Come back to TH-cam! You rock Olly. Thanks
Thank you! I'm trying to find the time and energy to film and then edit what I do...
Genius! That was the best video to really get an idea of how to solve problem with cork! Thanks for your time
Thank you! I'm glad you appreciate it and found it so useful. I hope it helps. All the best!
@@OllyParryJones i ended up changing the cork , that was too damaged, but now I know how to rectify it for the future☺
It looks like you managed to true up the tyre beautifully! A very innovative and functional method! Well done!
Thanks for sharing a great jig Olly. Worth keeping such a simple and useful machine as a bandsaw up to par.
nice work....i wonder how it would go on my crusty vintage rubber tyres that are almost fossilised!
Thank you! I'm not sure how well this method would work on rubber. But I do hope you find a solution.
@@OllyParryJones I tried a similar method and it worked well.....im hoping now I can glue my urethane Tyers over the last bit of crowned rubber that I've left...not much in fact so the thickness of tyre will still be the same...I did have to take special care for a good crown and rounding...im using CA glue...ive found it pretty good on rubber and it's easy to use with the accelerator spray that come with it.
Thank you, Jim. I'm glad you liked it and, yes, I do strongly agree. Especially as my bandsaw is the 'heart' of my workshop. :-)
hi olly ,dougie here ,another great informative video olly,i often wonder how many power tools end up on the scrap heap marked as well to be polite about it utter rubbish ,when an simple jig could have sorted the problem out .its grat to see videos like this on utube reckon its save a lot of people a lot of money ....thanks again olly....
Loks like it is running perfect now! Nice!
An excellent solution Olly, and a great jig to boot. Good job butty :)
Take care
Mike
Very resourceful! You are like me....you never throw anything away! (old bandsaw tire)! : )
Thanks for watching, Tom.
Thanks for watching, Chris! :-)
Hi Dougie and thank you very much indeed! You're welcome and I quite agree. Even if you can't fix it yourself, I believe there is always someone else who would be prepared to have a go (fixing things is a hobby in itself). :-)
Ingenious, simple and cheap!
Thank you, I'm glad you found it useful. :-)
Thank you, Thomas. :-)
Thank you, Wilf! :-)
Thanks, Mike. :-)
Brilliant
Great and simple!!

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.
All assuming the case of the machine is level and square!
I think a machine's frame would have to have been damaged for it to be anything other than "close enough". Bandsaw frames tend to 'bend' or flex very, very slightly as blade tension is applied. I've often worked with saws where the two wheels are not coplanar and it doesn't create huge problems.
