Thank you, yes, long overdue! Got to push really hard to get that screw in. Glad I got the posidrive screwdriver, it is super and makes me confident I won't strip the screw or driver.

Any tips or general rules/best practices for angles and distance between the bindings? I am always adjusting and am self taught. My angles right now are 60 degrees left and right.

I have a writeup on this. Send me an email and I'll get it to you. It's pretty long. At some point it will become a video.

    Which board model is this?

This is excellent! The instructions from F2 were so insufficient. They didn’t explain any of this.

@suz4359 Scoliosis in adults is degenerative. I know several people who have developed it. None of them have ever touched a snowboard.

@suz4359 Thank you for your complimentary remote diagnosis. Can you link to any research studies that correlate alpine snowboarding and scoliosis? The only sports related studies that I found said that gymnasts and ballet dancers have the highest risk for scoliosis. Also impact injuries from just about any sport can be a factor. Other sports were listed, even golf, but none that I found mentioned alpine snowboarding. Alpine racer Maggie Rose Carrigan developed scoliosis but she was diagnosed before she got into alpine and in fact at the time was riding duck on a regular snowboard. She was doing jumps and rails so in her case it could have been congenital or from an impact injury. Another thing to keep in mind is that most of us are not pros who are on the slopes all season. At most I get about 14 days a year on the board and often it’s a lot less than that. I also ski in between. If I develop scoliosis, or per your diagnosis, I already suffer from it, I don’t think it’s from alpine snowboarding.

@suz4359 You keep talking past my questions by repeatedly saying “This isn’t up for debate” which is nothing more than proof by assertion. So I will ask again. Show me the data! Send us a link to or cite any studies that show a correlation with binding angles and scoliosis.

@suz4359 Those are accidents which can occur in many sports activities, which in any case I am not disputing. I am a cyclist which probably puts me at higher risk than snowboarding Again, you are going off on unrelated tangents and talking past my request for studies.

@suz4359 I did look for published studies online but could not find a single report that specifically correlated scoliosis with alpine snowboarding. I did find a few showing that gymnasts, swimmers, figure skaters, golfers, and ballet dancers are at a higher risk especially if they started out young.
