paragon is Submerged. And also most importantly, allow it to keep attacking when using the ability! or if they insist on keeping the 10 seconds of no attacking, then a compromise could be to give it a passive synergy by having certain tier 5 big boom towers to leave puddles of fallout from their attacks during that 10 seconds. These are: Top Path Mortar Monkey "The Biggest One" / Middle Path Monkey Ace "Tsar Bomba" / Middle Path Dartling Gunner "M.A.D"
I feel like to make submerged good they have to give the unsumberged horrible pierce, like its really good against bads and only one bad. But like when you send it like a billion ZOMGS, submerged is useful
Literally the only purpose of submerging it is to support it just has never crossed my mind why would they even bother with the damage of the submerged attack because having the thing unsubmerged is just better in terms of damage
I was also wondering this, and then saw that he did later do it, but he didn't realize that they changed it so 401 did all that 402 did while submerged for cheaper.
The decamo is extremely useful for the extremely difficult to pop, regrow fortified camo red bloon.

I kind of assumed that that was how it worked already before I just tested it. It makes zero sense how it works currently.

You should have tested the Paragon buff with Submarines, as thats why you would keep the Paragon submerged in the first place.
Also for the ability cooldown reduction

The most useful part of submerged sub paragon is to not steal pops while pop farming for other paragons. Excellent tier 4 choice for most boss events.
